Very disappointing experience with UniAcco
I trusted UniAcco while booking my accommodation, and that trust cost me £500. I was guided by their representatives Abhishek Sawant and Ayesha, who promised me a £400 cashback and £100 referral bonus. I was told not to fill out any cashback form and was assured that everything would be taken care of.
Later, I was informed by the accommodation authorities that I was not eligible, and that UniAcco had not properly registered me. When I tried reaching out to both representatives to understand what went wrong, they stopped replying completely.
This may not sound like a big issue to some, but as an international student, £500 is a very big amount to lose. It affected me financially and emotionally. What hurts more is that I was also asked to leave a 5-star review before this issue came to light.
I’m sharing this so other students don’t go through the same experience. Please be careful, get everything in writing, and don’t rely only on verbal promises.

I felt really good consulted by Rahul and Neha. They answered all my questions and gave me really good options to choose from. One star is missing because we reserved an apartment and already made the payment but there was still some one who could book it.

UniAcco’s work process is so smooth and easy for people. They are very cooperative and helpful to give us a better living experience. Specially, my agent Prem, he was so much helpful throughout the rental process.

They were so accommodating! I was struggling with finding a place and wasn’t certain about where I wanted to live for the year but they recommended places and guided me throughout the process according to what I wanted. Kaushik and Raghavi were a tremendous help!

My experience at first was not seamless, but I got help from Hiamnsh and Syed Quadri. They were very professional and patient with answering all my questions while ensuring I got what I wanted. I am so impressed and thankful to Hiamnsh and Syed Quadri. I recommend these guys to anyone trying to get help with accommodation.

While looking for student accommodation, I stumbled on this website and somehow entered my details thinking I was booking on the official website. Every day after that I was called and emailed to put down a deposit for a building which I had not seen yet or even booked. After a few days I put down a £50 holding fee. I was told this was refundable, fully refundable. I asked multiple times and was told it was fully refundable.

On the same day I realised uniacco was not the official website for the student accommodation I was looking at and they were only a middle man and so I decided to message and cancel. After sending the payment they become much less responsive then they first were. Taking almost days to reply.

The first time I asked for the refund they said they would send it on the 2nd of January as their team was on holiday. This seems to be a trend when customers ask for a refund.

After waiting until the 2nd the refund did not arrive so I messaged again and informed them and they said they didn't know what it was was talking about and they didn't know I even sent a payment. This leads me to believe that they initially lied to me about the refund or that are grossly mismanaged. Either one is not good.

After this, I was tired of waiting and these agents lying to me constantly, I contacted my bank and the bank requested an ARN. I contacted uniacco again for this information and they couldn't provide it.

I was going to start the chargeback process when they sent me a receipt to confirm they had started the refund.

This simple process was incredibly stressful and I do not recommend using uniacco at all. The ghosting, lies and deception are all part of the reason why this service should not be used. Thats what makes this a simple 0/5.
