Horrible experience

I would give them less than one star if I could. I wasted $600 and 6 hours of my time supervising this 2 person team. I asked for a deep cleaning of a dirty rental we moved into. What I got was the team dusting above our belongings ( toothbrushes, towels, kitchen items), failing to use common sense to cover things. One cleaner spent an hour slowly wiping the counter in our kitchen. I had to follow them around asking them to do what was requested. When I checked the work, nothing was done right. I was beyond disappointed with their work. In fact, they left one of our bathrooms with a dirty toilet after they had used it themselves, including brown spots on the tile next to toilet. Appalling this is even a business! Do not waste your valuable time or money!

No consistency

The first two deep cleans were great, after that it hit or miss. Mostly miss. The cleanings were decent, not the thorough cleanings the owner promised. When I did get 2 girls that were excellent and pointed out to me all the areas that were being neglected, I specifically asked for them only. That did not happen and the first time I called to ask why, understandably upset , I was told to find another cleaning company. Customer service, consistency, and customer communication is all but nonexistent. While cleaning is a necessity, it is also a luxury for most to have someone do it for you. When spending over $200 w/tip per cleaning, for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1300 sq foot house , I expect to get at least the cleaning the I was promised.

Poor management at TCA

I fired this company on October 7th. They called an hour before they were scheduled for a weekly cleaning to tell me that they observed insects during service a week prior. They have been coming weekly for almost two years without an issue. I have been having the house sprayed on a quarterly basis and it had been sprayed two days prior to this call. When I asked why she waited a week to let me know especially since I had arranged my schedule for their impending visit she could not offer a logical excuse. I spoke with two maids who used to work for them and serviced my home and they said they had never seen as anything that would cause this reaction. This is a management issue!!!

Small House cleaning

They were great in the beginning: 2 people cleaning a 1700 sq foot home with one bathroom would take 2 hours. I ended the service because two people cleaning the same house took 30 minutes. I felt like i was wasting my money and even more so when the owners sent me a video telling me that they don’t do dishes. Very disappointed.

Disappointed - Make sure they are cleaning what they are contracted to do

Company came recommended as I needed help keeping up with housework due to a very ill husband and my working two jobs. Started out well. Initial meeting w/quote, service schedule, etc. was detailed and informative. Highly stressed if any issues with the clean to contact them directly to fix versus negative reviews. Was happy with first clean, even though two ceiling fan blades were broken. Attributed to fans age. Realized the service was more of a surface clean rather than deep clean, however, needed the help and was more than willing to accept that. As cleans went forward every two weeks, something each time from the schedule was missed. I'm a newer customer, working with them for about three months. I rarely called to bring to their attention things were missed, but when I did they said they'd just be more attentive next time. Last clean was absolutely disappointing. Upon arriving home I noticed and completed their tasks: empty garbage can, clean coffee ring off kitchen counter, clean dining room table, wash bathroom floor, wipe doors. Noticed furniture not attended to. These were just quick notices. Contacted the service center and was told typically when this happens they will send out a crew for another clean free of charge. Heard back from branch location who asked if I had completed the necessary cleaning, of which I did, and offered a 50% discount on next scheduled clean noting that they had a new person on job but that was no excuse. After I thought about it, I decided they just aren't for us and requested a full reimbursement of recent clean, taking us off schedule for any future work. They complied. I would not recommend their services.

- Absolutely worst service ever

- Absolutely worst service ever - Never book a cleaning service with this company "Cleaning Authority"

I called and booked an appointment with them for cleaning our 2 BHK condo in mississauga. I did not get any confirmation of the appointment until they called me a day before. I asked for the quote how much they would charge for a 2 BKH condo and the call centre person did not give me the full quote instead gave a quote of 55/hr. I again asked how much time would it normally take for cleaning fully and she mentioned it would be a minimum of 4 hrs and cannot confirm on the exact time needed. I was in assumption that they may take 4-6 hrs for the full cleaning as it is 2 BHK condo. I would never expect it would take more than that. However, there were two ladies came for cleaning. Both were untrained and non professionals. One lady was little aged in 40s and was cleaning and the other was jus in 20s and don't know what is cleaning. She was cleaning like as if playing. They started the cleaning at ~ 1.30 PM and ended up at around 8.45 PM. I could not stay in the unit as they were cleaning, instead I was in my friend's home jus 1km away. I visited the unit at around 5.30 pm to check out if the cleaning is completed (at this moment, its 8 work hours). But they were only done with 1 rest room, hall and 1 bedroom and the second rest room was in progress. Then I visited again at around 6.30 or 7 pm and found that they were only done with 2 rest rooms, hall and 2 bedrooms. I gave preference to start with Kitchen and Rest rooms but the kitchen was untouched until 7 pm. Then when I finally visited at around 8.45 pm they said they are done and the burner cook top (glass) was not at all cleaned. They said they do not have any cleaning liquid to clean the burner cook top. Finally they said they are done and asked me sign the closure form. I have complained that I am not satisfied with the cleaning time taken and kitchen cleaning to the call centre. Later when I spoke with the manager regarding the charge for the cleaning, he told me I will be charged for for the full amount for their work hours (15 work hours - CAD 932.25) which I feel is a non sense for a 2 BHK condo. I called and complained again and they didn't care much. Its not ethical practice to force consumers to pay even if they are not satisfied with the service and jus because they believed in you, you made them to pay for nearly 1000 CAD whereas we had a quote received for around 250 CAD.

- Absolutely worst service ever -

Mixed Results/Broken Items/Resists Feedback

I used The Cleaning Authority for a little over 2 years. At first, it started out well. I met with Gary the owner and sales person and we mapped out a specific plan for my home. The problems arose in that the Cleaning Authority has a rotational method of cleaning that does not reflect the services Gary and I agreed to. While some crews would remember the right things to do, others would not.

