Service finance company placed a lien…

Service finance company placed a lien against my property, property that I own, for debt a tenant incurred. Leaving aside the host of reasons that’s not legal certainly not ethical. That’s not my main reason for writing a review.
In order to have this lien removed, I would have to go through a legal system that cost money significant amount of money for what should be a relatively straightforward and simple process rather than invest that money in a lawyer. I thought I would make a good faith effort to just pay the debt even though it is not mine and move on.
This company is impossible to deal with. I’ve spoken with several employees who refused to help me actually pay their company. It’s truly amazing. It is hard to pay them. Over the last 20 days I’ve made contact with dozens of employees requesting a way a method to pay a debt that he’s not mine. No one has been able to help. In case that company cares I’ll list their names at the bottom of this review.
Every one of these people I’ve spoken to one of these people has refused to help me pay your company:
John McDonald 2 phone calls 6 emails
Guda Kamalanadha Reddy 4 emails 1 response (she forwarded my request to John McDonald)
Kameshia Chester 3 emails 2 phone calls no response
Every single operator I’ve spoken to when I called daily cannot help and does not know where to direct me to pay.
I don’t know how somebody invest in a company that has a management who allows employees to not allow the company to collect money. Truly, it’s amazing.
Not my debt, apparently not your problem.
I spoke to a lawyer today it’s gonna cost me about $5000 to remove a debt. That’s not mine, it’s gonna cost me time.
It’s gonna cost your money and your investors because you can’t help and you’re incompetent

STAY AWAY, AT ALL COSTS, FROM THIS VINDICTIVE LENDER!!

If I could give this company a negative 100, I would. Literally the worst company to have a loan with. Several years ago I had to have my roof replaced. Single mom here, not a lot of experience with major home repairs or a lot of free time. I called a company who was using this lender. They overcharged me for the roof, paid over $6,000 more than market. My credit is high seven hundreds always has been- until they began their unprofessional nonsense/power trip. This company refuses to allow me to set up automatic payments & constantly threatens me with reporting negative information on my credit report, and they always try. I then need to take the time to file disputes & get the negative marks/lies removed. Recently they even sent me a letter stating they couldn’t give me credit. Huh? I never asked them for credit and never would. Its like there are petulant children running that horrific company. What gives? Again today, another mark on my credit report with false information. They get their money, always. Why must they be such vindictive shts? If I didn’t care about my credit I would default just to prove a point. In short, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS FROM THIS VINDICTIVE LENDER!!

Payment Issues

My bank sent a check on thr 31st of the month and it wasn't processed until the 8th on the following month. I ended up putting a stop payment on the checks. The employees who answer the call are no help.

Inappropriate Customer Service

I reached out in response to inappropriate customer service from one of their agents by the name of Kay. While trying to make a principal payment only, she refused to allow me to speak to a manager. After several attempts, she states that there was no manager available, and she could not provide a name of such a person on site. In addition, she stated that I was the problem and that she would not take my payment over the phone.

Our AC company service wizard does give…

Our AC company service wizard does give us a year promotional offer with service financial for payment towards HVAC. Very disappointed with their customer service. I was on automatic payment with my bank and made 12 payments per agreement. I had one last payment that came in late because of autopay setup and when I called the costumer service they initially agreed to waive it and close the account. When I called in today to verify it’s closed, they reopened the case and said it was their mistake by waving the fees and now I owe them with interest. Very disappointing experience. A mistake from their management

Servicer’s inappropriate attitude on the phone

I truly had a bad experience with Shane - his poor phone manners when he took my question ( re : if I would have to pay back the said 100 dollars at any time ) as a refusal of the offer and his curt “ let’s get on with it “.He made a final comment in that he didn’t need me ( I’m paraphrasing) .

If you’re a contractor considering…

If you’re a contractor considering using Service Finance, read this carefully.

We’ve generated over $700,000 in financed projects through their platform, so this is not coming from a small or inexperienced account.

On or around March 16, Service Finance received a third-party notice that was not a court order or garnishment. No communication or restriction was provided to us.

Applications continued to be approved after that date. Based on those approvals, we completed two installations in good faith.

Only after the work was completed were we informed that funding would not be released.

Let that sink in—customers were approved, work was completed, and the contractor was not paid.

We were then put in the position of having to contact our own customers to explain what happened. That is not only disruptive to operations, it is embarrassing and damages trust that we work hard to build.

When we raised the issue, the focus was placed on whether we were “aware” of the situation instead of addressing why approvals were allowed to continue without any notice.

This is the risk: approvals can still go through, you perform the work, and then funding can be withheld after the fact.

If that is how the process works, contractors should be clearly notified and approvals should not continue under those conditions.

Due to this experience, we will not be using Service Finance moving forward—even if this situation is resolved—and other contractors should think carefully before relying on them.

