exercise extreme caution and advise researching the company before taking on a subscription.

Just wanted to suggest everyone file a complaint against thunderdrive.io with the FTC and IC3.GOV. Who knows, if enough people complain maybe they'll do something about it.
Seems like a great scam for bad actors: sell "lifetime" storage for $59 then rent storage short term. Let people upload files, give a few good reviews, then stop paying the rent and everyone loses their data while the scammer absconds with the money!

I signed up years ago but had my doubts about the service as the price was 'too good to be true'.
I uploaded a bunch of files so I could access them anywhere but I always kept local copies. I somehow knew the day would come when it would turn out to be a scam. Can no longer log into the site, seems to have gone down some months ago.

I bought into ThunderDrive.io's 4TB Lifetime offer on August 22, 2019. They appeared to be a new startup and had great reviews from some of the leading Tech Mags. The service worked for a while, even though it was slow uploading/downloading, then overnight, all my files vanished. Customer Support is non-existent! I would highly recommend NOT purchasing any service offered by this company. READ ALL THE REVIEWS, and you will understand what I'm talking about. They can keep my money. I just want my irreplaceable pics and docs back.

Is there a law firm handling a class action lawsuit? Are there any lawyers who also lost all their files.?

It is a scam, dodgy and all data uploaded are gone.

I have lost rare files I entrusted this cloud service.

Let me know if any law suit entities can assist. Happy to proceed all the way to highest court with these scammers.

The update from Roman A. Masaryk that ThunderDrive is completely down is true for me as well. app.thunderdrive.io no longer responds.

At least prior to this I could see my files (but not download).

All the site ownership info is redacted for privacy in the whois database, however there is an address on their data privacy page. It is a home at 4425 W Pinsapo Dr Fresno, CA 93772 and ownership of that property is redacted as well as it is owned by a public official. However, one could snail mail them at that address asking for a refund. Probably won't respond but who knows?

Does not work at all - files are damaged, unreadable. The service is not usable for anything as one cannot be sure their files will be available when needed. Support is unavailable - on the chat is always bot although you can see the lady's photo at first sight, email cannot be sent. I tried to ask for refund more times but not possible way to contact them...
Scam, don't waste your money and find other lifetime services, not thi one. Never. Never, ever. Do you get me? Never!

I subscribed to thunderdrive with their lifetime offer and it worked ok for the first 12 months however it is now impossible to access any of my files. I cannot download them or even see them.

Thunderdrive is a scam. They are stealing people’s money but offering accounts that do not work. I purchased a lifetime plan and it does not work. Their support has not answered after many emails. If I could rate this company/service zero I would.

This is really a fraud service that should be avoided at all costs. I purchased a lifetime membership a few years ago and kept my documents and other not-so-important but important notes on the drive. Now when I opened the site, it's all gone.

Strongly recommend avoiding it. My two cents.

Friends, I tell you the fact that Prismdrive.com is actually previously Thunderdrive.io ( both are from same scammer team). As Thunderdrive is disappeared similarly Prismdrive.com will be with our precious data. So be aware .....

I purchase a total of 2TB lifetime plans 4 years ago.
I haven't been able to download a single files in over two years.

100% waste of time and effort, as the "Contact Us" link results in "There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later"

I have purchased 2 accounts in lifetime deal, one was on eu.thunderdrive.com and another one was on app.thunderdrive.com both accounts are not working, the eu.thunderdrive.com domain is now invalid and app.thunderdrive.com is almost unusable no option is working all stored data is lost never purchase thunderdrive.

Just piling on here with others to be clear to anyone looking into them - don't do it. Had plan like others but now there is just no access to the info, can't download, etc. Save your money and your data - don't go here.

Like everyone else I got this for the free plan, 2 gig.

I'll explain below the two possibilities for this total failure. But I go in today after not having touched it for over a year, as I just tried to back up a bunch of crap, but never needed the stuff..

As usual, the icons have no image, download is something went wrong.

What I suspect: Either....
1) They gave out so many plans to get a ton of "users" so they could go get financial backing based on number of users, & all backers found out none were paying monthly....

2) Data harvesting operation. i.e. ALL your data was collected and sent off to whatever parent company this was part of.

And by keeping the site up, but useless, it just looks like a failed company so no one gets suspicious.

Bought this on StackSocial and thought I would use it as testing with redundant files that had already backed up. Thank god I did NOT use this my promamry backup. Logged in - 04/03/2023 - I was not able to retrieve any of the test files I had uploaded long ago.
