Only just set this up
Only just set this up, but thankfully it was all done online, took less than 10 minutes, and I didn't need to speak to someone trying to sell me stuff I didn't want. So far so good.

My experience of taking out a plan, June 2026.
I phoned Sun Life on 29th June 2026 to take out a plan and I think the person I spoke to was called Gareth. He was very polite and not "pushy" and I decided to go ahead and take out a plan. I believe the advice he gave me was very good and he didn't mind having to repeat things if I hadn't heard him properly the first time, or if I wanted him to clarify something. I would say that my experience on the phone was excellent.

We issue all policy documentation in printed format through the post as standard, and you should receive these within 10 working days from taking out your policy.
Should your documents still not arrive with you over the coming days, then you will need to contact Customer Service on 0800 008 6060, Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, to verify your details and arrange a reissue of the documents.
