If I could give 0 stars, I would. Don't use TransferGo
I do not recommend using TransferGo. Based on my experience, if something goes wrong with your transfer, you may be left without your money and without a resolution.
In December 2025, I made an international payment through TransferGo. The payment was reversed and returned.
The returned funds never reached me.
I contacted TransferGo immediately and was repeatedly told that it had not received the returned funds from its partner bank. Despite months of enquiries, there was no explanation as to where the money had gone and no resolution.
After waiting several months, I had no choice but to resend the payment through a different platform. I made a formal complaint to TransferGo and then to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Seven months after the original payment was made, the Ombudsman decided not to require TransferGo to refund me or take any further action.
I was a reasonable customer, waited for updates, made a formal complaint and escalated to the Financial Ombudsman. But the result is that seven months later, my money has still not been returned, and no one can tell me where it is.
The money is effectively gone, and there is still no resolution.
I stopped using TransferGo since this issue happened. The only reason I have kept my account open is in the unlikely event that the money is ever located.
My advice: do not use TransferGo.
