They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Very patient and was always courteous. Made the process very easy!

Fraudulent business practices very misleading don't trust them. They tell lies taking people's money and won't give it back called me and said they are with GoDaddy and they are not. Still haven't received my refund but they have called me several times to take down my review. Telling me if they give me the money back can I take the review down.

They keep charging you no matter what and as others have noted they offer NO way to simply cancel. I used to think they were all right, but now I think they are not the people to use. What a shame companies use these sneaky tactics.

Fast and Easy! My website had been down for over a week and he got my site up and running right away. Phew! Was also way less expensive than my web person would have cost.

Ryan took the phone call and spent 45 minutes making sure the certificate was installed on a remote session. Very professional and knowlegeable.

They don't know what they are doing, somehow we started using them instead of GoDaddy, and its taking days to get SSL which means i am down for days.

I was a surprised to get a call from the SSLguru rep who let me know that our SSLs had expired. I could go into a lot of detail here, but just let me say that this is probably the most professional, engaging and expert representative I have dealt with anywhere and I have been around a long time. We have always had trouble of one kind or another with our certs and James handled this with a minimum of bother and maximum effectiveness, explaining all the options, relative benefits and issues clearly and concisely, volunteering services and performing the necessary work right away at a lower cost than our hosting service. Given the issues that we have had before with our certs, this was an immensely satisfying experience. Great service, great rep, haven't seen anything as effective and enjoyable in a long time if ever. I am a bit more sensitive to this than the average person because I have employed people at every level and have always emphasized a focus on excellence in customer service/performance. It is tough to achieve at a high level. These guys really get it.

Beware. Unethical subscription billing. They have creative ways to get your money in advance and in perpetuity. They rebill 6+ months before your subscription is due to expire. And when called out on it, they blame the customer for not understanding their secretive, convoluted way of turning off the autobilling. I called in to cancel and they didn't cancel it. They instead autobilled me for 4 more years and blame me for not catching it sooner. If you pay by Paypal, they say that they can't turn off your autopay and thus you need to cancel renewing charges directly with paypal and they are not able to refund anything if you pay via paypal. I asked paypal about this and they said that SSLGURU was dead wrong about that. When speaking to billing on the phone, their tone and approach is adversarial with the customer. I own a business with a subscription model and can tell you that SSLGURU's subscription policies and excuses are unethical and engineered only for their advantage.

SSLGuru is a fantastic partner. I've had offers for cheaper services that I will not take, because of the customer service I have received from SSLGuru. Max R. is usually my point of contact and he has always been patient with my lack of skill in this area and takes the time to explain what I need to do. This company has earned my loyalty and that is a hard task these days.

Classic cold call scammers.
During the height of the pandemic I received a cold call from these jokers. The guy knew that our SSL certificate on our GoDaddy hosted site was about to expire, knew some other info about the company, owners name, etc. He was very good at making sure the impression is to make you think they're an SSL company that works with your provider. Or that maybe they're even the people who do the SSL Certificate for you. They make sure to be very vague. Never telling you you've never done business with them, etc. I gave the information to the owner. Told him to be careful. But because of the pandemic, and the chaos surrounding those events, he fell for it. Gave him his credit card information. They immediately charged his card. GoDaddy soon confirmed they have zero to do with these guys. We took the loss. Cancelled the credit card. Here they are, almost 2 years later, still trying to charge the cancelled credit card. Soon we will be writing the Attorney General of California and sharing what happened. Their phishing technics may not be illegal, but they sure are unethical. And charging, or trying to charge, your credit card over and over again without warning or your permission? Only a scam company would do such a thing!

SSL GURU's rep contacted me last September about my expired SSL certificate, leaving the impression he was with GoDaddy, my web host. I agreed to have them update my SSL certificate and authorized a payment of $99. Shortly thereafter I called Godaddy and learned this was a 3d party vendor. I called SSL GURU back and explained the mistake. They agreed to refund the charges but said it would take a few days. I called back a week or so later and was told that they had no record of my earlier refund request, and I was now outside of their 3 day cancellation period. They never updated my SSL certificate, yet kept their fee. At best this is poor business practice and at worst a set up and intentional scam.

Signed up for a ‘free’ trial a long time ago. I tried cancelling this because I kept getting spam emails from them but there was no way to do this on their site (pathetic). Now I’m getting invoices for another paid service I didn’t ask for, again no way to automatically cancel this on their site. Opened a ticket but this is a hassle for something I never wanted. Bad business practices… off to the BBB site next.

[UPDATE] After submitting a ticket the invoice was cancelled and so was my account, which (speaking for myself anyway) makes both sides happy.
