Great customer service. We’ve been using Travel Guard for all of our travels for many, many years. We travel 6-7 times a year.

Staff answer the phone right away, they are pleasant and explain things well and there's a choice of three different plans.

it was terrible! too complicated to register and then screen would freeze. Took multi people and many many times to complete. Terrible

I am very disappointed with Travel Guard's claims service. While purchasing the policy was quick and easy, the claims process has been extremely frustrating. It has been over two months since I submitted my claim, along with all required notarized documents.

I have sent the documents three separate times by email and through the claims portal, yet I was repeatedly told they were not received. The lack of communication and long response times have caused unnecessary delays in receiving my reimbursement.

My experience with Travel Guard's claims handling has been very poor and below expectations. Honestly don't waste your money and valuable time with Travel Guard insurances.

I had to cancel my trip and turn in a claim. I have used Travelguard for several trips, but this was the first time I have had to submit a claim. I was nervous since I read some reviews from others that never got reimbursed or months went by with no communication. My claim was for over $28,000 so that was scary to think I'd be out that much money. I followed the process and provided the evidence needed to support the claim. From beginning to end, the process took exactly 1 month. I was reimbursed the full amount of my claim. The insurance was worth every penny. My suggestion is to improve communication while the claim is in process. The statuses on the claim check web page do not consistently update. And there was no direct contact info given to me for my claims adjuster like the email said when the claim was received. So that presented a little fear that I'd be like one of those other bad reviews. But everything turned out great. The adjuster called me and told me the claim was processed and just needed sign off from her manager. I received the check today and my stress is gone :)

Refund denied for cancelation within time allotted. Basically theft. Will never use this insurance again.

Travel Guard is a scam, they will not pay legitimate claims, they will find garbage technicalities to deny your claim. Do not buy Travel Guard, it is a waste of money, I am out thousands of dollars after paying top dollar for a policy. They farm out their call center to people that barely speak english and farm out claims to a 3rd party (not even travel guard) who will find any reason to deny your claim.

Flight cancelled by airline, cancelled our booking within minutes of booking it as a result. Travel Guard refused to reimburse. Just disgusting and immoral. Beware of these crooks!

flight got cancelled so I had to cancel my hotel reservation. I got travel guard for these types of situation since the hotel reservation was non-refundable and I got travel guard for the hotel reservation. Travel Guard denied my claim because of Section 3 (I didn't have a rush to go to hospital, someone didn't die, I didn't have to go to military duty, etc.... stuff that doesn't even occur for most common travelers) stating I didn't qualify. I asked why they didn't look at Section 4 (Travel Cancellation). I'm going through my credit card company now to fight the charge because Travel Guard is a complete waste of time.

Would NOT recommend Travel Guard insurance through Expedia as it is completely / utterly useless unless someone in your family dies right before your vacation starts.

It was very helpful and easy to do and complete. I feel that I have taken some precautions regarding my upcoming trip, as your company provides good service.

I not happy with your service at all. I had a wedding reception to go to and the reception was cancelled due to the groom ending up in hospital and having to have major surgery. I had to cancel my flights. I filled out the doctor’s name and all of the details, but asking for a patients medical records from the doctor is going beyond invasion of privacy during a very difficult time for my family. I bought this insurance for peace of mind. I got anything but peace of mind. I was required to cancel my airline ticket in order to start my claim. Then to find out the kind of invasive information required to start my claim was over the top out of line. I would have kept my ticket and rebooked it for another time if I had known this before starting my claim. I will never buy cancellation insurance again!

I liked the coverage but filling in the form required multiple tries.
