Don't get caught to this scam "Super Prof" they says sweet stories to make you believe that you can access unlimited tutors during the month you obtain the student pass eg. Canadians pay $49 per month to access private tutors (you simply can get accessto private tutors free from social media now) so why you pay Super Prof money every month? In my typical case almost all tutors location showed one particular address closer to my home, as I wanted to learn a foreign language one on one basis if not face to face to learn with confidence & faster but not online. Every tutor I requested for one trial class refused or rejected as per the messages sent me by Super Prof. It doesn't take much time to realize this is a scam fake and untrustworthy money rip off business. Never ever use your credit card to pay them what so ever bottom line is dont pay a penny. Now the technology is very advanced and developed you can easily learn anything free of charge on social media platforms why you need to give your hard earned money to fake super prof if you forget to cancel the student pass they keep on charging to your credit card or whatever the means of payment method you choose from. Student Pass is a trick make you feel to believe that you're getting assistance from super prof to achieve your learning trust me it's not, stay away from super prof Don't repent latter.

I have sent you many emails about my situation, but unfortunately I haven't received any actual help.
I cancelled the subscription immediately on the same day. This proves I was misled and didn't want the service. My bank advised me to resolve this directly with you.

Ive been charged 139 dollars in a month first with a 86$ charge then a 49$ charge I've not even paid for lessons yet

This is a very useful program for making the connections between Student and Tutor. Nearly all features are effective.
Yet one issue is that the login process is convoluted- wouldn’t an app be more convenient?

My first student signed up within two days of me signing up as an instructor! I did nit expect that at all. My second student signed up but she was 1000 miles away and she wanted to do an in person class, since I teach advanced sewing techniques. She understood.

I love this platform, and I think it is very helpful for students to reach exactly the kind of instructor they need.

The tutor I reached out to was not suitable (did not have the qualifications), did not live in my geographical area despite the website stating the tutor did, and had minimal availability. Despite this, I was still charged a $49 fee for a service I did not use. This is substandard service that does not meet students' needs but instead takes advantage of students seeking an appropriate tutor with the right qualifications.
Their business model is that students on the platform pay $49 a month to contact potential tutors (with no guarantee they will find one). That's $588 a year just for networking. Definitely not student-focused.
The customer service representative was condescending and not at all helpful. I was looking for a solution, and instead I received screenshots of their payment policy.

Charged an extra month fee in spite of submitting cancellation

What made my experience great as a tutor on Superprof was the autonomy and direct relationship with students. Unlike some teaching platforms that act as a strict middleman, Superprof gave me control over my profile, my rates, my schedule, and, most importantly, my teaching methodology. I could truly tailor lessons to each individual student without a one-size-fits-all corporate script. This freedom allowed me to build genuine mentor relationships and see my students thrive through personalized attention, which is the most rewarding part of teaching.

Really opened my horizons and showed me how much I can help others!

Damilola is an Amazing Teacher for my granddaughter who need a lot help in Math 10.
My granddaughter always hate Math but Damilola knows exactly how to handle her.
She’s making progress and hopefully Dami will turn her around the way she felt about Math. She did not want any help at all! But after meeting Damilola she change her mind and she really like her and feel comfortable and happy to get the help she desperately need it.

It was easy to find a Qi Gong teacher through your website.

It is a good platform for findign teachers

A lot of tutors in there are not honest about the amount they charge, and the fee that the website charges monthly is too much for its purpose.

I have used the platform previously and it was great but now they pre charge your credit card for any session booked - whether or not the tutor shows up. And they don't even require the tutor to confirm that they attended. I booked two sessions and neither tutor showed up. I sent screenshots of my messages with the tutors, showing that each tutor confirmed that they no showed me - and was told no refund because I waited over 24 hours to submit the complaint. It's outrageous that the bonus is on me to advised within 24 hours. It is reasonable to assume that the tutor must confirm they attended - and for them to have to return money they received when they confirm that they did NOT attend.

Excellent service

It's a scam. There were a lot of little hello flags that I disregarded along the way that in hindsight were red flags.

1) the pictures of the "teachers" were heavily edited and looked like they were generated by AI.
2) the profile of the "teacher" I selected indicated that I could do sessions at their home but when I reached out to them they only did online sessions
3) when communicating with the "teacher " via the app there was alot of pressure to so a session quickly, not taking into consideration my schedule.
4) when I joined the first lessons "Free demo" I was met by this East Indian woman who told me my "teacher" was suddenly "unavailable". It was "last minute". He never reached out to me to reschedule on the app. She was offering to assist in finding me a match.
5) they make you pay upfront for "access" to the teachers.

To be honest I don't think my "teacher" ever existed. This would make sense from their perspective. They show you lots of potential teachers in your area that may or maybe real. Build trust. Make you feel like the $50 you pay will be fine because there are so many teachers to chose from. But it's a illusion. I feel like they rope you into a membership to help you "find" a teacher but they cancel last minute, in the hopes that you will continue to pay the monthly fee.
It's a smart scam. They tow the rope of what is "legal".
