Response time was good. Only the post held up mummy request.

Forms on the website were a bit clunky. Separation of named contacts and trustees was not clear and adding names became confusing.

After struggling to set up a trust account with another bank, I was fortunate enough to find United Trust and was amazed by their straightforward application process and their e mail communication. I was able to set up an account within the week. Most impressive

An immediate, convivial response to my emailed request was encountered. As per my (now considerable) past experience (NB initial account was circa 1994 when residing at a different address: a deposit receiving 8% return), UTB offered flexibility that would be the envy of other banks and, additionally, a very competitive APR.

I was able to give maturity instructions, confident my wishes were clear.

I had a few issues in trying to use the online system to move funds from a maturing bond account to a new fixed term ISA. After exchanging a couple of secure messages I was able to set up the new account and give my desired maturity instructions. The response times were not immediate but acceptable and my instructions were confirmed quickly. My advice to other customers is to engage with bank early on if you cannot see how to do want you want to do as it will save time and frustration, bearing in mind that the process does vary across the different financial institutions.
