UPDATED: Trendhim reached out to offer to refund the duty charges. Good on them.
I ordered a men’s laptop bag for my husband‘s birthday which was close to $400 CAD. The website has a .ca URL and advertises free shipping over $75CAD.
I am an informed purchaser and try to avoid ordering merchandise from foreign countries because I know duties and import taxes can be quite high when shipping to Canada.
Nowhere on the website did I see any mention of country of origin for shipping and was misled by the.ca in the URL. Upon receiving my item, I was socked with a $97 duty and import tax and fees Invoice.
buyer beware and if you live in Canada, please know that you will be charged duty and import taxes!

Ordered a watch for grad gift and didn’t realize where it was being shipped from. Still came extremely fast, well before the 10 to 15 business days. Watch was well worth it. Nice weight and is a great conversation piece.
