DO NOT RECRUIT FOR THESE COWBOYS. My company also had to write off large expenses after they didn't pay for a delivered project. Even used a debt collection agency who had no joy. Never work for them....ever!!!
Fraud and Scammers..... Don't do business with them.
We worked with this company and successfully delivered over 25–30 projects within just 3 months. However, despite repeated assurances, they have not paid even a single penny for the work completed. Every follow-up was met with empty promises, but no actual payment was made.
At first, they present themselves as a legitimate company, but once the invoice due date arrives, they stop cooperating, cut off communication, and avoid payment.
Such practices are extremely damaging to our industry. Many companies have already suffered due to their actions, and based on what we’ve learned, they have scammed nearly 20 organizations so far.
They exploit smaller organizations that put in immense effort to deliver high-quality work, only to be left unpaid and misled. Companies like this are a serious black mark on the industry and should be held accountable for their fraudulent behavior.
If anyone has additional contact details for them, please share—it may help others avoid falling into the same trap.

Just joining the chorus of other reviewers here. We did business with this "company" in 2024, and have been chasing them for more than a year for payment. Perhaps once every two months they reply to our emails and tell us payment is coming soon, but nothing ever materializes. Don't do business with them.
Stay away from them!
Periscope Market Research in Italy has worked with this company in 2024 and we have never been paid.
They keep saying that they "are doing everything to resolve their financial challenges".
After one year we have not been paid yet.
Stay away from this bunch of thieves.
Looks like I’m another one of their victims
Looks like I’m another one of their scam victims. I also did a part 1 survey and part 2 focus group on March 20. April 7 I received a bs email from Vanshita saying their email was down and payments would be processed then. I’ve sent 4 emails to different people and the so called number is not set up for voice mail. Next might be to visit their Oakville Ontario office to see if someone is there or call another business in that building. Something tells me it’s a non-existent or empty space. Absolutely disgusting.
I completed Part 1 of a 2 Part survey
I completed Part 1 of a 2 Part survey. I was supposed to receive $50 but never got it. I am scheduled for Part 2 on March 20, 2025 but it won't happen, that's for sure.,
Fraudulent / Delinquent Ownership
The Insights Shop is clearly engaged in fraudulent and deceptive business practices and completely delinquent in paying vendors. They are continually failing to make good on payments long overdue and mandated to be paid by court. We conducted a large project for them in late 2022 and have been trying to collect a majority of the fees since early 2023. We retained a law firm in Canada which helped get a default judgement issued in August of last year. Unfortunately, without Canadian banking information they have so far been unable to garnish funds. They are now trying to get information to potentially seize assets or at least limit the purchase and sale of assets. If anyone has any current information as to the were-abouts or assets of the company or owners including Mahesh Marothia that would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the contact info we have:
mahesh@theinsightsshop / mailing address: Suite #200 – 690 Dorval Drive, Oakville, ON, L6K 3X9. Thank you. Scot Carson. CEO Amusement Advantage.
Here's How To Find Them
Update: they never replied after the suggestion of a third-party escrow service. They are clearly scammers, and I've updated my review to reflect this. Do NOT trust these people, they are out to scam you. If they screwed you over, you need to find their in-country corporate agents and sue.
Original:
I've not worked with them as a supplier but I've had now multiple conversations with them and they have been a little cagey. I'm waiting to hear back from them if they are willing to use a third party service like Catalant to hold funds in escrow.
That said, I did some digging, since I know how to.
Their registered agent is Harvard Business Services: 16192 Coastal Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958. Phone 302 645 7400
They have a US address at 8 The Green, Dover, DE but that's not their registered address. Find out the owner of that site by going here: City of Dover Assessor's Office.
You can look up more for yourself or do more digging at going to Delaware's registered entity search tool.
I'm sure there are other way to look too.
For Europe, there's a service to look up UK registered orgs. I'm sure there is for Canada as well.
This is a total scam
This is a total scam, stay away from it. They ask around everywhere to get someone stupid enough to do the work for them and then suppliers are only offered 45 days payment terms and then not getting paid even after that long payment time.
In my experience, the only way to make these people pay is contacting their end client, who obviously pays them. Or ask for upfront payment.
unpaid invoice for recruitment proejct
We completed a recruitment project on February 24 and have not received payment since. The Insights Shop occasionally replies to my emails, each time providing a new reason for the delay but never indicating a potential payment date. I would recommend avoiding projects with this company. Their project was for a large international client, who would likely be very upset to learn about such poor vendor practices.
How is this company still being awarded business?
How is this company still being awarded work by end clients? Sponsors need to be aware of how this company is misleading and defrauding companies internationally.
It's my mission to alert clients in pharma to the predatory and despicable practices of this company.
Who's up for a class action suit?
If we could give them 0 stars
If we could give them 0 stars, we would. Just like everyone else, we completed projects for them (several), and we paid out our participants and we just never got paid. It's been over two years. They are brazen scammers. They give the same excuses that they give everyone else. 'The money bounced back', 'We just sent it', 'There was a problem with the transfer, we will schedule payment in two weeks from now'. Years have gone by, we have paid our respondents out of pocket, and TIS still has not paid us.

They don't pay after the work is completed. I'm still waiting for a payment after more than 6 months ago.
Don't pay for any research, bad overall
They don't pay their suppliers
As other reviewers have noted, this agency does not pay its suppliers despite making promises to do so.
I would suggest that all Market Research Professionals (and participants, for that matter!) steer well clear until they start paying suppliers.
Project done, no pay, ghosted...
They commissioned us a recruitment project and we spend so much effort to find them the English speaking respondents and then after the FW, they completely disappear, emails were bounced back as failure, the ones that pass through were also ghosted. Wish I would have seen these reviews before. 8 months past, no replies at all.
Will not pay, terrible to deal with
Commissioned project Nov 23. Project started in Dec 23 then was put on hold and later cancelled. Had agreed to 30 day payment terms, invoice was issued on 14 Mar 24 and to date we have not received any payment or communication. Incredibly unprofessional, we will never work with again. Do not recommend, wish we had read reviews before commissioning this project.
All the effort, but no pay
Do not deal with this company. They commissioned work with us at the end of last year. My team picked up bugs in their survey software which prompted them to put the project on hold, which it has been ever since. We raised an invoice for work done to date and this, and subsequent emails, has met with no response from their CEO.
We are now bringing this to the attention of ESOMAR, so they can warn their members.

Fraudulent scammers and do not pay the participants or the organizations that hire them. They also ask for personal banking details when they are contracted to pay via virtual rewards cards. Do not hire them or do any study that uses this company to pay participants.
This company doesn’t pay you for…
This company doesn’t pay you for surveys you do. They dont pay others who serve as the set up companies either. Very bad and appears to be scammers. Avoid them whether you’re an individual or company using them to recruit people for their surveys.
