I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Statista. Last year, I subscribed without knowing that the payment for the entire year would be charged upfront—instead of the expected $119, they withdrew $1,461.24 from my account. I decided not to dispute it, but a year later, when the subscription automatically renewed, I received an invoice for the same amount. In response to my requests for partial payment and account deactivation, Statista refused and demanded full payment, threatening legal action. The subscription terms on their website are not transparent, and they offered no flexible solutions. This has left me with a very negative impression.

A Statista page linked to from Google search says, 'Register for a free account' to see the research 'Source' information, which I did. However they then asked me to upgrade to premium to actually see the source. This is a deceptive practice and their research statistics pages should not be ranked highly in Google. Research data without an easily available and clear source has no validity.

Totally worthless, they charge way too much for data you can get for free other places. I went through the motions to get a free account but still hit paywalls to view the most basic data. Save your budget and seek alternatives elsewhere.
The support team responded swiftly and was helpful in guiding me to resolve the challenge I raised.

I joined Statista for a year because the stats looked useful and the initial subscription was reasonable.
However I soon realised the stats were largely taken from public websites - but showed much less detail than the originals.
And they were usually well behind the official stats - suggesting Statista doesn't update very regularly.
I didn't want to pay for outdated data and so decided not to renew but Statista auto-renewed and significantly increased the subs without any prior warning. This is disrespectful and a terrible approach to customer retention!
I would strongly recommend staying well away from this company.

As a statistician, I think this site is unserious and untrustworthy. Also, I find their business method offensive and unproductive. I spend more time dodging lame sales tricks on their homepage than getting access to valid statistics. Useless, definitely on my shitlist.

I found some weird data, inconsistent with data from a reliable analysts cabinet. So I was curious about the origin.
However, to view the origin, you need to "register for free".
So, I created a free account and I was bugged all the time with nagging "upgrade popups".
They don't create their own data. Just scavenge without checking.

Statista offers the opportunity to access market, political, economic, and other numerous data in most of the country in every format either in CSV format, PDF, or PPT. The search button helped a lot to elicit the data I required.

I terminated my Statista account a while a go since did not see the additional value in paying (~1K€) for the usage of data that is freely available.
However, termination process was not as smooth as one could expect. Without going to details, I can confirm many of the other experiences mentioned in the Trustpilot reviews are accurate including cancellation form that does not actually work and using a law firm Anwaltskanzlei Conrad to intimidate.
I can just say that I have never encountered such a hostile company during my whole career.

I recently purchased a Starter Account from Statista for 1,609.20 USD, expecting immediate access to a wide range of content. Unfortunately, I was unable to access any of the advertised free information. I contacted their customer service within 24 hours of purchase and followed up several times, including reaching out to their team in Germany. Despite these efforts, I received no response or resolution to my issue. This experience has been highly disappointing, highlighting a lack of effective customer support and failing to meet the promised service standards.

The cancellation period is six weeks prior to the end of the subscription. Signed up for a free account. Was sent a random email from the sales team with what looked like an invoice. Clicking on this then wanted to redirect me to another service. All the hallmarks of a phishing email. The Statista sales team told me it was a 'presentation I might be interested in' aka a sales pitch no doubt. Fine, but work on your comms strategy as your emails look like SPAM and make me wonder if my account has been compromised. I closed my account. Avoid.

Misleading and not to the level of B2B expectations: beware that the subscription will be be renewed automatically without any notice and with no retraction possibility nor customer care.
You don't have a contract document or information on the invoice of the renewal and cancellation policy of this company, no proactive information neither. Just when you call an answer about "it's in the conditions that you acknowledge at the moment you subscribe that you should ask for cancellation 6 weeks before the automatic renewal (= 1 year ago), we don't have the ressources to inform customers". @statista: if you don't have the ressources to provide a B2B normal service like proactive information, then I don't recommend you for B2B customers. Practices of this company are under the B2C level, with invoice amounts of multiple hundreds (>700 EUR).
Quality of information does not worth it, @Any B2B or marketing professional passing by these reviews: don't subscribe.
