Excellent Service
I have always used Travelex Insurance for my international trips because of their high ratings, but this is the first time I needed to use them. My experience with Travelex was excellent. Every time I called the people answering the phones were compassionate and helpful. They also checked up on me later to make sure I was doing well. The doctors at Travelex were very helpful in communicating with the doctors treating me. When I missed my flight home due to being in the hospital, Travelex made sure I got home when I was discharged with the medical support I needed to fly safely.

I dislike that your company never asked who is the beneficiary. It made the beneficiary the estate. That's not what I wanted.

To clarify, when a policy is purchased, the default beneficiary used is “estate” - it is an insurance regulation/law that we require validation of the policy owner to submit the beneficiary in writing (via email) to Travelex at customersolutions@travelexinsurance.com. We are unable to accept a specific beneficiary name over the phone or online.

Weak coverage description
The legal-ese description is absolutely not helpful. All I want to know is: will you help me if things go awry on my trip? What if I get sick? What if my purse (cell, wallet) is stolen? What if my hotel burns down? Will you help me?

Terrible - do not purchase!!
Terrible! Do not purchase this insurance if you are wanting to be insured in cases where the airline causes a delay/trip interruption that ruins your travel plans! I submitted my claim, and they denied me stating that the only thing they cover under trip interruption is a medical issue that you can prove with documentation.
