2 for 1 Unbeatable Japan
Our tour director Rose and captain Takazaki were truly outstanding. Rose has a wealth of knowledge about Japan, and the way she shared information made the entire journey smooth and enjoyable. She managed our group of 36 with calmness, kindness, and professionalism, even under pressure. Captain Takazaki also did a fantastic job, ensuring our travels were safe and comfortable. We highly recommend both Rose and the captain without hesitation.
As a suggestion, if TripADeal could include an additional day dedicated to shopping — ideally located near a shopping mall — it would add even greater value to this already wonderful adventure.
Luxury Sri Lanka…
The luxury Sri Lanka trip was very interesting. Our guide Mr Dulip certainly made the trip very memorable. A couple of the hotels were in my opinion not luxury 5 star hotels. Safari adventure was memorable in the siting of the leopard as was the climb to the top of the rock. Food was amazing.
Perhaps Tripadeal could explain why we were charged $300 Aud for high season. Not one person I spoke to in Sri Lanka considered our dates HIGH SEASON 🧐
Ultimate Japan 17 day tour
As seasoned independent Travellers we were nervous about joining an organized tour. However, as soon as we met our tour guide, Mohini, we knew it was going to be great. She worked tirelessly to make sure that all 38 of us were looked after, and given the extreme August heat and the national holiday this was no mean feat. We had so many wonderful cultural and sightseeing experiences, including the bullet train, rural mountain train, overnight ferry, and historical postal towns.
Most hotels were of a good standard with plenty of variety of breakfast foods, and some had onsens for a lovely evening relax. We covered a lot of ground which we wouldn't have been able to do on our own in the time that we had.
Tripadeal not safe
The tour guides in Peru Oscar, Miguel and (Rene the owner) don't know what they are doing as my wife ended up in the ICU because they were giving us no advice to see a doctor and could not pick up any symptoms of altitude sickness across 3 days and she ended up with pulmonary edema liquid on the lungs if we did not consult another guide she would of died. Do not travel with Tripadeal or there travel partner in Peru Valencia Travel no safety or training.
Scammy review voucher practice
When you get back from a (great!) trip they offer you a $150 voucher to write a review.
When you complete it they send you a voucher that must be used in 1 month!
They KNOW you just got back from a trip, so won't be ready to do another - what a sneaky cheapskate trick!
Rocky Mounteer and Alaska
we have just come back from Rocky Mountains and Alaska. the trip was wonderful everything went well. hotels were good and service was great. I have done 4 trips with trip a deal and all were great. The only thing was we could not upgrade our flights after we booked them with trip a deal as they were basic flights, so upgrade before they are issued.

Trip a deal the worst
My gf and I purchased a trip a deal package to India. my gf had to cancel last week. I was still going. I went to do my seats on the plane my flight had been cancelled. I rang the emergency number no one there because I wasn’t traveling. I had people in India check the Dehli hotel it was poor. A consultant from trip a deal was supposed to call me the next work day. No phone back. My gf wasn’t going but the company kept her as the account holder so I didn’t receive emails.
I canceled today. I love India but from experience to go to India with a company like trip a deal is dangerous.
My brother passed away and we needed to…
My brother passed away and we needed to change our tickets to come home earlier under compassionate grounds.
They did not care at all and charged us a full fare to get home. Zero compassion. Use them at your own risk. If something goes wrong you will be on your own and the expense will be on your head. Even people missed their connecting flights through no fault of their own and trip a deal basically told them it’s their problem and they would have to find new flights at their own expense. They don’t care they just want your money. They are owned by Qantas. They only care about
Taking your money. It’s called greed. Last time I will ever fly or tour with them again. Virgin are a much better compassionate company. If this review helps one family I will be happy
Thailand 2 for 1 …
We had a great Thailand trip with trip a deal 2 for 1. Pong Sin was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable on the history of Thailand and also had good knowledge of Australia, we were a group of 18. From all states of Australia. Highly recommended. Was a busy trip and the free days were greatly appreciated.
Thanks trip a deal!

Stay away!
This is the biggest scam company in the country. They are absolutely useless and once payment is completed don't answer any emails. When you call them the answer is always that they will check and get back and never any solution. They are absolutely useless and the staff are clueless with no knowledge of anything related to travel. They asked if we wanted to upgrade to business class and then when we said no they booked a trip to Japan from Melbourne that goes via Hong Kong instead of direct. When we asked why, their response was that business class meant do we want to go direct or fly via transit. What a bunch of lunatics! Please stay away, the hassle that they create is not worth the price. They book hotels only last minute and all of them are far away from any attractions. Just incompetent and should be reported to the Consumer Affairs.
