Excellent experience with Think Renewables
Had en excellent experience with Think Renewable installing our solar panels. Alex H was very knowledgeable about solar and the things we needed to consider for our installation. The proof for this experience came when NSW state regulator sent an independent inspector for reviewing our installation and gave the install 5 stars! They are not the cheapest option going around, but as they say, you get what you pay for, and in our case, that was a premium install experience.

STAY AWAY from this company. I've never done business with a more dodgy company than this one. First, they increased their prices because they "couldn't get their rebates from the energy scheme". Second, the installer failed to install the battery correctly. Thirdly, two months later, after escalating to NSW Fair Trading and the Building Commission, they send THE SAME INSTALLER around to fix it. He fixed one aspect of the battery and has left the rest to fail. I'm using DOUBLE the amount of electricity I was before and am not getting any resolution from this company. I'm going to have to employ a third party electrician and recover costs through small claims courts. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS!
If you're contemplating using this company, just know how terrible the experience is and be warned, they will not act on a warranty claim, their complaints and escalation procedures are not followed by their employees and they have no quality assurance processes on the electrical installation.
As at the date of this review, I'm still getting errors and the installation is not correct.

One of the company's customer service consultants Christopher provided outstanding service today (!!) and hence the reason for my review. A few weeks ago after an electrical storm I noticed there was an issue with my router. After replacing the router the connection between the solarman smart app and the internet was lost, which meant that I was unable to view the stats regarding my plant. For some reason I thought to contact the supplier initially which was a waste of time. The problem continued for two weeks with only two emails sent, offering no help at all. I then contacted Think renewable and within 20 minutes a huge and informative email was sent. It took a further 10 minutes for me to read, understand and implement the steps within the email and the problem was solved. This company not only provides a convenient sales solution, but excellent customer service as well. Thank you very much 👍😁

Enormous bill relief.
Alex H came to our home and explained how the solar system works and talked us through the design process. Once we signed up it was only a month before our system was up and running. We have just received our first bill (with the billing period fully post installation) and our charges are a quarter of what they were previously. After the government subsidy the bill was only $81. We estimate the system will pay for itself in just 4 years.

Alex H was fantastic to deal with from first visit .He was more than happy to answer any questions or doubts we had. We were dealing with another company as well but in the end Alex was the reason we went with Think Renewable.
Unfortunately that's where it ended. The installer put the inverter directly above the sungrow battery(which i got specifically to be able to increase capacity in the future if needed by stacking another unit on top) to which i was told, by Alex, we will move it for free if you ever want to add another battery module (dont like my chances of that happening). The installer also forgot to put in our hot water timer, which I didn't realise until after I payed the final invoice.
Took 3 attempts for them to actually come back out to do it (not us but just not showing up even though they asked us to wait at home for him).
Once it was installed my main inverter circuit breaker kept tripping and could not get any help. Was told by Alex to contact him if i had any problems so i did and got a reply saying that he had a family issues and work was the least of his worries but he would pass on my details to his manager. Still haven't heard anything to this day, being nearly over a month later ,from anyone. (Alex messaged 3 weeks after to ask how i went but never got a reply after that) ended up having to get my own electrician to come out the day before Christmas, he found that the cheap circuit breaker(rated at 50amp) that they installed was getting too hot next to the hot water timer they also installed causing it to trip(at only 40amp).
I really was hoping it would be different but as usual once they get your money they really don't care. I have actually had the other company that I didn't go with contact me more times to get my feedback and ask how they could improve and also answer some questions I had about my system and to give them a call in the future if I need any help.
Think Renewable say they have a 10year workmanship warranty and they will deal with your product warranties for the first 10 years also, but when I can't even get them to fix a small problem I'm really hoping I never have a major issue. I have tried contacting them via multiple different email addresses and have called the number and left a messages with no luck.

It was great meeting Cameron
It was great meeting Cameron his knowledge of Think Renewable solar products and services helped make the decision to install very easy. The no deposit finance was also great for anyone struggling financially that can’t afford to spend the high amounts to have a solar system installed. So far I’ve been keeping track of my energy provider app and currently the estimated usage and cost is very low. Hopefully as time goes on and with the functioning of the system I can maintain at this rate.

Cameron and the team were fantastic!
Dealing with Cameron during the initial phases and the lead up to install was a great experience. Happy to respond to text message queries and always quick on the response. Unlike some other places vying for my signature, Cameron never pushed and even offered advice on how to deal with the other, pushy vendors.
The local install team were friendly and explained fully what was going on and how things were progressing. The process was quicker than expected which was a bonus!
I will definitely recommend the entire team to others without hesitation.

My first review is simply to talk about first contact and installation. Alex Harrison was our first contact and his experience and explaining the advantages of upgrading our solar system simply made sense.
The install team were truly knowledgeable, friendly, professional and very capable.
Since install, we’ve used just over 100kw and fed over 1000kw to the grid.
I’ll post again when I receive my next power invoice.
