I contacted Ultimate Shutters to provide a quote for roller shutters for all windows of my double storey home. While they didn't provide the cheapest quote, their process was so quick and easy compared to the stuff around I got from all the other companies contacted. Also couldn't be happier with the job done, installation was meticulous and the shutters work great. Highy recommend Ultimate Shutter.

When building our new home on the Sunny Coast in Queensland we identified Ultimate Shutters as a prospect supplier out of many on the Internet.
As we required 6 differing size shutters it was not just an off the shelf purchase.
From our initial contact and follow up with salesman Tom in Melbourne and the attendance on site for measuring and then installation by Ultimate's local contractor the service and fulfillment of our requirements was first class.

My wife and I would highly recommend Ultimate Shutters for supply and installation of external shutters if you are looking for professional and friendly service.

This company is Absolutely terrible to deal with. DO NOT do business with them, I was promised my shutters in 6 to 8 weeks it took them nearly 17 weeks, the installer came out alone and I had to spend half a day up on a ladder helping the installer FIT the shutters as he needed a second set of hands to hold them. After all this they provided me with the WRONG color (wasn't out by a huge amount was still grey, but the wrong grey) after all this I tried to come to a compromise with them as obviously I wished to have the shutters either re done in the right color to match everything else or some sort of discount for the much around, they offered a few hundred dollars off a $17,000 job. When I said that wasn't acceptable I wanted them to do something better they assumed I was trying to dodge the bill, were extremely rude and unprofessional, emailed me back and said they are removing the good will discount of a few hundred and if I didn't pay in 24 hours they would add a near $1800 late fee, I responded to them and said that wasn't acceptable I'm waiting for the general manager to come up with a fair middle ground instead I got send a new invoice with the $1800 fee added and the next morning was forwarded to E Collect a debt collection agency they use. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from what looks to be a good company. I will be pursuing this further, but in my honest opinion I would steer clear of these people. I have had shutters done on my two other houses and never had any issues like this before. I have also worked in the sales and building industry for well over a decade and have never seen a company treat its customers like this. They took $5400 deposit so they have some of the money and they will not come to a fair arrangement. To put it into perspective from memory I was only asking for approx another $1000 off the price of the total job to make it fair and Instead this is how I get treated. Ultimate shutter you are the ultimate customer service failures.

Absolutely loved the product. We bought a property on a busy road and it was very noise at times. There is a massive difference since we installed Ultimate Shutters. They also keep our rooms warm in this crazy winter. They look great and does the job. Highly recommend it.

Recently our family requested several quotes for installation, which included Ultimate Shutters. We dealt with their Qld based sales rep'. During the initial quote discussions he came across as your usual sale rep' endorsing the quality of the product. While we had no reservations that the product and company were reputable, and that the sales rep' provided a timely quote, once provided he became a very 'pushy' and inappropriate person. He was made fully aware that we were seeking alternative quotes and that we were upfront with our decision once made. However, and to my shock, after advising him that the family would hopefully weigh up their options later that night, due to our Mother being in hospital, and give him an answer that next day by C.O.B. The next day at 2:30pm he sent a text to my phone;
'Hoping you can get it over the line I can assure you that your family will be happy with our shutters and the job we do.'
I then updated him that our Mother was still in hospital and hopefully we could have an answer for him but would need to see how she felt once she returned home. He replied politely hoping that it was nothing serious.
Imagine my disbelief the following day (Good Friday) 09:45am to receive a text from him as follows;
'Hi, hope your mother is doing better. I have just sent the quote to you and your partner. My boss approved to keep the discounted price open for today also as your mother was still in hospital yesterday. Are you happy to pay via the quote or would you prefer to do credit card over the phone?'
I did not respond, as you can imagine he was now coming across as very pushy and making huge assumptions of a secured sale!!
Then, that afternoon 2:35pm, another text from him;
'I haven't heard back from you yet, is everything ok?'
Then and there, the family made a collective decision to go with an alternative company, and at 3:05pm I sent a simple, yet very polite email to him, advising him of our decision and thanking him for his help during the quote process.
Case closed you would think?
Given it was still the Easter long weekend and I had advised all companies we would respond as soon as possible, given our mother's hospitalisation, I felt that sales rep' was extended additional courtesy from our end in speeding up the outcome and response.
Obviously not! Some 15 minutes later, I receive a text from him;
'I got your email and quite frankly I'm shocked at your decision, how did we miss out on the job'
At this stage, given all the above, I was now pretty 'annoyed' by this guy's arrogance and inability to comprehend a 'no sale'. I sent back a text, without abuse, giving the young lad a life analogy regarding 'customer choice' and 'customer service' ending it with a request that he remove my mobile number from his phone.
Believe it or not, the next day at 11:39am, I receive yet another text from him, reading (Remember, my text to him WAS NOT abusive in anyway);
'We are happy that we are not doing your shutters as you have just proven what type of customer you are with that message you sent; the type we don't want to deal with. Good luck to the other company doing your shutters'
Now I was really annoyed!!!! and responded with a text that I would discuss his conduct with his head office and AGAIN remove my number from your phone as I now consider this harassment...
The next day I emailed the head office, to the limited contact options on their website, requesting the managing director contact me for 'a serious complaint regarding one of their sales rep's'...
The icing on the cake?? A week and a half later... nothing!! Not one call, no email...NOTHING!!
Quite frankly Ultimate, and to coin a phrase used by your arrogant and pushy sales rep', 'You're the sort of company we DO NOT want to deal with and good luck to the customers that do'

i had 8 shutters supplied and installed by this company and i am very happy with the price and their service. i will definitely recommend them to my friend.

I recently installed the slimline DIY shutters from Ultimate shutters and couldn't be happier with the ease of installation and quality of the product.
Damien was very helpful and made the process easy.
It was truly DIY and with the remote control setup there was no adjustment needed.
I picked them up from the factory and had them installed the next day.
I am amazed at the amount of heat they keep out the bedroom which gets full afternoon sun.
I intend to fit more of them.

Best experience with the whole process, from ordering through to the completed job. Tradesmen not only turned up but were early. Every tradesman was polite and executed their task with precision.
We are so happy with the product as the temperature in the rooms is noticeably cooler than other adjacent rooms, all facing East. They look good too!
I would not hesitate in recommending this company to family and friends.

Good product but not good with installation or communication. I had the shutter installed to the window on a Tuesday of one week only to be told that the electrician would contact me to do the electrics at a later date! I was not told that the installation would not be completed on the same day. I eventually had the electrics done a week later after several phone calls from me to the company to chase it up. This was not a good experience. However, happy with the shutter now that it is up and running.

easy to deal with great price efficient and professional

Initial dealings and timeframes were great but there was a long turnaround between getting my shutter installed and getting it wired in by the electrician. Dealing with Ulitmate Shutters itself was good and they responded quickly and efficiently to my emails.

These are great shutters. Easy to install with the instructions provided. Quick turnaround from order time to delivery.
Will buy from this company again.

Wiring Instructions were not with the Shutter. Shutter width was 22mm short.