Advise Travelling To India with Extreme Caution
I booked a trip with TripADeal in January 2025, for a trip for two for the price of one to India for September 2025. My friend and I were extremely excited along with eight other people who had also booked with the same deal.
In February 2025 after Pakistan had bombed Kashmir and killed 21 tourists, the Australian embassy put out an extreme caution while travelling in India alert.
I rang TripADeal to ask them about this warning. Their response was that nothing had changed with our planned trip, and that it was only happening in the northern part of India, and all of The on Ground suppliers, we’re confident that nothing had changed.
At this time I asked if they could give me a 100% guarantee that these issues between Pakistan and India would not affect our trip. The reply I got was that they could not guarantee this.
At this time I requested a refund amount if myself and my friend were to cancel.
I gave them an option of refund amount in cash or in an alternative trip.
They informed me that all of the booking arrangements had been made, and they could only give me a partial refund which was approximately less than half of the overall cost.
At this stage we decided to continue with the booking as the situation in Pakistan and India with the cancellation of flights into northern India had resumed.
Smart Traveler at the end of July reinstated their status as extreme caution to be taken while travelling to India.
I contacted TripADeal as to what the status was as I was due for my first injection that week. Once again, they could not guarantee my safety, so then I requested a refund quote of only myself not including my companion.
All I received were survey requests, and emails confirming I wanted to cancel, no email with refund amount. These emails were also action now in their subject line.
I contacted them again, insisting that I wanted to cancel but needed to know first want the refund would be.
I received a confirmation of a refund amount to be issued to both myself and my friend, that would be issued once we decided to cancel.
I once again contacted TripADeal to confirm that it was only myself that I wanted to cancel, and once again I got a survey request.
As I had passed the due date of my first injection I was then needing my two other injections, which were required two weeks before travelling.
I emailed once again, for confirmation of the refund for just myself for the refund amount.
Once again, I received an email confirming the amount that I would get along with my friend, and I needed to action this quickly.
I returned the email and stated once again I was the only person that was cancelling. I also during all of these emails contacted them by phone to reiterate the emails that I was sending and receiving.
I have now decided to completely cancel my trip, as I have gone past the due date of my injections.
I received yesterday an email after speaking to the customer service agent that I still have not received the email. She informed me that an email was going out as soon as possible with only my refund quoted.
I then got an email this morning stating the confirmation of just myself being refunded, and an email would be sent to me with this amount as soon as possible.
I then spoke to a customer service agent once again today to find out what the refund was going to be, and I was told an email was going out to me tomorrow.
As you can imagine going past all due dates of injections with no firm confirmation of refund amount, and being completely messed about by many support agents, my confidence with this travel agency had completely been diminished.
I have never gone through a travel agency prior to this for any of my travels, which have been extensive multi country holidays, have never had any issues.
The only reason why I booked with TripADeal was the great offer for two of the price of one and eight people were also travelling and booked on the same tour.
I am now still waiting for confirmation of my refund amount for my part of the 2 for 1 offer. To say I am extremely disappointed, along with being anxious is beyond belief.
A company who only has a 1300 number and many no reply email accounts, is a company that is not 100% supportive of their products.
