Greatest Haircut and Styling by Ervis
Greatest Haircut and Styling by Ervis! Friendly Salon Atmosphere!:)
Always a lovely time and result.
Been going here since end of Covid and it's wonderful. Ben is a master craftsman at work and creates very flattering hair. I especially appreciate that he tells me if what I think I want will undoubtedly look bad on me. Kindly.
Very friendly place with lovely coffee too. They always make you feel welcome and relaxed even though they are busy.
Great staff
Great staff, perfect styling, and head massage. They made my day with the special stencil they put on top of my coffee

Disgusting and rude customer service at…
Disgusting and rude customer service at Sydney CBD salon. Was booked with the head stylist who then went on holiday so they moved me to another stylist. He then called in sick and they canceled my appointment a day before. I have been to many Toni and Guy’s this is by far the worst. Salon is shoddy at best and not worth the money. Look elsewhere where people.
My balayage appt got cancelled with 3…
My balayage appt (Eastbourne branch) got cancelled with 3 weeks notice and 2 weeks before my wedding day. I made it very clear that I don’t live in the area and had already taken time off work and booked train tickets for the appt, so couldn’t rearrange - it still got cancelled anyway. "We did contact you as soon as we were aware of the change, with three weeks’ notice, and we hope this has given you time to consider alternative arrangements” - funnily enough I was told on the phone a couple days before that if there is a sick day they try and find cover, so I am not sure why they wouldn’t do the same for a staff absence training day - with three weeks notice. I was offered a free treatment at the same salon for a future visit, but I obviously I won’t be travelling back there. For a hairdresser that charges premium prices for a premium service, this is anything but.

Learning experience
I began my training at Toni & Guy Stockholm in 2022 with high hopes, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. I was promised the opportunity to grow and develop as a hairstylist, but instead, I was mostly used as an assistant without receiving the proper training or support I had been told I would get. The work environment was discouraging, and I rarely received feedback — making it nearly impossible to improve or stay motivated.
After two and a half years of dedication, I made the difficult decision to leave because it was clear I wasn’t progressing. Just two months later, the salon shut down due to financial issues — confirming what I had already sensed: they had no real intention of investing in my future. Looking back, I believe they knew the salon was closing long before it happened, but they kept that information from me to continue using my labor. They didn’t give me a chance to plan ahead or seek other opportunities. That silence was not only unfair — it was deeply disrespectful.
Even after I left, I contacted the Toni & Guy head office in the UK to share what happened and express my concerns. They completely ignored my message. No response. No acknowledgment. That silence spoke volumes — it showed me once again how little the company values its trainees and staff. It made me feel like I was completely disposable.
Now, after giving years of my time and energy, I’m left in a difficult position: I didn’t receive the education I was promised and still lack the qualifications I need to fully pursue a hairstyling career. I’m deeply disappointed, but I’m also determined to speak up so that others don’t go through the same thing.
To anyone considering starting their education at Toni & Guy: please think twice. Be cautious. Ask detailed questions during your interview — about training structure, feedback, support, and long-term opportunities. Don’t be fooled by their polished image or charming marketing promises. What sounds appealing at first can turn out to be something very different behind the scenes.
I hope future trainees are treated with the honesty, guidance, and respect that I never received — and that Toni & Guy takes real responsibility for how it treats the people who invest their time and dreams into this brand.
Everyone was so lovely and welcoming
Everyone was so lovely and welcoming. Ash, who cut my hair, was fantastic! It was my second haircut in 3 years and first since coming out as a trans woman so I was nervous, especially as I had my graduation that day. But I couldn’t have been happier with all of it. I live in London now but plan on going back to Leeds to have Ash cut my hair again.
Thank you so much x
Went to Toni & Guy Colchester recently
Went to Toni & Guy Colchester recently, I have been a customer for years & years.. expensive keratin treatments, balayage, hair colour, haircuts - you name it.
Unfortunately the salon's standards have dropped... . The toner treatment was rushed (for the price point of £20 seemed like a total waste of money)... head massage max 5 sec (half arsed), two members of staff pulling my head to opposite directions while drying my hair (what was the rush they never said or asked my permission for this..). One of them kept scratching my neck unapologetically, same employee finished off the blow dry (half arsed, but I was charged £10 for it)...
Came out the salon with frizzy/wet hair, wondering what in God's name was that all about...
I don't want to be contacted with apologies, I would like you to have a responsible manager on site because the place seems like a playground run by either kids or high on their horse senior stylists and the overall experience does not justify the high price point anymore..
Consistently good experiences
An excellent hairdresser who knows my hair and what I want. Having the same colourist every time I go makes a huge difference.

The hairdresser hacked away at my hair…
The hairdresser hacked away at my hair completely ignoring my instructions. When I pointed this out she was very rude. In a review elsewhere the salon suggested they made every effort to remedy the situation. This is simply not true. It wasn’t made clear or me how a more senior stylist should make my hair longer after the hacking. No effort was made to rectify.

Unprofessional and upsetting – mocking email and no accountability following botched haircut
This was one of the most distressing salon experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was I treated dismissively during the appointment, but I was also accidentally sent an internal email afterwards in which staff appeared to be laughing or mocking me. This was incredibly hurtful and unprofessional — and made it very clear that client wellbeing was never a priority.
When I raised this and the overall experience with Toni & Guy’s client care and global teams, I received either cold, dismissive replies or no meaningful response at all. There was no proper apology, no accountability, and no acknowledgment of the emotional impact this caused. The entire approach felt performative and insincere — focused more on protecting the brand than addressing serious concerns.
Toni & Guy’s marketing suggests a premium, client-focused experience — but my reality was the opposite. I left feeling shaken, humiliated, and deeply let down. The behaviour I experienced was not just unprofessional, it was personally damaging.
I would not return and would strongly caution others, to look elsewhere. A brand that allows this kind of behaviour to go unchallenged needs to seriously review its culture, staff training, and complaint handling.
