My past experience of solicitors, possibly blinkered, has always been quite frosty, but this was far from the case in dealing with Liz’s team.
All of Liz, Jan and Sami were a breath of fresh air, very friendly, courteous and approachable and above all very professional.
They were very patient and gave me plenty of time to fully explain issues, when at times I was initially failing to digest the implications of more crucial matters.
When time became a factor for the exchange of contracts, Liz played a prominent role in pushing things along between other solicitors in the chain, to achieve that critical completion date.

Good points, quick reply for working 3 days a week.
Bad points, because they couldn't find my medical records, made me feel like a scammer. Even though I had the car park receipts for my attendance. Very poor on out of pocket expenses, down over a thousand pounds.

Fantastic experience handled professionally and promptly
Anna made this whole experience as stressful as it was more manageable and explained through things thoroughly, I would highly recommend step legal as they offer something unique which you don't find with many solicitor firms, a person centred approach to resolving issues you will have.
I know of other people who have had to deal with a long drawn out process with their claim going with other solicitors whilst I feel mine was managed very promptly & professionally...

Outstanding service from Liz Mayer team on property purchase
My partner and I instructed Step Legal Solicitors in Stoke-on-Trent for our recent property purchase. As first-time buyers, we were dealing with a complicated transaction that involved leasehold, shared ownership, and a deed of variation.
Liz Mayer was outstanding throughout the entire process. Her attention to detail is excellent; she identified errors in the lease that had been missed by all other previous parties.
Despite the complexity of the purchase, we reached completion in just 10 weeks, due to Liz’s efficient workflow and her willingness to actively chase other parties to prevent delays. She prepared everything in advance to ensure we were ready as soon as the paperwork allowed.
Liz was entirely transparent and honest, keeping us informed at every stage so we knew exactly how to assist. She was also very reassuring, taking the time to answer our many questions as new buyers.
Her team were just as excellent - they were always friendly and quick to respond. On the occasion that we needed to speak to the team on the phone, we were never left on hold, and would talk to a human within seconds of dialing.
With the complexities of this purchase, and with us being first-time buyers, I had expected nothing but stress. However, the service that we were provided took all of our stress away, and made for a smooth transaction.
I cannot reccomend Step Legal and Liz Mayer enough. Our expectations were excelled at every stage, and we will certainly be using Step Legal in the future.