Never again would we do the 2 for 1…
Never again would we do the 2 for 1 Trip A Deal to China. 1st place we stayed in was absolutely filthy with mould everywhere. Some people complained only to be moved to a room just as bad. The tour guides were very hard to understand. Everything was rushed and all of the places we stayed in were way out of town so spent a lot of time travelling to and fro. You were pressured into doing the optional tours and if you didn’t do them you had to wait in the bus or find your own way back yo the hotel. You had to tip the tour guides $12 AUD each per day which is a bit on the expensive side. The whole trip was based around selling and most of us spent a lot more than we wanted to on the promise that the Chinese herbal was only available in China not to mention the tea. Some people who had medical conditions were desperate so paid ridiculous prices for these so called cures. Then to really top off our trip they changed our flights at the last minute and we were not happy so we tried to
Phone Cathy Pacific to change our flight only to be told that Trip A Deal had blocked any changes. When we questioned Trip A Deal they told us that the flights we were booked on had been cancelled however we enquired ourselves only to find that this was not the case so instead of a 10 hour flight back to Brisbane it took us 24 hours travelling time and we arrived in Brisbane too late to drive home as some of us lived 4 or 5 hours away from Brisbane so had to find accommodation overnight in Brisbane as we were just too tired to drive home. So we went from China to Melbourne to late Brisbane and it took 24 hours. The majority of us complained to Trip A Deal about it and guess what they don’t care. The fact that those people from Brisbane were charged an extra $200 to fly out from Brisbane is terrible. We left from Brisbane and had a direct flight to China which took less than 9 hours so why did it take 24 hours travelling time to get back to Brisbane. Given this experience and the response from Trip A Deal we are now looking at their opposition such as Aldi and Holiday Max. When you added up the extras on top of the 2 for 1 deal it’s really not worth it. Have put this down to experience. I have also tried to take our complaints higher but there is nowhere else to send our complaint to. Do your homework before going on this deal
If I could give TripADeal 0 stars I…
If I could give TripADeal 0 stars I would. I am unable to travel due to medical reasons and they have advised it will cost over $3000 to replace a name on the flights for a 12 day trip. Instead of simply changing the name with the airline for a minimal fee they are purchasing an entire new ticket for the person taking my place without even refunding my ticket. I have contacted the airline LATAM who have advised that a simple name change is possible without buying a new ticket however TripADeal won't do this and are insisting on the $3000 plus dollars. They are an absolute nightmare (for my first trip with them) and even the call centre person would not put me through to a supervisor to discuss and inquire why they would not initiate a name change with the airline. Avoid at all costs.
Borneo was so disappointing
Borneo was so disappointing. We were rushed at the orangutans. Feeding time was 10am and we had to be back at the main centre by 10.30am. Hardly enough time to spend watching them. Then in kinabantang river our group was split into 2. Why arrange a tour for 30 people without being able to accommodate 30 people in the same lodge. If the lodges were close to each other it may not have been so bad. But one lodge was in completely different area of the kinbatanagan River that had better wildlife viewing. I got stuck in the group in an area only known for bird watching. How is that fair? Did we not pay for the same experience? We also got a different tour guide for the 2 days. He was 20 minutes late to our morning cruise and was then incredibly unenthusiastic. I will never do a tour with 30 people ever again. Oh and the reason trip a deal is so cheap is because the accommodation is 1 star. Why bother travelling if it's going to be a subpar experience. Shame on me for thinking this trip would be good.

Excellent tour
We have done two tours now with Trip a Deal and both have been excellent.
This last tour was a Ancient Treasures of China and Mongolia. China was interesting, seeing the Terracotta Warriors and visiting the Great Wall. We did visit a Tea Plantation and Silk place but they were mostly a hard sell and very pricey. The best part of the tour was the Mongolian part. The tour leaders were fantastic, informative, helpful and fun. The culture, history and stunning scenery were excellent. Wish we had had more time in Mongolia.

Trip A Deal Ultimate Sri Lankan Tourument my experience with…
I wish to document my experience with Tripadeal Ultimate Sri Lankan Tour departing May 14, 2025.
There are daily flights from Melbourne to Colombo.
From Sydney, there are direct flights four days a week. The departure should and could have been arranged to use direct flights from both capital cities to save the longer travel time to journey via KL. Alternatively, it would have been good practice to advise the Sydney travellers to go to Colombo day earlier as an alternative at their own expense.
Day 1. We arrived in Columbo after midnight and then drove for almost an hour and a half to our hotel.
Day 2. After a few hours respite, we went to the fish market and thereafter a long bus drive to our accommodation at Anuradhapura. It would have been better to give us some time to get over the plane journey.
We spent two nights in Anuradhapura. When we arrived, we saw the sights as an optional extra. They should have been factored in as compulsory part of the tour.
Day 3. A leisure day. The only activity was an afternoon safari to a National Park. We went in the afternoon on a very hot day. It was predictable that we saw no animals at all. They invariably rest from the heat of the sun in the afternoon. This trip was ill conceived and a waste of time.
Day 4. We drove north to Jaffna. There are three sights to see in Jaffna, the Portuguese port, the temple and the library. All of these could be visited in half a day, but we spent three nights in Jaffna with nothing at all to do. This was unnecessary and wasteful.
Day 7. (8), We travelled to Trincomalee. We were supposed to stay at Nilaveli Beach Resort, or similar. Well, we were accommodated at Pigeon Resort which was not at all similar. A check of comparative Google reviews would confirm that. The resort was old, run down and decrepit. It was unacceptable. Once more we were isolated from anywhere, we could visit as tourists and spent two nights wasting precious time.
