No spare parts

I tried reaching out to them about a spare part that I need, but they havn't ansewerd on my mail. Eather have they send the part to my local ternshop and it has been almost 6 months since I asked them to.

I cannot recomend Tern Bikes, if you don't want spare parts...

Poor quality accessories

About 6 months ago I bought a Tern bike and a Tern bag, I also bought a Tern Luggage Truss to attach this bag to the front of the bike. Everything was great until today when the Luggage Truss broke into 2 pieces during my commute to work and the bag fell on the road.

I was lucky that there were no cars or other cyclists around and the speed was low, so no one was hit by the bag and I didn't fall off the bike. My laptop survived it only because there was some clothing inside as well. After checking what was left of the truss, it became obvious that the welding was poorly done and I'm surprised how this design passed any stress testing (especially considering that I never used more than 1/2 of the max weight load claimed on their website).

Tern says "Built to last" and I hope my bike will last, but after this experience with their accessories, I'm not so sure.
