Sussex Pond Doctor are a competent reliable Company whose upmost concern is for welfare of your aquatic life.
A liner repair; cleanse and plant repotting has given an enhanced visual effect to my pond, resulting in happy healthy fish. I recommend them and would use again .

Well organised and hard working through the record breaking heatwave. I can’t praise Russell and Scarlett highly enough for their efforts and a great result with a beautifully refurbished pond.

Our 30 year old pond & waterfall was leaking & showing its age. Many punctures in the pond liner caused by a heron made it irreparable, the waterfall was giving us a lot of work & we really didn’t know what to do with it. Sussex Pond Doctor came to the rescue! Doug & Russell came up with some great ideas of how to avoid future leaks & alternatives to the waterfall which we took forward. They relined the pond which involved removing & replacing some large retaining rocks, no easy task! Work was undertaken thoroughly, professionally & respectful of property. They also gave us some useful advice on maintaining the pond going forward. We are delighted with the outcome & have no hesitation in recommending Sussex Pond Doctor.

We only have a small pond but Doug and Scarlett did a brilliant job giving this a complete overhaul, looking after the wildlife and giving us really helpful advice about how to maintain things in the future. Communication with Doug was excellent and would definitely use SPD again if needed. Would highly recommend.

These guys made what was in my head a very complex task look relatively easy!
It wasn’t easy, but the precision, knowledge and their total expertise made it appear so.
The pond was drained, the fish were very carefully handled and moved to a holding tank, filled with their own water, the pond was jet washed and a meticulous survey was undertaken of the liner.
As was suspected some damage was found and expertly mended, but that wasn’t it, upon undertaking these repairs further damage was found that could have very easily have been missed.
The pond was refilled with their own water, the fish were returned safely and the pond was prepped safely for quite a large amount of new water to be added.
The help, advice and step by step information provided to me whilst this was all being undertaken was superb.
After each piece of equipment had been used it was cleaned and removed from the area, there was no mess at all afterwards, it was like nothing had ever happened and they had never even been here, the only sign left of their attendance was that I wasn’t having to top up my pond anymore due the overnight loss of water from the damaged liner!
I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, the service provided was impeccable and all was done in a very professional, polite and courteous manner.

I am delighted with my extended wildlife pond. . Doug and Russ provided a quality service and were friendly and professional throughout. The design evolved as the project progressed with Doug having lots of good ideas to improve the landscaping and make the most of existing materials. This included building a lovely rockery with the spoil and spare rocks from the old pond. On completion the site was left clean and tidy and much to my relief , the project started and finished on time and on budget. In summary an excellent team and an beautiful finished pond and rockery. I would definitely recommend Sussex Pond Doctor.

Doug came to check an old, slow pond filter that wasn’t working well, and the pond was inundated with blanket weed. He made various suggestions to remedy this and we opted for a replacement filter with an auto-clean function. The work was completed efficiently and Doug made improvements to the layout of the filter and pipe work to make it easier to hide them with plants. He communicated clearly throughout regarding the order, and made us a video of the operation of the filter so that we can refer back to this regularly. Doug also made helpful recommendations regarding the health of the pond and the balance of plant life. Doug has added us to his client list for an annual check to ensure everything is working well, which is reassuring. Very happy with the advice given and the quality of the work, I would highly recommend Sussex Pond Doctors.

I am overjoyed with my new wildlife pond! Doug and Russell spent four days transforming my old eyesore of a pond into a wildlife haven. They carefully took 40 plus newts and pond creatures out the existing pond along with the existing water and silt to help ensure the pond creatures did not feel too disturbed.

Doug designed the most beautiful pond and included stunning driftwood, a beautiful pebble beach area, a Yorkstone wall for animals to hide in and sloping edges to for easy access to amphibians etc.
It was a big investment for me and I was nervous but Doug's communication was great and the final result surpassed my expectations. The quality of the work is outstanding.

In good weather and bad the pair did an exceptional job including removing bamboo as part of their service and using some of the excavated clay to level the garden in other places.

They navigated tricky access as I have a shared drive and kept my neighbours informed and updated if they needed access to the drive.

Doug and Russell were friendly, kind and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to find expert pond restorers who really understand how to work with nature rather than sanitise it. Each time I go out there and see the new pond, a huge wave of happiness and a deep sense of calm washes over me. I cannot wait to see how the how the pond develops over the next few months.

Doug and team carried out an efficient clearance of our pond, emptying it out, reducing overgrown plants and carefully restoring the fish to their habitat. Would certainly recommend and use again.

This is an excellent company, very well organised and efficient with really pleasant and skilled staff who are a pleasure to have at one’s home. Russell did a superb job spring cleaning my pond after the winter.

The contractors were very clean and efficient and helpful. They made a great job of making over our little pond installing a new lining with a fountain, waterfall and lights. It was a lot more involved than I had imagined and they did a wonderful job or laying back the flagstones in an artistic way and supplying decorative shingle and it looked better than it did before. They worked very hard.

They have transformed our pond and it is now a special feature of our garden. They did all this in awful weather, rain and snow, but were always cheerful and helpful. They were very reliable and tidy. We would happily recommend them as true professionals.

Doug and Russell came to restore my overgrown spring feed wildlife pond, and the results have been great. From the initial assessment to the final clean-up, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and environmentally sensitive. They carefully relocated f newts, beetle and dragon fly nymphs while working hard to removing excess vegetation that was strangling the pond, trying to limit disruption to the pond’s ecosystem.
Communication was clear throughout, and I look forward to the ongoing visist to ensure we keep on top of pond health as to ensure a healthy and thriving ecosystem.

Great Job. Communication was very good and Doug very helpful with arrangements. Russell came to our house and did an excellent and thorough job sorting out our pond and plants. Plants were trimmed back and some re-potted, Russell was also able to give some good advice about ongoing maintenance and care.
