You can't go wrong with Twinkly
I've had the pleasure of using Twinkly's support on two separate occasions. First, an incidental item was missing from a package (the adhesive dots for mounting 'Twinkly Dots') and the second time, a year or so later, when I found a power supply had failed.
In both cases, their support was STELLAR! Their reps are professional and empowered to do whatever is needed to resolve the customer's problems. I have nothing but high praise for this company and their priorities. More companies should be run like Twinkly!
Twinkly support works
The strings are great. Mapping is not that difficult.but make sturen you can scan as many leds at the same time for the best result. They improved the mapping so can continue a previous mapping.
I had problem with the app on my Phone. Camera stayed black. They send me a bèta app with which I needed to rgbw o some tests. A week later there was an update on the app and my camera worked again when mapping. Maybe a coincedance, but it works.

I had an issue with my system connecting to my new wifi. I sent a message and got a response the next morning. The email was very detailed and step by step with what system. Less than 10 minutes my system was connected to my wifi. Really appreciate it!

Very friendly and helpful customer support. We had purchased a light string in a store, but the power supply didn’t work. The store only wanted to take the product back, so we reached out to Twinkly directly. They kindly assisted us and provided a replacement power supply without any hassle. The lights are amazing! So easy to use and so fun to get creative with changing all the colors and patterns- my kids love them! Also the customer service team is unmatched- they are incredibly helpful and responsive!
Faulty Product, Endless Troubleshooting Requests, and Terrible Customer Service
I purchased Twinkly lights for $140 expecting premium quality, but instead I received a completely defective product and some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. The controller gets no power, no LEDs turn on, and the lights are totally unresponsive.
I followed every single troubleshooting step they requested. I performed the reset procedure multiple times, sent pictures, provided my receipt, and even tested the power adapter with a multimeter. I sent them clear proof that the adapter was outputting the correct voltage — meaning the issue is with the lights themselves. I even bought a second identical adapter out of my own pocket, and the lights still didn’t work.
After I provided this proof, Twinkly simply stopped responding. No update, no replacement options, no acknowledgement — nothing. I’ve been left completely ignored despite doing everything they asked for. There is no phone number to call, no real-time support, and no urgency to fix the situation.
For a $140 product, this is unacceptable. The lights arrived faulty, the troubleshooting process was unnecessarily repetitive, and after I finally proved where the issue was, customer service went silent. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Twinkly to anyone. The product quality and customer support are extremely disappointing.

I always recommend twinkly lights to all of my friends and family. They are the perfect addition for holiday decor due to their range of customization. I personally use them for Halloween and Christmas, but, they are so versatile that you can use them for any holiday.
Apart from being great lights, Twinkly's customer support is top tier! Because of the heavy outdoor use of my lights, I have had a couple of my power supplies fail over the years. Twinkly has always promptly responded to emails with troubleshooting and replacements when I needed them!

The process of buying a spare transformer
The process of buying a spare transformer / power source should be easier. Although the responses to my initial and emails were relatively quick it required far too many back and forth responses. Additional transformers / power source modules should be available online to purchase. My first email request was dated 11/19/25. This review is dated 11/27/25.
