Delay in credit refund at the end of contract, but after a quick call, Manny and the team sorting this for me straight away. Appreciate good customer service

About Bunch
Written by the company
Using innovative technology we are able to simplify people’s everyday lives by bunching ordinary, household bills into one platform and one monthly predictable bill.
We have created a selection of personalised packages to suit our differing customer needs. Meaning we’re able to help all our customers from students, to renters to homeowners.
Through our easy-to-use platform, customers are able to pick and choose what products they want to bunch into their package with options such as energy, super-fast broadband, water, contents insurance and lots more.
If our customers want to split their bills with other bill-payers they are able to do so (whether that be housemates or a partner). This allows our customers to have individual, personal liability and stops them being affected if others in the household have issues making payments. This helps to protect our customers and ultimately remove another layer of bill stress.
It’s important to us that our customers spend less time dealing with the hassle of bills and more time doing what they love. So at Bunch, we do all we can to make managing household finances easy.

Glad to have them off my back at last
I have had nothing but problems culminating in today's email which said "It was lovely chatting with you today." No one phoned me and I spoke to no one.

I am so angry and frustrated with this company. They pressure you to renew, but when you want to cancel, they ignore your emails. Even when you speak to someone and they say it will be sorted, it does not resolve. And they keep you paying at these higher prices. I am still waiting for it to be sorted. They block other suppliers from taking over your service. They are blocking my new water provider, while telling me they are not supplying my water. They are blocking my gas and electric with another provider, not processing my cancellation with them. When I emailed my wish to cancel within the 14 days they ignored it and weeks later, I am still waiting to change to my new provider. Even when you phone and speak to someone nothing happens. I am not sure what to do at this point. I don't have time to keep phoning. I am so unhappy with this company and I recommend that you do not get involved with them.
My experience One of the worst customer experiences I have had — unresolved billing issues and threats of legal actionwith Bunch has been…
My experience with Bunch has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend them based on my experience so far.
Since the beginning of my account, I have experienced repeated problems with billing, payments, refunds, communication and the handling of my complaints. I have had to spend considerable time chasing explanations for charges that should have been clearly explained in the first place.
There have been issues with duplicate payments, unexpected changes to the amounts being charged, disputed balances and refunds. Despite raising concerns and asking for a clear, itemised breakdown of my account, I have continued to struggle to obtain a satisfactory explanation of what I supposedly owe and how the balance was calculated.
I also informed Bunch that I was leaving the property and would stop using the broadband service from 29 July 2026. Despite this, further charges and late-payment fees were subsequently raised. I am now being pursued for an alleged balance of £236.84, and Bunch is threatening legal action while I still have concerns about the accuracy and justification of the amount claimed.
I am not refusing to engage with a legitimate bill. I am asking for transparency, accurate accounting and evidence supporting the charges. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase a company for a clear explanation of their own account.
The stress of having to deal with unresolved billing disputes and the possibility of court action has made this an especially frustrating experience.
I hope Bunch takes this complaint seriously, provides a complete transaction-by-transaction statement, explains the contractual basis for the disputed charges and resolves this matter fairly.
My advice to anyone considering Bunch: keep copies of every email, payment, refund and conversation, and check your statements carefully.
I will reconsider my review if this matter is properly investigated and resolved, but as things stand, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have had.
Poor customer service
I received a final statement from The Bunch confirming I was owed a £370.19 refund, which I received. Months later, they issued a revised bill claiming I owed an additional £48.27 for another month of broadband.
Despite repeatedly questioning this charge and being told my billing would be investigated, I received no satisfactory response, only repeated payment reminders and threats of late fees, a property visit and a potential CCJ.
The lack of communication and willingness to resolve a legitimate billing dispute has been extremely frustrating. They seem more interested in chasing payment than answering their customers' questions. Very disappointing experience.

Please DO NOT use BUNCH for your Energy supply. They did an unfair high bill for ending the contract when they DIDNT say that there was any fees to finish a contract. After a month of finishing the contract and after they said there was NOTHING else to pay, they gave us Final Bills of 400£.
Contact them multiple times trying to explain we didn't have to pay it. Finally had to pay because they would take me to court.
Thanks

