Rude and pushy

Just got cold called this morning and did a quick check online as she was on the phone, bad reviews. I told her about the reviews and she tried to direct me to her business website (the contractors thecontractorsgrp.com) which has all 5 star reviews. The tried to play it off and said it was her uncles business and they had great service. In the middle of me speaking, she just hung up on me ! Rude, and that’s why I’m here.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

Cold call marketing…

Cold call this morning asking if I had romodeling work. I was cold called by "Jeff" claiming to be representing the Contractors group. He did not identify himself, I had to ask.
When asked for his last name,
He said it wasnt necessary and would not provide it.
Caution: suspicious when caller refuses to identify themselves and the company they are representing. Doesn't appear legitimate. For marketing companies, your representation should be transparent without question.
Cold calling is not effective due to the bad actors with fraudulent intentions.
Its best not to answer calls from numbers you don't recognize.

If It Walks & Talks Like A Scam…

I was cold-called by The Contractors Group, supposedly out of Burbank Ca. After a discussion I agreed to have them come to my house and give me an estimate for an RV pad and traffic rated water box. They were here on time, and after measuring the yard, we sat down to discuss costs. Everything ground to a halt when I asked the main “contractor” to identify himself. Other than a “license” with his name on it, he refused to show me his DL, or anything else with his picture, to prove he was the legitimate owner of the license. Nevertheless I asked and they said they’d send me my estimate.
Two days later, nothing. No promised estimate, no agreed-upon call from the “supervisor”, no promised follow-up visit.
I think I’ll look elsewhere.
