I experienced my first assignment on a credit spread. It was an awful feeling to wake up, turn on the computer and see my buying power at a negative 6 figures. I logged in, got into chat and Marc was able to talk me into taking the rope off and stepping down from the chair. Worked the problem (which was more of my anxiety and less about actual circumstances) Regardless of knowing (I spent hours on training) it was scary.
I really appreciate and value having access to such excellent customer support.
If you're on the fence about who your broker should be, look no further.

I've been trading for almost a decade on Fidelity and never realized how poor the experience was for retail traders. Tastytrade is such an incredible platform to use and works for the retail trader rather than against.
Then on top of that the support is incredible and educational resources are the best around. Tastytrade has changed how I trade for the better.

I was on the platform for over a year, during that time the prices in the option chain would randomly freeze, sometimes in the middle of a trade, scary stuff. I reported this to tech support multiple times, waited months, got the usual "we will look into it" and then nothing. It kept happening, sometimes the ticker would freeze too. I sent an email to the CEO who kicked it down to some manager who kicked it to their tech person, the same one i filed the ticket with that didnt feel that the prices freezing was a huge priority. After bringing this rudeness back up to the manager he sent it back to tech support who let slip that their linux client i was using was based on a framework that had become unsupported by its vendor and that they couldnt fix any of the problems with it if they wanted to without rewriting it.
I lost $,$$$'s because of their incompetence causing me to panic while my P/L froze but in reality was moving behind the scenes. As other reviewers have stated and i have related, customer service is atrocious, sometimes i would get this guy on the phone it sounds like he just got out of bed and was in a rush to get to highschool. This broker is a total clownshow. No apologies for shipping a broken linux client without disclosing the fact, no promise to fix anything, just absolute disrespect for their customer and for their field. The CEO should be fired and restaffed at a local McDonalds where he belongs.
P.S. Dont get lured in by their "$10 then free option trades", nothing is free, there is a reason every other broker charges $0.65 to roundtrip a contract. You pay when your go to buy or sell and the price is wildly out of line with what you are being shown in the option chain. I dont want to say what they are doing is illegal but it really appears that what they're doing is illegal. Since then i have moved to IBKR, pay full price for options and get my orders filled at exactly the price that is shown.

I have found that tasty trade on mobile is a little bit difficult to navigate but admittedly I have not done much trading on it. I had some questions about how to navigate on the site and some sign in issues. I called the customer support line and was talking with a life person within 5 minutes. The attendant did a great job explaining things to me and I could not be happier. I will be using my tasty tray platform more often in the future!