Eventually, a crew was assigned to me that was very good. They lasted as a team almost a year. Unfortunately for me, one of the team members left to have a baby and the others that were assigned to fill her spot afterwards were not as good.

Examples of the problems:
1) We work at home and the team members would talk on the phone loudly. We complained and it was addressed, but the problem would recur.
2) Two sets of team members were caught just sitting in our den not working but on their phones and conversing
3) Dusting was spotty. One worker did it very well; the others seem to hate dusting. We continue to find areas of maximum build up, even though they were supposedly dusting.
4) Items were broken for which we were not reimbursed. We forgave up to a point---we are still awaiting reimbursement for a lamp.
5) Rates were raised abruptly, shortly after we joined. Again, we ate the cost because of one good team member we liked, but we were shocked at how quickly rate went up---from $175-$195 in a few months
6) The final straw for us was when a new team member came on board and repeatedly did not clean the soap tray in a bathroom, placed a dirty drainer and dirty cleaning cloths on top of my facial soap, could not put rugs and other items back in place, banged into the walls and doors with her vacuum (knicked them), and knocked framed art askew. When pointed out to the Cleaning Authority these problems, I was assured they would be corrected; the next week the same things happened, with the same worker even putting the dirty drainer on top of the soap.
7) The manager of day-to-day operations was also very difficult to work with. The daughter of the owners, she was rarely willing to admit a mistake even when she made mistakes in billing.
8) The direct supervisor would come to check on things but often engaged herself in loud conversations with her staff or about things unrelated to the house cleaning.
8)Please note that pictures of all problems raised where shared as evidence and were not denied

The oddest thing is that we did not complain about the repeat of the drainer-on-the-soap incident mentioned in number 6 again to the manager because we were trying to be kind; I assumed perhaps the person was impaired to keep doing the same mistakes over and over again. Her partner worker stated to us that she was tired of working with person who had done it, because that worker tended to half-do her job. She actually asked us to complain, but we did not.

I don't know what happened, but The Cleaning Authority's response was to abruptly cancel our services. Very unprofessional. So in short, I would say that The Cleaning Authority can do well when you are lucky enough to get a good team. But they seem to take it very personally if you raise concerns about the routine items anyone would expect in their house cleaning.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. They waste your time and lie about training. You spend days and hours giving your all to work with them but instead they use your time and waste it. Gigx and the cleaning authority are just very incorrectly wrong in how they waste people's time.

Not worth for what you spent

There is no less than 1 Rating that I want to give to these guys. They came out to clean my house and charged $425 for the 3-hour job and they didn't even clean 50%. The bathrooms were not cleaned properly, The Floor and carpet still have a lot of dust though they mentioned they cleaned it. out of 2 maids, one maid was super slow and I could easily figure out she intentionally worked slow. When I called them back and complained about the work, their response was rude and said that is what the best they can do and she just disconnected the call. I had to pay to my leasing office for another $220 for the un-cleaned house. So, I had to spend $645 for a 1350 SQFT apartment. I will never recommend them to any one.

I was over charged for a full detail…

I was over charged for a full detail clean. The original estimate was $240 and I was billed $370. The actual clean done was a regular clean of value $150. Areas on floor not cleaned, fans, furniture not clean, blinds dirty, other areas included in detail not cleaned.
When I contacted the office to notify them of the missing areas that would have been part of just regular clean, the owner offered me a $10 credit and said I will be charged for someone to come out and do the missed cleaning areas. Very poor quality, service and dishonest owner.

For the Nashville market

For the Nashville market. I called on Friday 2/16/24 and expressed it was an emergency that the owner or manager call asap. It is Monday 2/19/24 with no return phone call. While we are out of the country the cleaning crew busted our front door deadbolt. (Video proof). Our house is totally unsecured and they haven’t bother to call back. I find this highly unsettling and they will not be invited back to our home after more than a year of being trusted. Unprofessional and embarrassing for the owner.

Don’t count on the Cleaning Authority.

I contacted Cleaning Authority to get an estimate for a one time heavy cleaning in my home. They immediately scheduled an appointment for several days later. The day of the appointment Morgan called on my cell phone and left a message confirming an 11:00 am appointment. She asked that I call her back to ensure follow through. I called Morgan back in a timely fashion and again confirmed the appointment. Morgan was a No call: No show. What a disgrace. Morgan had no regard for her customers or her Employer. I recommend that you don’t count on the Cleaning Authority.

The cleaning itself is pretty good

The cleaning itself is pretty good. But I went with this company because they make a big deal about environmentally safe products and that they care about the environment. What a joke! They use incredible toxic, laden with fragrance, products. I get a splitting headache every time they clean. I've complained but to no avail. I am definitely canceling their service.

Lies, thieves.

Lies! Thieves! Charged for deep cleaning. Spent 45 minutes rearranging items in my home. Sat in car in front of my house to charge me for hours. Called supervisor who came out with the cleaning ladies and confronted on what was not cleaned and asked to go through and instruct on cleaning. July, 2023

Not good quality

I have ordered the company for a first time for a deep clean for the 1st and 2nd floor of our house. The two ladies were very nice but this is the only positive thing I can say. When they were done I made a quick check and they missed a lot of spots (bath tubs, baseboard, etc) After they were gone I spotted more.
Honestly for this high price ($65 per hour per cleaner) I expect a much better quality. It doesn’t give me much trust about the rest of the house and I can’t check everything.
I can’t recommend this company due to the fact that my house didn’t look much cleaner afterwards.
