My personal experience with the owner’s…

My personal experience with the owner’s previous business
Important note: I have not purchased any vehicle or used services from this new business. This review is not a reflection of the quality of this new business. My review relates only to my previous experience dealing with the owner through his previous company, where I purchased a vehicle from him.
I am sharing my experience so that potential customers can make their own informed decisions. I am not writing this review to attack anyone or to accuse anyone of wrongdoing. Everyone is free to make their own choice, and I am simply sharing my personal experience and opinion.
I purchased a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate from the owner’s previous dealership, believing that buying from a professional dealer would provide confidence and peace of mind compared with buying privately.
Unfortunately, my experience was very different.Around two and a half months after purchase, I experienced serious engine problems. During diagnosis, the faulty components identified, including camshaft-related components and rocker arms, were listed as items covered under the warranty policy.
However, despite these components being included within the warranty cover, the claim was declined by the warranty provider. The reason given was that the failure was considered wear and tear rather than a sudden mechanical breakdown. This was very disappointing, as I purchased the vehicle believing that the warranty would provide protection in the event of a serious mechanical issue. Although the parts appeared to be covered, the claim was ultimately rejected because of how the cause of failure was classified.
As a result, I had to arrange and pay for the engine repair myself.
I also want to acknowledge that you did offer to collect the vehicle and carry out repairs through your own workshop. I do not deny that you were willing to try to resolve the situation.
However, after experiencing several issues shortly after purchase, my confidence in the vehicle and the repair process was affected. From the beginning of my ownership, the vehicle had an AdBlue fault which I was not aware of at the time of purchase. This later became another issue that I had to deal with.
Together with the engine problems and suspension issues that appeared shortly after purchase, this left me with concerns about the condition of the vehicle and the checks that had been carried out before sale.
Because several problems appeared within such a short period of ownership, I lost confidence in having the repairs carried out by the same workshop. My preference was to use a neutral independent garage that both sides could agree on, but unfortunately we were not able to reach an agreement.I also experienced issues with the front suspension shortly after purchase. I was informed that both front lower suspension components required replacement. When I contacted you about this, I was advised that this was considered normal wear and tear and would not be covered.
From my perspective, this was difficult to accept. I had only owned and driven the vehicle for approximately two and a half months, and these components would normally be expected to last significantly longer than such a short period of ownership.
This situation left me questioning how these issues were not identified during the inspection and preparation of the vehicle before sale.
After our disagreement regarding the vehicle and the issues I experienced, I later discovered that a strike-off process had been started for the previous company.