"We'll Fix It" in San Antonio, Tx

I did business with "We'll Fix It" in San Antonio, Tx.
They added $400.00 to the agreed upon price.
They fool you with a text/phone call when the work is completed asking if the work is finished without revealing the final price. I texted back that yes, the worker is finished
It came with a finance plan.
They sold the finance plan to Service Finance Co.
SFC can't get a rating from the BBB for their sleazy ways.
SFC sells your info too anybody and everybody.
I've been slammed with scam phone calls, texts, and emails.
SFC has already screwed up my payments

This is a nightmare to payoff my loan

This is a nightmare to payoff my loan. It took me almost a month to pay off my loan because they would not process my payment. I had to send payment through my bank because service finance will not process payments through their website. Stay away from this company.

Very stressful experience

Worst experience ever!! I saw that my account was showing incorrect amount so called the representative And he confirmed that’s an error and 0% promotional offer still active. I paid off all loan amount but was later told promo ended early and I owe extra charges. I never received notification about promo ending and portal was not updated either. I kept on following up multiple times by filing complaints which got closed without any resolution. Ended up paying lot of extra money to get this account closed as it was causing lot of stress.

ding our card with a hard check THEN increase the rate?

While buying a water softener system from Leaf home water solutions is a great improvement the practice of doing a hard credit check and dinging our credit score with an approval coming with a much-increased interest rate and monthly payment AFTER the check seems like a scam to lock you in to more than you want to pay. I am considering canceling before installation because we have excellent credit with NO missed payments for many years and to jump the rate from 7.99 to over 11 percent is an unreasonable act. If we had poor credit I could accept it or if it was a small percentage increase but this is too much. I still want the system but am probably going to cancel and get a better finance rate on our own before purchase.

To Service Finance,

To Service Finance,

My name is Deborah Durham, and I own a home here in Texas. I hired Service Finance Company to come in and remodel my master bathroom to accommodate my late husband, Lord rests his soul! Since I lost James in 2022, I have really been struggling to make it be that I have had to battle depression and had very little interest in doing things that I once enjoyed doing, like riding my Harley trike. So, this affected me in all aspects of my life. I was withdrawn at work and had put a lot of thought into retiring, and I did at the age of 68 which was 4 years ago for me. I felt like since I had a small nest egg saved up as an emergency fund that I would get my SSI and I would be fine financially, however this was absolutely not the case at all.

God uses me as a vessel, and I am happy to be a servant of the Lord, but here lately I have had situations that have come about and a few people have needed a place to stay and they all have heart changing stories that make you wish you could do anything to change their situation but sadly all of these people have no monetary income whatsoever, and some of them have turned out to be complete freeloaders leaving me overextended in all aspects of my life.

With every dark cloud or "dark situation" you have to be able to find one positive thing or what some would call "silver lining" to take with you out of every dark situation we might encounter. God has pulled me through some tragedy recently and I am finally starting to see some financial progress. I am going to be able to resume paying service finance as I had originally intended to.

Even with my delinquency Service Finance Company, LLC has still remained so patient with my and is discounting my overall bill by 20%. That is truly such a blessing for me, and I am so grateful that they have stood by me this whole time. It's great to see companies that will really go the extra mile to maintain good rapport with their clients no matter what. Big thanks once again to you guys.

Very Respectfully

Deborah Durham

Sorry just send me instructions don’t make rude remarks especially when you’re helping people with something as personal as finances

Where to begin?

Where to begin? I'll do bullet points to keep it short but suffice to say WORST PAYMENT COMPANY EVER!

> phone payments are not doable (in spite of them saying they are) because they ask for a "9-digit routing number" which is not provided on the paper bills.

> spoke to a person (Mark) who seemed to have no idea what he was doing or what a routing number is. Ended up just saying goodbye and trying the website.

> Website won't even let you log in.

Did not process payment

My bank sent a payment on 1/26; the check arrived on 1/30 and payment was due on 2/3. Since it’s the first time paying the company, my bank sent a paper check instead of electronic transfer. It has been three business days since the check was received and SCF still has not posted it to my account. My best assumption is the people who work there are incompetent and they are trying to make people pay late fees based on their own incompetence. Suggest getting a loan anywhere else!

Forced loan to contractors for work undone

I hired a company NRG Remodeling to do work,I informed Service Finance Company per contract the work is not done,on multiple occasions and was told to not release the money until contract are finished and they said ok,we have that complaint of file and contact them when work is finished, we'll I received a payment from svcfin. I called and they said they forced the loan through without my signature, now the company is not communicating with me. And the work is not done. Technically it's my money on hold to pay them, now you want me to pay you for work they didn't finish.

This company is horrible

This company is horrible! I have attempted to pay off this account 3x. Got a payoff amount in November, company would not accept electronic payment, we to the bank to have them directly send payoff, Service would not accept that either. We mailed the certified check, signature required return slip. It arrived the next day according to my postal receipt. It sat on someones desk for a week before it was applied to our account. Got a new statement in December saying we still owed $3000 more. Paid that off. So now January, I get a new statement for $30.40 as a balance. Where did that come from since I already paid the account off twice. The person at Service Finance said "I can take your payment now over the phone" NO WAY! I'm reporting them to BBB. Bad and unfair business practices
