I don’t even know where to start with regards to what an amazing driving instructor Dave is. I was told by my previous driving instructor that I would never be able to drive a manual car, well Dave made that happen and I passed first time!! The countless hours he has dedicated to learning resources for his pupils is unmatched. I personally found them so useful and spent a lot of time watching them in between lessons. He is not only a brilliant instructor but a lovely genuine person who I am glad I have had the pleasure of meeting. I would recommend Dave to anyone learning to drive, especially someone who suffers with anxiety like me, he has such a calming presence and put me at ease from day one. Thank you so much again for everything especially for believing I could do it!

I passed my driving test today. I am very grateful to my instructor Mr. D. C. Jonker for all the advice and skill he taught me. I recommend Mr Jonker. A very good instructor who can teach you how to drive and help you pass the exam.

Alex is amazing driving instructor. Perfect for anyone who is nervous to drive. His friendly and supportive attitude makes it so relaxing to be on the road. So today i passed my driving test first try. I couldn't done this without Alex. He is calm and and willing to provide solid feedback an ares of driving were i found myself struggling. He's been the best driving instructor, he got me through everything. I would 100 %recommend Alex. Thank you

I can't recommend Green Cat enough. I started my driving journey with Alex shortly before covid. I was extremely nervous at the start and I didn't feel that driving came naturally to me. Alex was endlessly patient, always coming up with new ways to explain things to me and he never let me be hard on myself when I made mistakes or was slow to "get" something. When lockdowns interrupted our lessons, he was always prepared to get me back up to speed and back to making progress when our lessons restarted. I always felt challenged in the right way - I never felt like I was stagnating but we also never went through things too quickly. He had so many tools and strategies - reviewing dashcam footage, demonstrating points on a map, physical reminders in the car and many more - to help enhance my learning and they were so helpful. Part way through my journey, I was diagnosed with ADHD and this really put my experience into perspective. I took a break from driving and switched to automatic and the difference was night and day. I practiced in my own car and then had 3 automatic lessons with Alex before my automatic test which really put me at ease - he was just as fantastic then as he was during my manual lessons. I was able to practice in my own car because of the quality of the teaching I'd received in my previous lessons. Friends and family who supervised me while I was practicing all remarked that I felt like a "natural" driver with lots of experience, which is definitely not how I felt inside! I know for certain that had Alex not been such a fantastic instructor, I would have given up driving but thanks to him, I passed the first time I took an automatic test and I'm now a happy, confident and comfortable driver! Correspondence was always prompt, he was never late for lessons and was always on hand for any questions I had between lessons. I felt like I was in the safest hands at all times and I don't hesitate to recommend Alex and Green Cat for anyone looking to learn to drive.

Had David as my instructor and he was really good and friendly. He talks you through everything in easy steps and makes you feel confident. Really glad that I got him and would definitely recommend.

Alex was the best! Very patient and understanding. I can’t say enough good things about him. I had previous driving experience in the states, but he helped so much with my confidence on the UK roads. I would recommend him to anyone who needs lessons!

Dave was an incredibly supportive, helpful and patient instructor. His method of teaching was in depth but also easy to understand. The lesson times were really flexible and great mock test feedback was given as well as plenty of helpful videos.
Finally he is a great person in general, always positive and can tell he genuinely cares about his students passing.
There is no one I would recommend more.

After using a different instructor for a year and having an overal negative expericence, I changed to David Jonker.

Within 10 mins of my first lesson he filled me confidence. As an instructor he was great, I couldn't of asked for more. Things I previously struggled with he made simple, convincing me that I am actually a good driver. I passed first time and as much as he'd say it was all me he should take a huge chunk of credit. As an instructor he was top tier but also he is just a generally nice bloke, I enjoyed and even looked forward to having lessons with him we had a good laugh learning.

I could not reccomend him enough

I’ve just passed my manual driving test and I am absolutely buzzing! I have had about 40 hours of lessons with Liam and he’s been the most patient instructor I could have asked for 😂 thank you so much Liam and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a nicer instructor :)

Alex is the BEST driving instructor ever, he was so patient with me an so understanding! I passed second time today an I couldn’t have got back out there without Alex’s support a faith in my driving. I’m going to miss our chats an weekly catch ups, but here’s to the next chapter!! Alex, Thankyou so much you really are great!!

My instructor Dave was lovely, really great teacher and just a lovely guy to be honest. I had lessons with him for just leas than a year, and manages to pass my test first try from his teaching.

Green cat and Dave in particular was a great supportive instructor for my son. He really enjoyed his lessons and with Dave's help he was able to pass first time in only 6 weeks couldn't recommend him and Green cat enough 👍

Made driving really understandable, was friendly and gave me confidence while driving. Explained everything thoroughly and made sure I was prepared for my test with extra hours practice. (Instructor David Jonker)

Excellent, wonderful coach.

On my first lesson I asked Alex if we could aim to get my licence before I went back to college and that’s exactly what he helped me do, in 2 months of learning he taught me everything that I needed to know to pass a test, and how to properly drive once I have passed. His 2 hour lessons are brilliant, they help you get plenty done and are definitely worth it. Thank you Alex 😁😁😁

Dave was very friendly and supportive, as well as a clear and constructive teacher. Wouldn't've wanted anyone else to help me before my exam!

Alex is a very good instructor. Even though I was nervous to drive for quite awhile, he will make sure you know what you're doing. Explains stuff very well to make sure you definitely understand what to do. Also very reliable, will let you know if there's cancellations so you can pick up more lessons.

Well what can I say now my feet are back on the ground following my successful test today?
Alex at Green Cat is a complete gem of an instructor. Always patient and understanding - he allows you to learn and develop at your own pace. But with the right amount of can do attitude to push you to excel. I can not recommend him enough and the only downside is I will miss our weekly catch ups!
