They received payment for a product but never sent me a confirmation email. After I contacted them, they said they had not received any order, yet they kept my money. This is fraud.

I didn't get my order and refund
I didn't get my order. Probably was lost in transit. Then they said to keep waiting, I waited till the "deadline". Still didn't get my order. I requested a refund. They said it's going to take 10-14 business days for it to reflect back to my account. So, I waited. At the 14th business day I sent them another email, because I didn't get my refund. Then they said that THIS TIME the refund was successfully made, so I'll should wait another 10-14 days. Such a mess. I regret ordering from this site. Would not recommend. I can't believe that it is such a big company, seems so fraudulent to me after this incident.
Buyer beware! Thieves!!
This is my first time purchasing from Tarte, and I am extremely pissed off, and unimpressed. I use PayPal, and my debit card to make online purchases. I know my debit card information by heart (front and back), so ordering for me online is convenient. I was trying to get in on Tarte’s recent free shipping. I was able to make a few orders successfully, and receive order confirmations. Unfortunately my other order did not go through, due to them claiming my information was incorrect, I kept double checking my info, and trying to repurchase, it kept failing. I received no order confirmations, and was told to double check my information, yet I have 9 pending charges on my card, from orders that they claim did not go through. They obviously have a raggedy website, and need to invest some of the millions, if not billions of dollars that they have into it. How do you guys charge people’s cards, but claim that the information they entered is incorrect. Sounds like scammer vibes to me. Very disappointed, and this is definitely leaving a bad taste on my mouth. The website has the job of taking orders, and it can barely do that. Once the charges stop pending I will be contacting my bank to dispute the fraudulent charges. PATHETIC! Buy at your own risk

Quite expensive for what it is so I don't often buy tarte but the stuff I have bought has all been packaged well, nice quality - mascaras are a bit overrated but the foundation has been really nice

Damaged Item Received But Refunded Quickly
Was looking at horrible reviews here from Tarte and regretted ordering during the pandemic. However, to my surprise, the items were shipped very quickly from NY and didn't have to pay customs (I live in Ireland).
Unfortunately, the Tarteist Pro Glow palette was damaged. Was in touch with their customer service via chat, they were very helpful. Processed me a refund very quickly for the palette (they don't do exchanges/replacements for customers outside the US). I received the refund in 5 business days and even received a discount code.
Highly recommend! Would order again.
Amazing!
So I ordered the Tarte custom beauty kit, at first I panicked as there was nothing on the site to say this was coming from America (I'm in the UK) well it arrived today and honestly I am so so happy with the products and surprisingly there was no extra charges such a custom charges. Definitely ordering again!
Pleasantly surprised
Reading all these negative reviews, I was very sceptical about placing an order, but I really wanted to try some of their famous products so I decided to give it a go. Ordering on the website was very straight forward. I received the order confirmation via email immediately after placing the order and then just few days later also shipment update with tracking, so I was able to chcek where my package is (I live in UK). It arrived after 11 days from the order date, just 1 day later than estimated delivery! Now I just look forward to trying all the stuff. :) Thank you Tarte

The worst experience I have ever had
The worst experience I have ever had. Been waiting on my package to arrive for over six weeks, wasted so much time contacting customer service with absolutely no result or anything, they kept telling me to wait!... I then contacted the Carrier myself who then told me that the parcel was actually lost in transit few weeks ago and that Tarte should have been the one to notify me of this a long time ago, but instead they are insisting me "to keep waiting ". Very very disappointed with this company I never ever expected it of such a well known company. I'm still waiting on my refund, I wasted SO much time contacting tarte, customer service, is absolutely disgrace, useless and careless, absolutely no way I would order again from a company that doesn't know the definition of good customer service and steals people's money!
I’ve been using a tarte a few years…
I’ve been using a tarte a few years now. The products are fine but the customer service is absolutely abysmal. They genuinely do not have a clue and shouldn’t even there they can’t offer any help. Anyways I hadn’t used them in one 18 months (changed my make up to Charlotte tilsbury) I tried to place an order and it would not allow me to so i contact customer service for help she suggested I try again (for real) anyways about the 3/4 attempt they took my money but did not place any order. Once again customer service absolutely horrendous. In my end reporting it to my bank froze the funds their end and refunded me.

