Retired employee at The Bay and…

My wife is a retired employee at The Bay for 30 yrs and very disappointed with their Customer Service. They have eliminated her employee discount on her Credit card for no reason at all.If you have a problem regarding your credit card don’t depend on Customer service to help you. They will give you the run around and expect you to fix the problem. We will not shop there anymore and advise caution for customers who shop there.

Shipping to wrong address!!

The Bay must stop using UPS for their deliveries!!! UPS keeps sending our orders to the wrong address in another city 40kms away, thousands of dollars worth of stuff handed to someone else for the last two years and still right now. Multiple complaints and investigations to simply get compensated weeks later without our ordered items. Unbelievably irritating, the The Bay please do better through other carriers.

The Bay's coupon policy is…

The Bay's coupon policy is frustratingly deceptive. Coupons promise enticing discounts but are riddled with exclusions that render them nearly useless. Rather than an exhaustive list of what they don’t apply to—often encompassing most desirable brands and categories—it would be far clearer and more honest to specify what they do apply to. The current approach feels like a bait-and-switch, leading to disappointment at checkout and diminishing trust in the brand. Customers expect transparency, not a guessing game. If The Bay wants to retain loyal shoppers, they should prioritize clarity and fairness in their promotional practices. This current tactic is disheartening.

Hudson's Bay - prices up, quality down

I have been a loyal customer for many years. I have purchased a multitude of household items. This most recent purchase, king size sheets, Bay Days sale, marked down from $175 saw an incredibly thin set of sheets arrive (cotton/polyester blend). Washed the pillow cases only to find they emerged from the drier unbelievably rough. There is no longer an opportunity to write a product review on the Bay's website. How can this be? Why can customers no longer review their purchases, especially the poor quality ones. I attempted to return my product but was told the policy for sheets is that if they are washed, they will not accept returns. How else would I have known how rough the sheets would be once laundered if I had not washed them? I would not even put these on the guest room bed, they are that horrible. The Bay's prices have skyrocketed and the quality of their products has dropped. Case #13485527

“False Price Match Policy and Poor Customer Service”


I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this store, particularly with their so-called “price match policy.” Twice now, I’ve found better prices elsewhere, and each time, I followed their exact instructions, including providing the website, screenshots, and details of the lower price. Both times, I was met with delays and excuses that seemed intentionally designed to avoid honoring the price match.

On my latest attempt, I provided all the information right away, yet customer service asked for it again. After resending everything, they went silent until I followed up. By the time they finally replied, they claimed they couldn’t honor the price match because the other website’s promotion had ended. It felt as though they purposefully delayed their response to wait out the promotion. This is not what I expect from a store that advertises a commitment to price matching.

The store’s customer service is frustratingly unresponsive, and requests to speak with a manager resulted in the same runaround. It’s clear that this store does not take customer satisfaction seriously and that its price match policy is misleading, if not outright deceptive.

Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere if you’re hoping for fair and honest

The BAY is a terrible retailer.

I am so saddened that I have to write this review as I worked at the Bay as a young adult, however after today I am going to be taking my purchases elsewhere. I purchased the ICONIC Bay Striped products , a throw and a blanket..... the three items I purchased , went on sale less that 24 hours later ... when I called the next day to get a pricing adjustment, they said they could not give me a price adjustment. I said cancel the order, they said they cannot ....I told them they better give me a pricing adjustment as I know their policy as a former employee... after pushing them the customer service agent advised that he put the request through and that someone would be calling me to confirm.... if I don't get my price adjustment, I will take it up with the BBB.... and Social media.

THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR GD PHONE

Why bother even having a phone number when they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE. If you are lucky they might, depending on the department. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A BUSINESS TO OPERATE IN THIS MANNER. WASTING THE CLIENT'S TIME FOR HOURS ON END TRYING TO GET THROUGH EVEN TO ANY DEPT JUST TO HEAR A HUMAN. They even pick up the phone and then hang up - probably was an accident as they wanted to use the phone to call someone. Does UPPER management even know what they are doing in the departments? Do they need to be RETRAINED in this day and age that LANDLINES STILL EXIST AND IT'S NOT ALL CELLULAR PHONES? And it's common courtesy to answer the phone?

First off

First off, fix your escalators. They been broke for months. Your staff is rude. I was looking around men's wear, sales women walks right in front of me cut me off. Looks at me like I have disease. We have shopped at the Hudson's Bay store most of my life ( 68 yrs.) Unfortunately the owners are of the mind set it's okay put a Zellers store in next to the Bay and Saks. Absolute trash.

0/10 Would not recommend…

Just left the store and the customer service was TERRIBLE. My sister was prepared to spend hundreds of dollars on a dinnerware set and they could barely be bothered to check and see if they had enough pieces to complete the set. How on earth do they stay in business???

