My dog wears his tracker and is completely unaware of it. It is something that you forget about until the dreaded happens. Suddenly the dog is hunting a squirrel or frightened away from you and is out of sight and Hearing. The Tractive tracker is a complete lifesaver as it accurately finds the dog and tells you the direction they are going. It has light and sound as well as an accurate map. I would never be without it. I’ve recently bought the new extra large one that’s battery life is even longer. My son recently had a rescue dog and it escaped and was only found again because of its tracker. There are endless tales I could say about how important the tracker has been to us but suffice it to say that it is the essential piece of kit. Thank you Tractive for being reliable, affordable and helpful for all enquiries.

The charging port cover had come off our dog's tracker. After contacting Tractive Support, they dispatched a pack of spares which arrived a few days later, free of charge.

Tractive provides a service that is invaluable.

We had a situation where we left our golden retriever with a friend in the back yard. He jumped the fence and disappeared into the woods. We had 24 hours of anxiety as we searched for him. Luckily we got a call the next morning that he had turned up on someone's porch.

In a clear case of locking the barn door after the horse gets away, we purchased a tracker. I use it often when walking in the woods if he runs ahead and gets out of sight.

True piece of mind. You are well advised to make the purchase.

We have a large country property that is not easy to fully secure. Alfie, the Border Collie likes to wander off and visit his mates occasionally. The tracker helps us find him and get him home for his dinner 😀

The he customer service team sorted my problem out which was done with little disruption.I was then able to use the tracker that worked fine

Brilliant. I’ve used PitPat for the last few years and quite happy with it until the tracker died. I decided to try tractive instead.. it’s a total game changer.. the speed of the gps is so much quicker. The maps and stats are so much clearer to use too. Love the light and the sound option on the tracker too. Very happy!

Szymon was magnificent in helping me and provided me with a simple and rapid solution to my problem. Whilst often times although a quick fix is present it is not always provided and I was pleasantly surprised to be afforded a painless resolution to my issue. Thank you Szymon!

I needed to use Tractive a couple of days ago to find my lost cat. The experience, and what came after it, has been pretty dreadful.

In the app's history section it kept flipping between showing his location in the history as a nearby one and somewhere sixty miles away, where we'd been weeks ago.

Tractive has since told me this is because of the power saving zone feature, which assumes your wifi router stays in one place. Ours doesn't as we live on a boat. They need to make clearer in their instructions / marketing that power saving zones don't work reliably if your wifi moves around.

Eventually I found my cat, distressed and surprisingly far from home. Tractive had been an active hindrance and it turned out he'd lost his collar some distance away.

Naturally I'd been looking in the last known (local) position of the collar. I'd enabled the light and alarm feature but to no avail. The alarm was so quiet I couldn't hear it, even from what later turned out to be two feet away on the other side of a hedge.

If I'd at least been able to find the collar I'd have known the cat wasn't wearing it, looked in more appropriate places and found the poor guy much faster.

I contacted Tractive support and the experience went from bad to worse.

Tractive told me I have to switch off the power saving zone. The tracker now has a battery life of approx 1 day, half of the 2 they advertise and pretty useless if you're looking for a lost cat at the end of the day, which most people will be! Activate live tracking when it's down to 20% and that battery will run out pretty much immediately.

I pointed out to the support team that 1 day battery life is drastically less than Tractive advertises, and suggested that as I've paid for a care package it issue the newer version of the collar, with its better battery, as a replacement.

Tractive refused to do so - saying it would only send out an identical one, which presumably will have the same poor battery life.

We went round in circles for a while. Each time they waited another day to reply, and the response was from a different person. They seemed to think I was making a warranty claim rather than using the care package I'd paid for, even when I pointed this out. They ignored the point I'd made about the battery being unfit for purpose now I'd followed their advice and removed the power saving zone. They didn't even offer to let me pay the difference for the new, better tracker - just flatly asserted I had to pay the full price for a new tracker on top of the £206 I'd already given them!!!

While this unfolded I've been stuck in a confined space with a cat who's going nuts because he's grounded without a tracker.

I don't feel Tractive has handled this well. They haven't taken the problem seriously, the product certainly isn't working as advertised and while they drag it out, the cat and I are having a rotten time.

I have just moved to Tractive from another tracker which I found to be unable to find our dog too often even in wide open spaces. I’ve been impressed with Tractive so far for its relatively quick response to live search, easy to read displays and for the health insights. We live in the forest which is by no means the easiest place for GPS or networks to function but Tractive seems to pick up fairly quickly given a window of opportunity. Yet to be put to serious test and I can’t comment on customer service but to date I’m pleased with our decision to move to Tractive.

Peace of kind that my dog is safe and I like the fact you can track your dogs health and fitness levels

I was very pleased with the service. My Tractive was broken and they sent me newer one for free without any issue.

My dog dissapeared for a week and we as a family were so stressed. I placed an order for the traker even before we found our beloved dog and we are loving it.

I never thought I would need such a device before. The GPS is not the main part that is important to me, but the many extra functions. I recommend it to everyone because it is not just a device. Not only can you track the dog's movements, but it also motivates you to exercise together.
