This company is a example of government regulation in the wrong place. They look at your personal financial information, without consent, and decide whether they agree with how you make your money. I was refused service and refunded my investment 30days later. They applied a hold to account they closed. I owned legal cannabis businesses. This is what we want to get away from with decentralized funds. Don't support this company. If you do your supporting government regulations being applied to all our crypto. The dollars value is falling now government wants to screw up crypto. Update to reply: this is a lie. The law does require you to look that's the first problem. The second is companies like this have a choice to allow you to do business. The laws doesn't have you become cops. That is a choice for every bank and financial institution. Not a requirement. That's why you close accounts without talking to your customers. You've become police. I sold cannabis businesses yr and a half ago and still receiving same treatment from institution like this. Closed accounts for being a suspected Pryor legal cannabis business owner. That's calling me a criminal without a trial. So to reiterate these type companies invade your privacy, accuse and close your accounts without one conversation with you. Then carry out there punishment without any proof of thier never stated accusations. Then want to lie and say they support crypto. They support government controlled money that can be stolen from the consumer through criminal laws and regulations. Support crypto and blackball these un-American government controlled companies.

They frozen my funds because of a failed payment, they didn't give me any way to remedy the failed payment except by contacting them, when I contacted them, they just canceled my account, left my funds frozen and won't respond to my messages. I have $50 in BTC on their platform and $-12 in cash so overall they stole money from me.

Wanted to update my review.
Problem(s):
-Account was changed to "withdraw only" and I was not able to purchase anything following Swan's transition to a new custodian (Bakkt).
-Daily buy limit lowered once service resumed.
1/27/25 -First wrote to Swan about the problem.
3/11/25 -Finally able to start buying again.
In the 43 days in between, there were multiple emails back and forth between this writer and several different people. It seemed that parts of the problem would get resolved but I would have to reach out again and again for final resolution. The representatives were professional but in those 43 days, I saw a rise in the price of approx. 13K. That was disappointing.

Jason Bassett helped me get my BTC IRA going and he was incredibly helpful. He was always quick to respond to emails, made sure all my questions were answered, and went the extra mile to ensure the process went smoothly. Can't thank you enough Jason!

Why did Swan along with Fortress trust steal Bitcoin out of my account? They did this to all their customers. What kind of company does this? Millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin were stolen from our accounts and that's Not ok!! Be careful dealing with this company!

Like the first review i looked at titled "Don't use swan bitcoin" , i 100% agree. I have done many transactions in cryptos but there's is the worst! Support was dismal and not helpful when i had to reinstall 2fa. It also seems the first reviewer had the same support person help him-Conor. Use at your own risk!!!
I received an email from trustpilot that swan needed some more information so they could maybe help me.
I would say again i have used many wallets but do not use 2fa on any that i use now so my experience with it is almost zero. When trying to get it working the instructions were missing and no help from you conor.

I'm a 60 year old male cancer patient. I never used the app or Google authenticator. Everything i tried to switch from the authenticator app back to the swan app I had to start over. I'm not very tech savvy. Your company closed my account. Your CSR Conor refused to listen and just kept saying your account is closed. I asked about getting my money back and was informed I had to wait 2 months. My question is why do I have to wait? And is your company paying interest on my highjack funds. It doesn't take 2 months for any transaction to clear.

Love the service, but the emails of confirmation of a buy should be a bit more complete then just a link to the account. Including the amount purchased, the amount paid, and any fees would help a ton in tracking.

Super easy to set up and use, especially for a newbie like myself.

Everything is great so far. My only complaint is that I have a daily purchase limit and when I contacted support to ask why it was there and if the limit could be removed, I got a message saying that there was heavy volume and they wouldn’t be able to get back to me for 1 to 2 business days. That was on a Friday, so I’m stuck with the limit over the weekend.

Maybe one of the easiest transactions I’ve been apart of in quite some while. Easy like 1,2,3. Glad someone has made the purchasing simple to achieve.