Day 9 (10) Sigiriya . Very interesting, except once again the safari was in the heat of the afternoon when all the animals are resting and not visible. We did see elephants, but they were on the road after we left the park and were travelling back to the bus.
Day 11-13 All acceptable and interesting.
Day 14. We wasted the day because the early train had not been booked. The tour was paid for many months before departure and the early train should have been secured.
Day 15 .The Yalea National Park was charged as an optional extra. We saw many animals including bear and leopard. This tour should have been factored in as included and charged for. It was a shame that some travellers missed out on the experience when they had the fruitless other safaris included.
Day 16 (17) Galle/Kosgoda. Galle is one of the Sri Lankan Highlights. We had only half a day there. We stayed at a nice hotel, but it was an hour and a half from Galle. Those that wanted to spend more time in Galle, or who paid for the terrific cooking class faced a three hour return bus journey on Day 17. Accommodation should have been in Galle with several suitable hotels available (Radisson Blue or Galle Fort). A better arrangement would have been to stay in Galle for the cooking on day 17 and then transfer to transfer to the Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle beach for the boat ride and overnight.
Day 18 (19) Bentota. Day 19 was another wasted beachside day on an island hotel. Those that used the day to take a private trip to Columbo and back enjoyed the time.
Day 20. Colombo. There was insufficient time to visit the Colombo Museum, the Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo in one day. A visit to the Red Mosque, which we did was very worthwhile.
Day 21. All departures were after midnight. TripAdvisor deal should have planned sightseeing in Colombo for that day.
General Comments:
I feel that the itinerary was poorly planned. One does not take such a trip to spend so many “free “days. Either fill the time or shorten the trips and make it cheaper.
There was no provision at all for lunches or lunch stops. This was a major issue and should have been addressed. Either provide a lunch when on the bus, or arrange to stop at places where food can be purchased for lunch.
I was personally responsible for seven pax on this trip. I felt embarrassed by the final product we experienced. It was so deficient in comparison with my previous trips to Egypt, Morocco and Borneo.
I previously was an avid and enthusiastic ambassador for Trip A Deal. I am not so enthusiastic now.
I recently went on the China discovery
I recently went on the China discovery. I loved it all! The great price ✔️ great hotels✔️great tour (Thankyou Jason Hu and Celery was incredibly knowledgeable but also went above and beyond when we needed her)✔️ I certainly would recommend this tour.

We did the magnificent Europe trip
We did the magnificent Europe trip. It was really rushed 15mins at the Eiffel Tower. Hotels were far away from the centre of the city. The tour guide needs to find a different job. I felt I was with a cranky school principal. The trip was cut shot from the same trip the year before.
Never again TripADeal.
🚫 Reckless TripADeal Bus Driver
🚫 Reckless TripADeal Bus Driver – 9 July 2025, 13:55 – R300 Off-Ramp, Cape Town 🚫
As someone who works in the tourism industry, I was absolutely horrified by what I witnessed today. A TripADeal-branded tour bus was driving in a shockingly dangerous manner on the N2 towards Cape Town on Wednesday, 9 July at 1:55 PM, just before the R300 off-ramp from Somerset West.
Over the course of around 10–15 minutes, I personally saw the driver cutting off multiple vehicles, braking at the very last second, swerving in and out of lanes, and speeding way over the legal limit for a vehicle of that size. He was also driving in the fast lane, where buses are not even allowed. The driving was completely uncontrolled and erratic.
This wasn’t just reckless — it was outright dangerous, and the driver almost caused multiple accidents right in front of us. It’s a miracle no one got hurt. He wasn’t just putting the passengers on board at risk — he was also endangering the lives of every driver and family on the road around him, including mine.
As someone who works in tourism, this kind of behavior makes me absolutely furious. We work so hard to promote safety, trust, and professionalism in this industry — but this type of conduct undermines everything we stand for and tarnishes South Africa’s reputation as a travel destination.
I took a photo of the vehicle and urge TripADeal to take this seriously and investigate. This is far more than a complaint — it’s a warning. If nothing is done, it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt, or worse.
Until then, I will never recommend TripADeal to anyone. This level of risk and recklessness has no place on our roads.

Trip a deal have been completely awful…
Trip a deal have been completely awful to deal with. Not only do they book tours that aren't definite departure. They recently cancelled a trip i paid for back early this year .Im still waiting on a full refund weeks later. Ive had every excuse under the sun . Their refund policy is very clear but they haven't refunded me yet. Do yourself a favour. Do not book anything with them.
