Postage costs have got very expensive

Postage costs have got very expensive. It used to be free on any order, then £30, then £40, now £50. And not only that, but if you are under and have to pay it's £8.50 which is very expensive.

I ordered components over the free…

I ordered components over the free delivery amount one item was lead solder and they removed it from my order because I am a private buyer trying to repair very old PCB’s with lead solder already on them.

Poor Service and over priced.

I bought a product that requires…

I bought a product that requires additional products to make it viable. This was not clear in the description. Customer service then informed me that you no longer stock those additional items.
In turn when I then asked for a refund, I was told I had to pay for the return of the goods! Not at all satisfactory.
I have found what I need elsewhere, cheaper and with all the additional items.
Still haven't had a refund.

don't bother with guaranteed delivery

We ordered parts for "guaranteed next day by 10:30am delivery". At 3pm the courier was at stop 45 and we were his 53rd stop (!). This massive delay cost us a lot of money in lost time (people, production..). To say that I am not impressed is an understatement.

Last minute need - not a relationship with RS

Purchase was ok but we no longer have a working relationship with RS as we lost all our discount structure after many years a couple of year back when our RS Rep moved on and the replacement was not interested in keeping our business - so if we place orders with RS it will purely be because we have no option. Not a company we recommend using unless you have deep pockets

Great service !

Ordered a single item online for collection from the local depot. Ready for collection on time. Staff were friendly. Great service. (I received a paper receipt a few days later by post. Why not save yourselves quater of million pounds a year and send them by email unless requested by post ?)

The order was charged twice from RS…

The order was charged twice from RS onto my bank account even though the invoice is for one. I have phoned on three separate occasions and been told that this second charge will be pending and the bank will correct. This has not happened in over a week. I am still waiting for this to be resolved.

Clueless

order parts and told they would be delivered today 29th, 1 turned up so we went to RS as we were expecting 3 and was told they were ready to collect so we went down there only to find they weren't there but they could make them there and then even though they were on back order. completely had no idea what's was going on, worse service were had from them and we use them all the time but that might change after today's experience.

TE connector kit

The connector kit supplied came without contacts. There is no indication of this on the product description so we did not receive a complete kit as expected, although that may be correct a detailed list of components included would be helpful. There are no links to accessories or additional parts for the product. Hence this has cause problems and delays for our customer.

We still haven’t received the part we…

We still haven’t received the part we ordered. It was due for delivery on Friday and the tracking said it was 2 stops away at 12 noon. Only for the parcel to never be delivered with a notification in the evening to say the courier was unable to gain access to deliver which is absolutely ridiculous as we are open until 10pm. Extremely disappointed
