Our family has been part of Theatretrain since 2006, with many wonderful memories made both at Bury St Edmunds and also through our involvement with the Sudbury group. Over the years, Theatretrain has become so much more than a performing arts school to us – it has been a place where young people are encouraged to grow in confidence, discover who they are, and truly thrive both on and off the stage.
The support and encouragement the students receive is second to none. Theatretrain celebrates individuality and helps every child find their own voice, whether they dream of performing professionally or simply want to build confidence and make lifelong friendships. The teachers are incredibly talented, dedicated, and inspiring. They genuinely care about every student and create a nurturing environment where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to be themselves.
My daughter has attended the Bury St Edmunds school since she was exactly three years old, and the experiences she has gained there are truly immeasurable. From performances and Saturday sessions, to friendships and life skills, Theatretrain has given her opportunities that have helped shape the confident, kind, and resilient young person she is today.
What makes Theatretrain so special is that it teaches far more than singing, dancing, and acting. It teaches teamwork, commitment, self-belief, respect, and perseverance. The confidence that students develop carries through into every aspect of their lives, whether that's at school, in future careers, or in their personal relationships.
I cannot recommend Theatretrain Bury St Edmunds highly enough. It is a warm, welcoming, and inspiring community that changes lives, creates unforgettable memories, and helps young people become the very best versions of themselves. We are incredibly grateful for everything it has given our family over the last two decades. ❤️

I have been attending Theatretrain Maldon since I was 7 years old, and it has been such an amazing part of my life. The teachers are incredibly supportive, encouraging, and passionate about what they do, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels included. Over the years, I have grown so much in confidence and have developed my singing, acting, and dancing skills while making some fantastic friends along the way.

The opportunities to perform are brilliant, and every show is put together with so much care and dedication. Theatretrain Maldon feels like a second family to me, and I always look forward to going each week. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys performing arts or wants to build confidence, learn new skills, and be part of a friendly and supportive community.

What an absolutely fantastic production of Matilda! The talent, confidence, and energy shown by all the children were truly impressive. From the acting and singing to the choreography and stage presence, every detail reflected the hard work and dedication of both the young performers and the drama club team behind the scenes.

As a parent, I was completely overwhelmed with pride. In fact, I spent about half of the show in tears watching my daughter perform. Seeing her on stage with such confidence, joy, and passion was an incredibly emotional experience and one I will never forget.

A huge thank you to Carol and the entire Carshalton team for making this production possible. You have created a special experience and wonderful memories for the children and their families. We left the theatre smiling, inspired, and incredibly proud. Bravo to everyone involved!

I had the pleasure of being a chaperone on Sutton Theatre Train's recent production of Matilda Jnr at Charles Cryer Studio Theatre. I can't begin to use all the wonderful words to describe the Company.
Can leads the group with passion, enthusiasm, humility, humour, care and dedication. You can see how much Cas and her team bring to the group in the smiles on their faces.
I chaperone a lot and have rarely seen such happy children, so full of joy and enthusiasm. This makes each and every one of them shine and perform to their potential. This is a rare find.
It was pure joy to meet a Company of such well mannered, polite, kind and talented children. You should be VERY proud of what you do at Theatre Train Sutton.

Sutton theatretrain put on a great play Matilda is a great show for kids and it was lovely to see all kids had a role either on play 1 or 2. Great supporting cast for technical and emotional needs of the kids. Thoroughly enjoyable time at the Cryer theatre 😀

My daughter absolutely loves Theatretrain Bristol! It is genuinely the highlight of her week, and she looks forward to every session. The teachers are incredibly supportive, encouraging and passionate, helping children build confidence while having lots of fun.

Since joining, I’ve seen such a positive difference in her confidence, performance skills and friendships. The atmosphere is welcoming, inclusive and inspiring, and it’s wonderful to see how much the children enjoy being part of the Theatretrain family.

I couldn’t recommend Theatretrain Bristol highly enough to any parent looking for a place where their child can grow in confidence, develop new skills and make amazing memories.

Every Saturday I wake up at around 7:30-8am and think Finally! I get to go to Theatretrain again after a very long week of school. The people you meet there are so kind and so are the creatives team. Everyone there gets a chance to shine in the spotlight, whether that’s leading a dance, being a main in the dramas, or even getting a chance to audition for a solo. Everyone there makes life long friends and meet new people every step of their Theatretrain journey. I have been with Theatretrain for near enough 5 years and every Saturday feels like 3 hours is not enough for me as it’s the thing I enjoy the most ♥️

I seriously recommend this to any parent looking for a place for their child to shine. ✨
I would also like to mention how awesome Theatretrain is for their shows. I have done a show at the royal Albert hall back in 2023 and it was the most memorable thing I will always remember and my Theatretrain group have done some quiet unforgettable performances 💖

Incredible! Our daughter loves all the team at Theatre Train and it’s the club where she is absolutely at home and can be herself. It’s a joy to watch their shows and see how buzzing they are when they come home from TT each week.

My 8 year old daughter has been attending Theatre Train Maidstone for almost 3 years. Saturday mornings are the highlight of her week ! She is learning so much about all elements of performing and has a real love for drama, and a huge part of this is down to the guidance, support and care she is given. The team work hard to make every child feel like they belong and to nurture their skills and praise their achievements - very little phases Zara and I think a large part of that is due to the confidence she has gained being part of such a friendly, fun and educational theatre group. Absolutely blown away by TheatreTrain King’s Lynn’s production of The Addams Family at the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange. What an incredible show from start to finish!

The cast were nothing short of superb — every single performer brought energy, confidence and personality to the stage.

The children were outstanding; their talent, professionalism and stage presence were beyond their years. You could see how much hard work and passion had gone into every moment.

The comedy timing was brilliant throughout, with so many laugh-out-loud moments, balanced perfectly with stunning vocals and emotional performances. The choreography was sharp, creative and incredibly well executed, while the costumes and overall production design captured the spooky Addams Family vibe perfectly.

A truly entertaining, polished and heartwarming performance that showcased an amazing young cast and creative team. Huge congratulations to everyone involved — you should all be so proud. A real superstar production!

This is the best place. Since I began I have been making friends and learning lots of new skills. Mark, Laura and our teachers are the best and they help you succeed.

My daughter has been attending Theatretrain Maidstone for around 18 months now. I highly recommend this performing arts school. The teachers, led by Olivia (the company director), are all exceptional and clearly truly care about the children/pupils who attend.

The annual performance was last weekend and it was absolutely incredible. It truly highlighted all involved, by way of the cast (the children) as well as the team behind it.

Olivia’s leadership, alongside the support and encouragement from the wider team, very clearly creates an environment where children are able to truly flourish in confidence, performance and teamwork.

Alongside this, it is truly inclusive and everyone is kind, friendly and willing to help and support others.

Absolutely amazing experience with Theatretrain Maidstone! The staff are incredibly supportive, professional, and welcoming. They really help build confidence in children while making learning fun and enjoyable. The classes are well organised, and you can clearly see the passion and dedication from the teachers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a positive environment for acting, singing, and dancing. Thank you for all the hard work you do.

My daughter enjoyed the Theatretrain, Maidstone very much. She loves singing, dancing and acting. Last week they did the Show”Midnight Summer “, all the kids performed well, such a great team work. Well done to the teacher Ms Olivia and Children.