Same as everyone else. Daughter ordered over a month ago. No delivery. Customer service Don't reply to any contact. If they do they give you shipping numbers that don’t work. Currently contacting card company to get money back under fraud / theft. Literally shocking customer service and process from allegedly such a big company.

This was my first time ordering on the Tarte site, and it will be my last. I placed an order in the beginning of May, and did not receive a confirmation email despite the transaction appearing in my bank statement. I checked all my junk folders etc and then emailed Customer Services, who got back to me this week to say that this order was not successfully made. Their reasoning doesn't make sense as they had taken the money from my account. I'm really disappointed that such a well-known brand has a poor site and their Customer Service desk is not at all helpful. I hope Tarte finds the solution to all these people's issues, but until then, I won't be ordering from here again and I would urge everyone else to be mindful that this is happening to a lot of people.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I ordered 1 product a while ago, it costed me 30$. No big deal right? Wrong. They didn’t send me an email confirming my order, and only got back to me nearly two weeks after I sent in a complaint and accused me of not placing an order (but clearly I did because if I hadn’t they wouldn’t of had charged me through PayPal). I have yet to receive a refund nor an apology. Don’t waste your time, if you really want one of their products order it through Sephora.

I am reaching out in regards to your sale that happened about a month ago. As I am sure you are well aware that your payment processor was not working when many people were trying to put through orders. At the time when I tried to place my order it kept saying I was unable to but when I checked my Credit Card it seemed like the payment went through. Due to this I was extremely confused as to wether my order went through or not. So I decided to call you guys to only be put on hold for 1.5 hours+ and when I kept trying to call again the call kept dropping. I sent in an email and never heard back from your team and ended up having to place the order through with a friend which resulted in me unable to pick the colour I wanted since it was sold out by the time I was actually able to place the order. I now checked my phone bill and was informed that I have been charged $60 due to long distance calling to a company named "Tarte" in New York. I find this ridiculous as you were unable to assist and never once returned a call. As a customer this is frustrating and as a reputable makeup brand I find think obscured.

I was waiting for my order since 1st of April (over 6 weeks!!) and sent many emails, attempted “live chat” multiple times which only has a name “live” but in fact is not. Finally got a reply from them today that the package was lost in transit.. I suggest you (Tarte) don’t offer a free worldwide delivery if you cannot provide a proper courier company to deliver the shipments. It is not acceptable that you only issue a refund after 6 weeks and only after so many emails sent! Shameful! Never shopping from you again.

Such a shame I didn’t read all this reviews before ... I’m having the same issue as many people here. I placed my order six weeks ago and the parcel hasn’t arrived yet. The tracking number provided doesn’t help that much because it hasn’t been updated since the 6th April so 4 weeks ago. I keep sending emails to Tarte customer service every day but no one is replying. Their live chat is not working any more and no one is picking up the phone either. This is so frustrating and I hope all these reviews help people to realise of the bad attention this company is giving to their customers. AVOID!

Sure l was on hold for an hour but it's completely understandable since it is a popular brand and I feel as though they have very poor management.

Do not buy overseas products online, the shipping is atrocious and delays are fraudulent when you outlay so much money and do not receive what you ordered
People be aware if you are not in the US and order, you will pay upfront for your order and as l have just found out after nearly five weeks, the order is lost sorry, we will refund you the $200 you paid that we have in our account in another two weeks??? Seriously this is ridiculous, spend money in your own country, if you order online, order within the country you live in. These American companies take your money and do not deliver and then after you email them constantly as to where is my order they finally respond with oh sorry, it must be lost, we will issue a credit when it suits us in another two weeks!!!
