Bought 3 cars from Toyota spanning over 6 years using their pcp. However i decided to buy the 3rd car as i got fed of monthly payments and changing vehicles so often. Requested them to extend my term... See more

Awful company....long wait times on the phone (If answered at all), promised emails don't arrive,
Avoid like the plague
Zero stars if i could
Zero stars if i could. Toyota Financial Services are shockingly bad, a simple thing like updating bank details is an enormous task for them and takes weeks and weeks of emails back and forth. I will never lease another Toyota from them when my lease is up in 2 years.Avoid!
They do not care about you
I attempted to pay off my auto loan early but made a mistake and didn't include payment for twelve dollars of interest that hadn't been posted to the account yet. Thinking the loan was paid I moved on with my life. Toyota only attempted to contact me via mail to the wrong address. I noticed I owed them money when I saw my credit score plunge 3 months later. I attempted to contact them by phone multiple times but was met with indifference. They said take it up with the credit bureaus.
Unresponsive and Unresolved — Still Waiting for My Refund
I recently upgraded my Toyota Yaris to a C-HR at FRF Toyota Swansea.
As I didn’t have my V5C logbook at the time, I was told I had to pay a £250 deposit until I provided one. Fair enough.
After contacting the DVLA, I was told I was no longer the owner and that FRF Swansea, as the current owner, must apply for the V5C themselves. I passed this information to the dealership immediately, even attaching a DVLA letter confirming it.
Since then, I have sent multiple emails over several weeks, called the dealership, and even spoke to other staff members. My emails to Stephen (and later Rob) have gone unanswered, and my request for a refund has been completely ignored.
This lack of communication and failure to resolve a simple matter is very disappointing. I expected far better customer service from a Toyota dealership.
Terrible Customer relations
I have purchased 4 vehicles through Toyota, I am sad to say I had to do a voluntary repo because I can no longer work and am on Social Security, long story short I was advised a week prior if I couldn't find a buyer for the vehicle to turn it into the Dealership. I called to tell Toyota what Dealership I turned the keys in to, someone named Abigail G told me I could not do that!! I needed to go get the vehicle and figure it out!! She was just hateful, I tried to explain I spoke to the Repo Dept the Friday before. She refused to transfer me to that Dept to get the help I needed, She argued with me like I was an idiot. Mind you I am a retired Nurse and I have purchased 4 vehicles prior to this mess I am in. I reached out to the Dealership I left the vehicle at, no response. I reached out to the Dealership I bought the truck from, no response. No one wants to help when your down. I am behind 1 payment only I have tried to do my due diligence only to be treated like a nobody, of course at 69 years old you get used to being treated like that. So before you put your trust in any Company for years my advice DONT do it. They could care less about the Human factor anymore it all about money. Any advice is welcomed.
Credit damage despite loyalty and clean history
I have been a loyal Toyota Finance customer for over 6 years with a perfect payment history — not a single missed or late payment. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been deeply disappointing and financially damaging.
Due to a claim placed by Toyota Insurance (not by me), I was forced to return my vehicle. I did not initiate this claim, yet it impacted my insurance policy, and as a result, I returned the vehicle under a voluntary agreement. Despite this, Toyota Finance reported my account as delinquent to credit agencies — even after offering me a payment arrangement for the remaining balance.
This is unfair and potentially unlawful under several consumer protection standards, including:
🔹 The Consumer Credit Act 1974 (UK) / Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA – USA): These laws require accurate and fair reporting of consumer credit behavior. Reporting a delinquency while simultaneously offering a payment plan and knowing the customer has not defaulted in good faith may constitute unfair or inaccurate reporting.
🔹 The Principles of Treating Customers Fairly (FCA – UK): Lenders must act in the best interest of the customer and treat them with fairness, particularly those in vulnerable or unexpected situations.
As a result of this negative mark on my credit file, I have been declined finance by another vehicle dealer, even though the situation was not due to financial irresponsibility but rather an insurance-related technicality entirely out of my control. This damage is not only unjust — it is long-lasting.
I am extremely disappointed that Toyota Finance, despite my long-standing, spotless history, chose to report my account in a way that severely impacts my ability to access credit. I am now pursuing options to escalate this through:
A formal complaint to Toyota Finance
Raising a dispute with the credit reference agencies
Submitting a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (UK) or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (USA)
Seeking legal advice for defamation of credit
Loyal customers deserve better — especially those who have upheld every part of their agreement. I urge Toyota Finance to reconsider their reporting decision and correct this unjust entry on my credit file.