Oh this company have got me depressed for months now. They are not a good company and I would not recommend anyone to use them.
After leaving I have been sent a ridiculous amount to a tune of over £5000. They have consistently removed money from my account. Last month alone they have removed £400 from my bank account. This is day light robbery and I will do all I can to sue this company. I keep getting different letters with different billing. I was paying £230 every month. I cancelled my contract and was slammed with over £5000 reason because I wasn't submitting my meter reading. Scam company. They should not be allowed to operate in the Uk. They are seriously causing people headaches. I recommended them to people who are now regretting they joined Bunch
Would not recommend
What started as a great experience in my first year with The Bunch has ended in the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was a customer for 3 years but the final year was a complete nightmare with duplicate accounts and double billing, and really poor/fully automated customer service. They’ve gone back to having actual humans engage with customers on some occasions but it isn’t enough to make up for the horrible final year they put me through as a customer. Months after terminating my account, I’m still dealing with discrepancies and sorting final bills.
Genuinely Awful
Horrible service quality and possibly the most unhelpful customer service I have ever experienced. Had to cancel within 30 days as the broadband provided was far below the quality promised and was told there is no better option available, which is verifibly untrue. Do no waste your time. If I could rate it 0 stars I would
Awful experience
Dont use this company, the 5x reviews must be their employees using trust pilot to drive the scores up. They don't help much, cancelling is a nightmare, you will find you are often 20%-30% better off to NOT use them and pay for your bills directly, they are unhelpful and charged our apartment for a time period we didn't even live there for (pre-move in). DO NOT use this company.

Overcharged and underserved
I was with Bunch for 12 months for energy and water. I left at the earliest opportunity and would not recommend them.
Pricing: When I signed up by phone, I specifically asked whether Bunch would cost me more than going direct with a supplier. I was told no. In reality, my standing charges were more than double the Ofgem Price Cap: 120p/day for electricity and 78p/day for gas, against Cap rates of roughly 57p and 29p. That's over £400 a year extra before using a single unit. Had I known, I would never have signed up. Their own T&Cs say they are "not a price comparison or money saving platform" and that "you are likely to find cheaper individual deals". Nobody mentioned that on my sign-up call.
My renewal quote for fixed rate energy was £237/month. I switched to a direct supplier on a 12-month fix at £173/month for the same usage, £768 a year cheaper. The renewal also added a new mandatory £20/month membership fee that wasn't part of my original contract.
Customer support: I made two enquiries in 12 months. Both took 26-28 days to get a meaningful reply. One was a request for a utility bill as proof of address. By the time it arrived, it was too late to use.
Account visibility: There is no way to see your balance or a bill in their portal. You cannot tell whether you are in credit or debit without contacting support, which takes nearly a month.
Cancelling: When I called to cancel my water service, I was told they don't issue cancellation confirmations as standard. I had to specifically request one. For a company that manages your household bills, that's a basic gap.
The pricing is opaque, the support is unacceptably slow, and the admin they promise to take off your hands creates more work than it saves. Do your own comparison before signing up. I wish I had.
Excellent service
Amaree dealt with my case and sorted out it very efficiently. I had issue with refund after final balance statement. Has responded in time and informed me that the problem has been solved. I am happy and grateful.
Absolutely Horrendous Customer Service…
Absolutely Horrendous Customer Service – Avoid at All Costs!
One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I never requested or authorised an energy plan, yet they went ahead and created one for me. When I contacted them to cancel it, they refused to process my cancellation and made the whole experience incredibly stressful and frustrating.
It is absolutely unacceptable to set up an energy plan that I never asked for and then deny me the right to cancel it. I feel trapped in a plan I never wanted, with no proper resolution or reasonable customer support.
The entire process feels unfair and completely unprofessional. Customers should not have to fight to cancel a service they never requested in the first place.
I am extremely disappointed with their service and the way this situation has been handled. I would strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with this company. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer care is appalling.

Very difficult to get through to customer support, phone lines busy, don't reply to email, no chat. When my issue is resolved i'll consider removing my review, sent a further email today.
Horrible customer service
The Bunch is an absolute scam and their customer service is horrible. I only signed up to it as it was recommended by my property manager, and now I am deeply regretting it. It's been 3 months and I still don't have wifi. First, it took them a month to actually send the router. Then, there's a fault on the line and I need an engineer to come look at it... Something that should be super easy to arrange, but it needs to be done via Bunch and they don't answer emails or phone calls, so I am rendered incapable of actually getting it booked. What's deeply frustrating is that it's something that could be resolved in a matter of minutes, yet they are entirely unresponsive. It makes me incredibly uneasy about what it's going to be like exiting the contract.
Payments not credited, then threatened with a CCJ
I’ve paid every instalment on time, including £104.86 on 27 August (higher because of an extra fee they added, which I paid over the phone), then £90.30 on 24 September and £90.30 on 7 October. I have bank proof of all of them.
What makes this more frustrating is that they already have my card details on file. They should be taking payments from my account automatically, yet I’ve been left to make each payment manually. I shouldn’t have to chase my own payments when they have everything they need to collect them.
Despite paying, I received an email claiming I owe £195.60, which is my two recent payments plus a £15 late fee. It threatened a County Court Judgment and a property visit with a £60 attendance fee, even though I’d paid. It looks like my payments simply weren’t allocated to my account.
I’ve sent them my evidence and asked for the balance to be corrected and recovery action paused. Be careful with this company, and keep proof of every payment you make. Threatening legal action over money that has already been paid is unacceptable.