I would give this shopping platform the…

I would give this shopping platform the bay.com a zero .worst experience I have ever gone through .. with customer service . The bay stores no longer have a customer service floor in their stores .i had gone through affirm to make payments on time . 2 out of the
three items I had , had to be returned .
I had to get a cab and pay 60.00 to get to and from the bay . The woman at the till said your refund will be in your bank in the next few days and it was . I had to get authorization from customer service to Affirm so they could cancel the rest of my payments which added up to 129.34 . I called the customer service for at the bay and talked to a women who did not seem to know the process of this simple procedure .i asked where are you located and she said Africa ( I was shocked ) I asked to talk to her superior and she’s said he won’t come to the phone , all you can do is go back to the store to customer service . I again said there is no customer service in the store , you are the only customer service . I just hang up . I called Affirm and they said they were going to investigate but they didn’t .i paid for that merchandise and was out 129.34 because of the bay . I guess this is how desperate they
are to grab your money . I will never shop online or the dep’t store again and I have been going to the bay for 34 + years . I only lost that small amount of money but I am a senior and can’t afford to .
I read through the reviews and I saw many reviews of people who lost a lot more .
Someone was saying every time they go into a bay store the esclators and elevators are broken ,at least 2-3 .
I hope the people that read this take it seriously as you will lose money shopping on their platform thebay.com

Customer Service is terrible

The Bay customer service department was rude, dismissive, unethical and definitely not the Bay that you may remember. The Bay of yester year seems long gone.
I called customer service regarding the Price Match Guarantee on a SMEG coffee maker. They denied it was the same even though I sent them 3 emails from SMEG confirming it was the same model machine. I also sent them 3 links to retailers that were selling the machine much much cheaper. After 6 days and many emails they granted to Price Match Guarantee at the price on the day of grant which was already $40 higher. In addition, the customer service representative Olga hung up on me after she said if i wanted to know who the President *& CEO was I should google it.

The customer service is beyond unpleasant to deal with. I assume if they keep treating customers the way i was treated they will close down just like Bloor Street did.

Avoid this store and it's customer service.

If you are ever looking for any guarantee's this is not the place to go!

Did not require signature on $350…

Did not require signature on $350 delivery. Parcel was stolen, and The Bay was completely unresponsive. The most they would do, after weeks of emails, was offer me a $20 gift card. They also took weeks to do a trace investigation, when it was clear from the picture that the parcel was left outside my apartment door. It was a complete waste of my time and delayed a response. But leaving a parcel of that value unattended, not requiring a signature, is not a proper delivery. Deeply disappointed with the Bay's policy. This company has really deteriorated.

garbage product, garbage service

Bought queen size flannel sheet set which tore upon making up the bed the first time. Sent a picture and filed a complaint which they decided to answer months later stating it was too late... "here's a $20. gift card". Garbage product, garbage service, garbage company. Never shopping there again.

If I could give zero stars I would. On line customer service is useless. They are having a problem with their distribution company. The Bay knows but won’t offer any support when dealing with produce refund.

Unacceptable Customer Service and Unresolved Refund Issue

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience with Hudson Bay. I returned two items on the 22nd and was supposed to receive a refund of over $700. However, it has been 13 days now since I returned the items, and I have yet to receive my refund.

Despite numerous attempts to contact Hudson Bay's customer service, I have been met with a lack of concern and unhelpful responses. Nobody seems to be willing to assist me in resolving this issue, and I am still waiting for my refund.

The lack of communication and resolution from Hudson Bay is unacceptable, and I am starting to question their commitment to customer satisfaction. I urge others to be cautious when shopping with this company, as they may not stand behind their return policy.

I will continue to pursue my refund and hope that someone will finally take responsibility for resolving this issue.

I ordered a Ba&sh sweater on Hudson's…

I ordered a Ba&sh sweater on Hudson's Bay website at a great price (80% off) I paid 8$ for the shipping. However, the package was never delivered to me and ended up being returned to the sender (seems like they did not put the correct address). I contacted customer support because I still wanted to receive my package. But they told me the only thing they can do is to refund me... So disappointed! So I ask them to make sure to refund the shipping fee as well but they said they could only refund the fee but not the taxes!!! So I end up paying taxes for a package that I never received because of their error!! This is unacceptable, will never purchase from them again!!!

Sexual Harassment

When we tried to exchange for a larger size of the 2 Tommy T-shirts we ordered online, the associate lead Marwa at White Oak Mall, told us she could not take them because there was smoke on them. It was unbelievable; we just got it two hours ago. Order number 1222147986, and tracking 275024308033. I can guarantee there is absolutely no smoke on them. She kept telling us she could not do an exchange. We got extremely angry! After a 15-minute argument under everyone's watch, she finally felt shame and told us she could make an exception. With sales like this, nobody will buy from you again. Well done for hiring people like her!

Imagine if a female came to exchange the cloth, and the first thing a male salesman did was smell it! How crazy is this?!  What other things does she want to smell? This is sexual harassment!