Toyota Financial Services is the worst!
Great cars but unfortunately their financial services suck! Getting to a human takes days and then they are no help. They will cash your check and then say you did not make the payment even though you have the cashed check to prove it but they do not accept that as proof.
Emails not answered- nothing received not confident with call centre.

One of the worst customer service from this company. Finance is total rip off. People dealing with you are totally unprofessional.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. On hold for a very long time, then passed THREE TIMES to different departments. On one transfer I got cut off so had to go through the whole process again. Was told someone would call me to collect my car the same day, had no call, so now car isnt taxed and just sat on my drive and I'm gonig to have to call again. Noone knows what they are doing here.
Lack of communication skills. Awful staff.
Hassan at customer acquisitions team is a very rude man who hanged up the phone huffing and puffing at me for no reason. Terrible communication skills and lack of empathy.
Terrible service
Terrible service. Takes forever to get through on the phone and they don’t respond to email messages. I had expected better from Lexus although maybe this experience is because all finance is handled through Toyota. Requested a final settlement quote which was sent though with a 4 week validity. Unfortunately they charge interest up until that date even if the loan is settled ahead of that. The agent told me it was against the law(!) to refund the interest due if settled earlier than 28 days.
Toyota Minor Damage Insurance Failure
on 17th May 2025, I made an online claim for some minor dents to be repaired under my insurance policy. I did not hear from Toyota Insurethat so on 30th May I telephoned them, explained the situation and was advised that my claim had been received by Toyota, everything was in order but they apologised for the delay citing that they were very busy and it would be dealt with in 1/2 days. No response by 5th June so I sent an email to their published email address. Their published email address was invalid. When I phoned them on 5th June, all I got was a thousand questions and the run around but no progress. Not good
terrible customer service
terrible customer service, ignores emails, impossible to phone, and their chatbot provides nothing more than the website.
Trying to get answers by phone
Tried numerous times both on 2nd and 3 rd June to make final payment on agreement. On hold each phone call(4) for at least Thirty minutes on 2nd June 3rdJune gave up after third call left on hold for fifty seven minutes . Call back would be a useful tool for these waits or more staff.Being transferred from one department to the other on hold all time between connections. Very bad customer service service.if could give minus stars would
Don't sell my data!
I bought a Toyota vehicle from Bryan-College Station, TX. A week after that, I kept getting tons of junk mail and spam calls about extended warranty with my full name, address, phone number, make, model, year and specifications of the exact vehicle I bought. How would the scammers know all this if not these selfish managers sell my data?
Appalling Customer Service
Appalling Customer Service. Hounded by letter when my finance agreement was about to end despite having communicated with Toyota via their email system. Phoning the Customer Service number on receiving the fourth letter I received was impossible - gave up after being left on hold for twenty minutes plus on two occasions. Its clear that the departments within TFS do not communicate with each other. Thank God my agreement has ended with this amateur outfit.
I spent a day and a half trying to pay…
I spent a day and a half trying to pay the balance of my PCP. The Toyota Finance system was unable to take my payment (despite my bank being 100% up for it) and when I tried to contact them to find out how to progress, all I got was computer-generated “we can’t help” messages. Rubbish.
Im warning you not go buy from this…
Im warning you not go buy from this company they screwed on me, I was paying my monthly payments as agreed and all the sudden they said I was late and made me do 3 to 4 payments per 4 months in a row, now that my contract is to come to end, they said that i was making payments towards the principle not the payments and that that acrued me interest which are big lies, and added $779.00 just because of that, in addition to that they said that my total to pay with late fees where 1,362.36 when I check the app it says 1,335.94 they are stealing me money for the past year. I will try to get legal advise on this as they are easily stealing my money and collecting fees out of nowhere from me. do not go there their customer service is horrible!
Toyota Financial sends text messages…
Toyota Financial sends text messages about our account to someone else. I spent 30 minutes trying to explain, but no one has any common sense. Be sure the dealer sends all the right info because you will play hell trying to correct it. I hope rates fall and I can refi someplace else. These people are ridiculous.
