Attended a Bass Phillip wine dinner… much less than amazing

Attended a Bass Phillip wine dinner hosted by United Cellars.
Greeted with a thimble pour of lovely Gewürztraminer - then spend 40 mins waiting without a drink.
Great food inconsistently proportioned between sharing guests you don’t know - this leaves you hungry.
Overall it was very lacklustre for the price. Often sitting with an empty glass while full bottles of wine sit unopened.
It felt like the host wanted us to drink as little as possible so he got the leftovers. Very different to many generous wine dinners below this price point.
Just sad because the wine was great.

Nestor knows my taste
