Failed to deliver
I booked the above order yesterday for a delivery between 7am and 10am as this battery is very very urgent. I called this morning to check that it was on the way as it is urgent!
I was told that the battery could not be delivered by DHL and had to be given to TNT and the delivery could be at anytime up until 6pm. I have been told that I will get a refund for the delivery fee, however, this does not help me at all as I need this battery now.
This is not good enough.
1, I was not called or informed of this.
2, I had a colleague come into work at 7am so someone would be here to receive the parcel if it arrived early.
3, You should have a notice on your website explaining that batteries can only be on a standard delivery.
Very bad service and left my customer without what they needed.

Excessive postage charges
Part was what I needed but £10 postage for an item that was the size of my thumb and is less than £3 was excessive. Sadly I was in need of the part so I had no choice

2 of the last 3 orders have arrived late
2 out of the last 3 orders have arrived late and then I’ve had to pay the carriage to return them. The only real reason people ever use/used RS Components was because you could order most things for next delivery.
That’s me done with them now and I have requested my account to be closed. I’ll use CPC Farnel instead from now on.

Invoicing
I find it very relatively difficult to be sent an invoice. I seem to have to go into every order to request a copy invoice. I expect to be e-mail invoiced automatically. I have now requested this.

Received wrong item. When trying to order the right item, was told it was out of stock. Although I was refunded the item cost £5.75 there was no refund or part of for delivery charge £9.50)

When finding the item it could not give quantities in stock.
When finding the item it could not give me the quantity in stock and whether it could satisfy my order. I could not place the order and I would have gone to another.
Eventually the quantities in stock appeared but the delay was not helpful.

RS did there bit, the right product and sent straight away - Great service.
DPD let you down, sent parcel to wrong address and signed my name as received. When we complained to DPD they said they would sort it. They didn't, instead they did the same with another parcel the next day. After a few hours phoning other companies on the same estate we located the parcel our self.

Postage costs have got very expensive
Postage costs have got very expensive. It used to be free on any order, then £30, then £40, now £50. And not only that, but if you are under and have to pay it's £8.50 which is very expensive.

I ordered components over the free delivery amount one item was lead solder and they removed it from my order because I am a private buyer trying to repair very old PCB’s with lead solder already on them.
Poor Service and over priced.
