Filthy kitchen cupboards and drawers
Booked an end of tenancy clean when we received the keys for our new house as it had been empty for a while. Because we still had 2 weeks left on our notice period in our rental, we didn’t move in right away. However, when I was unpacking the kitchen I noticed there was lots of dirt and grime in the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. It hadn’t been cleaned at all, let alone deep cleaned. Despite contacting them with evidence, because my complaint was lodged after 7 days they said there was nothing they could do as it was beyond their complaint policy. I had planned to book them for the flat we were moving out of, but booked Good Old Clean who were much better and I would highly recommend.

For clarity, your booking with Tenancy.Cleaning was completed on 26 January 2026, and our complaint and re-clean guarantee requires any issues to be reported within 7 days of the service. Your complaint was submitted on 13 February 2026, which is 18 days after the cleaning, well beyond our policy timeframe.
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, a re-clean can only be arranged within the guarantee period. You also confirmed in your complaint form that you would not accept a complimentary re-clean, which is the only remedy offered under our policy.
We take cleaning standards seriously and always provide clients with the opportunity for a prompt re-clean if reported within the policy period. Unfortunately, because your complaint fell outside this period, we were unable to provide an alternative resolution.

Nesh and his crew arrived on time and were very friendly and easy to talk to. They did a fantastic job at my old property, and everything looked spotless and smelled fresh afterwards. I really appreciate the hard work they put in.

Excellent from start to finish. We booked online which was very easy and the prices were clearly broken down.
We needed a deep clean as we were moving out of our flat. Our cleaners (AC&C) were on time, polite, and friendly. Our landlord was very pleased with the result and had no complaints!

I recently booked them and paid £320 for a full end of tenancy clean. Firstly They showed up approx 3 hours late. Following the clean my estate agent went in to the property to check and rang me immediately to say how dirty the flat was and took nearly 30 photos of all the areas that had been missed. The clean was terrible, they missed a whole toilet, the oven, fridge / freezer, there was dust and dirt on the floor, window sills and sides. It was not even to the standard of a domestic clean. I complained on the Wednesday and as it was around 5/6pm I was told I had to wait till Thursday to hear back from the complaints department which would only be handled on email. Some of the areas I had complained about such as beds, bins and washing machine and dryer apparently were not included and you had to pay extra for this - how this is not a part of a the standard end of tenancy clean, especially beds when bedrooms are included makes no sense to me. I understand paying extra for a deep steam clean of mattresses, but a wipe down and vacuum should be standard. This is not how other companies I have worked with operate. They offered a re-clean, I originally accepted but had explained it would have to happen on Thursday due to my tenants moving in at 8.30am on Friday. They could only do this at 2pm on Friday I explained on 3 occasions this would not work. They also said the reason some surfaces had not been cleaned was because their Ts and Cs do not allow for items to be moved. As our apartment is fully furnished there are items in the property such as crockery in cupboards, microwave, kettle and toaster on the worktop. Apparently the reason for all the debris left on some worktops is because they would not move these items to clean around, which is ridiculous, given most flats in London are fully furnished these days. I asked for a 50% refund as I had to rebook with another company to ensure the flat was clean and ready for my tenants which cost another £360. They refused and said it went against their policy and offered 10% which quite frankly was insulting. Just really disappointed with the entire service from start to finish. Please avoid if you want to guarantee the job gets down properly first time round.

Items such as the washing machine, tumble dryer, bins, mattresses, and sofa deep clean were not included in the original booking and were quoted separately at your request.
2. Complimentary Re-Clean Offered: In line with clause 4.3 of our Terms and Conditions, the contractual remedy for any dissatisfaction is a complimentary re-clean. You initially accepted this remedy and requested availability for 12 February. The earliest operational slot we could offer was Friday 13 February at 14:00, due to our fully booked schedule.
3. Third-Party Cleaning Costs: You chose to instruct a third-party company before allowing us to carry out the agreed re-clean. Any additional costs incurred by doing so are not recoverable from Tenancy.Cleaning, as the original booking was completed to the agreed professional standard.
4. Timing & Access: Our team was ready to attend while your tenants were present; there was no requirement to reschedule the re-clean, and all areas included in the original scope were completed. Our Terms and Conditions also clarify that cleaners do not move personal items inside drawers or appliances for safety and liability reasons.
5. Goodwill Gesture: We offered a 10% goodwill refund as a commercial resolution, without admission of liability, which remained available to you.
We understand the urgency of end-of-tenancy timelines and sympathize with the pressure of tenant move-ins. However, the negative experience you describe does not reflect a failure of the services included in your booking. All contractual remedies were offered and documented, and the evidence shows that our team completed the agreed scope.
We encourage all prospective clients to review the Terms and Conditions prior to booking, as these define the scope of work and the remedies available in case of dissatisfaction.
