Sad to lose my safety net

Really unfortunate that this company is no longer able to continue lending out money. This was my safety net. I never actually needed it but was comforted that it was there to rapidly get ahold of cash and a sensible way to pay it back. Banks simply do not offer this type of service.

Cowboy company, avoid at all costs

Cowboy company! Avoid at all costs. Do your research this company has already gone into administration!
Been making repayments and they haven't been allocating it to my account. My guess the CEO is trying to pocket as much money as he can before they start picking apart the company to repay their debtors!

They have blocked access to my account so I'm unable to log in and keep sending me default letters even though I have proof of my repayments.

Also ignore messages and complaints.
Save yourselves the headache and avoid this company like the plague!! Bunch of fraudsters who are no doubt going to go under very soon

They call every month

If you want to be called early hours every month before your payment due date this is the company to go for. I did not miss any payments but they think they can call me and harras me every month to remind me I need to make a payment. I complained about it and they told me I will be getting the calls every month whether I like it or not. Any sort of important changes to my account though they do not need to call me, they can just email me instead. So why can't they to the same with reminders? This is harassment at best. Trying to put pressure on people needlessly. Should be ashamed.

so difficult to get help from this…

so difficult to get help from this company

i need a copy letter from tappily, as they uploaded it through their website on the 24th april, but failed to inform me of this. i found the letter yesterday, go to download it and it's a blank document.

i need a copy of this letter urgently but they can't just resend it, and can't tell you how long it will take for someone to simply forward the document. then they chase money from me, but i can't do anything until i have this letter.

if they had just sent the information by email or at least informed me i wouldn't be in this situation now. its so frustrating.

not the nicest of companies to deal with unfortunately.

What a joke

What a joke! Saying I owe them £35 when payments have all been made and show on my bank account. Trying to explain that payments applied for on 28 October show up on my account as being satisfied on 1 November was impossible! Communication is poor to the point of it being laughable! Now my credit file shows a none payment when that is not the case! Awful, 0 stars if it was possible! Your customer service is a joke!

Avoid this company.

avoid this company!
Have been using for a couple years with great experience…. Then they started giving me problems such as taking large amounts of money and restricting my account so that I couldn’t withdraw any money. Left me totally fooked one particular month taking £700 over 2 payments no more than 2 weeks apart. Ended up defaulting on other priority bills as a result. They rinsed my account and didn’t let me use the app to withdraw again.
After a million hrs on hold I got through to someone and explained the situation they have put me in, they sent me some money back but it was 4 days later and the damage was already done…Shame really as this was a good little line of credit for the average working man juggling life’s increasing cost of living.
Thanks Tappily for adding to the pressures of life.

I would give no stars if that would be…

I would give no stars if that would be possible! Ive been always using Tappily and was always having a good experience. Without a warning they now reduced my limit from £750 to £570 and again they are reducing on 9th of April from £570 to £380 and will leave me in financial difficulty!

DO NOT BORROW FROM THEM!

Company really helped me when I needed…

Company really helped me when I needed that extra bit of money. Loved the fact it took payments easily by monitoring your bank when they noticed an increase rather than falling on a difficult date where money could or couldn’t be available. This company can really help genuine customers.

Unauthorised payments

Tappily Recently taken a payment of £75 which was affordable for me however 4 days later I was shocked to find out they’d taken another unauthorised payment of £180 draining me of money leaving me with nothing to pay bills or to buy food which has now got me into a lot of problems. The worse part is they most likely won’t reimburse me the unauthorised £180. They take more money in such a short timeframe than they’re allowed to.

Reply from Tappily

Dear Orlando,

Thank you for taking the time to review Tappily.

We are eager to investigate the matter raised in your review.

However, in order for us to do so we will need some details to identify your account, these details have been requested privately through Trustpilot.

Once we receive the relevant information, one our Customer Care agents will get in contact to assist you.

While we wait for your response, we would like to take the opportunity to explain how our repayment system works in more detail.

One of the features of Tappily, which makes our service unique, is that we do not have a set repayment date and our facility is best viewed as a revolving credit facility.

This means if you wish to withdraw funds again after a repayment has been made, you simply log into your dashboard at any time and request however much you need to borrow, within your credit limit. These funds are then deposited into your bank account, usually within 15 minutes.

When the repayments are made, the sum that is taken as a repayment is divided proportionately between the money borrowed (principal) and the amount of interest that has accrued. This will then release funds that you will be able to re-borrow if required. There is no obligation to re-borrow after making a repayment, but the option is there, subject to our ongoing affordability checks and your credit limit.

Tappily repayments are designed to be taken automatically to minimise the length of time a balance is outstanding and to save you interest. If, after a payment comes into into your account (your salary, for example), you have enough available balance to make a repayment, our system will apply for up to 50% of your calculated disposable income. We will only attempt for repayments up to this defined value in one calendar month. Once this limit has been reached, no further automatic repayments will be taken.

However, if this has left you in any difficulty and would like further assistance,, please call us on 0808 169 4927 or chat with us via our live chat facility, this is available from our website, www.tappily.co.uk.

Our phonelines and chat service are open Monday to Friday between 8am - 7pm and Saturdays 9am - 5pm.

Alternatively, email us at reviews@tappilymail.co.uk

Kind regards,
