Absolutely brilliant app! I've been using it since December & only wish I'd known about it sooner. I use it for everyday purchases where you literally get free money towards paying off your mortgage.... See more

It’s easy to use, and pays money off my mortgage, I would advise anyone with a mortgage to get this app.

Going well and then purchased an M&S card that put me in an endless loop of verification. Basically lost £50.00 which wipes out god knows how long of fidling around to make savings.

Really impressed with sprive. I'm 1 month in and have already overpaid on my mortgage by £30 just from the weekly food shops. I have already recommended it to friends and colleagues. I would also use it for bigger purchases, for booking holidays or birthday pressies. Which means even more money back to my mortgage. Its shows up very quickly on my mortgage statements too which is good to see. Not sure how some people have given this 1 star, its so simple and quick to use too.

Great idea, great app gives me a real motivation to sprive my purchases when I can and save money on my mortgage.

Fantastic.
Love this app, really easy to use. We have an app we can utilise at work to buy gift cards and receive cashback. But this is a much better return and a great investment.

Brilliant concept, but let down by the speed of the app and customer service. I have been let down multiple times by the app being so slow I'm not able to use it for as hoc purchases, or even when purchasing vouchers in advance I've had issues with vouchers loading. When reporting issues to Sprive I have found them to be quite dismissive of the inconvenience this has caused. I wonder if they have grown too quickly and are not able to adequately meet demand for the app? Needs improvement to be a long term viable product.

Been using this now for the past few months, once you get into habit of using it for purchases - it just works. Around £100 paid off my mortgage in 3.5 months. Literally free money.

I think the concept and idea is excellent and I have been using but the biggest downfall is not seeing at the checkout how much balance you have left on a gift card. This can be very time consuming when you just want to pay for your items. Sometimes I have more than one giftcard for a particular retailer but have no idea how much is on each of them and have to work through them. Again if you are in a busy supermarket this can be very frustrating for you and the other shoppers. But with that said the idea is great, however I would like to have more visibility. I know you can check but this requires copying the number, remembering the pin and again very time consuming when you just want to pay for your shopping.

Love seeing how much I’ve put towards my mortgage and seeing the small amounts add up. Easy and quick to use at the till to buy a gift card for the exact amount.

easy to use and seeing the benefits already since using the app.
would like more retailers added to the list to aid my mortgage overpayments 🥰

Transferred money to spend in M&S. then tried to access card to pay on the app, this would not load for me to use in store. Stood in store for along time to see if it would load. Had no luck, therefore had to pay for the products again on card. so basically paid out twice. Not sure if just this app as have only used on a few shops and not had this problem before but not good. 2 weeks later trying to use still takes a while to load M&S and not easy to access as need to verify yourself over and over. Its kind of put me off using anywhere else in case this happens again as not everyone had the funds to pay out twice!

Great product, simple to use, and easy to see the benefits long term!
Just a shame missing a few retailers I could do with such as Lidl & Home Bargains

No brainer! Paying off our mortgage with shopping we were going to do anyway? Yes please!

The Sprive app is a great way to pay down your mortgage without really realising it! The adjustment to using gift cards is easy once you’re in the rhythm. My only negative is that their cash back amounts are usually lower than other providers.

Great app. Ive seen many reviews of the Sprive app saying "just save your money and make your own payments". I think these people missed the point. You are earning cash back on the money you are going to spend anyway, regardless of any potential savings. So, you are not having to save this money yourself. By all means save as much as you can and combine it with Sprive cash back for even extra savings! I think the app is great for making small and regular over payments. I gave it 4 stars because; I sometimes do not want to check out with sprive as I would rather earn points on my credit card spending, Sprive does not support credit card payments for shopping cards so you have to send the moneys from your bank account right away and so you miss out on any other card points etc. I believe more payment options would be beneficial to users. Can buying shopping cards at the till take a few minutes, yes but this is a minor issue that will, with time, become more seamless. I like that you can make regular overpayments right through the app but, this takes days for the money to process into the app then you still have to manually send the money to the lender, The transfer of money to the app should be quicker and automatically sent to the lender. I also miss being able to easily see on the main log-in how much interest and time is being saved off the mortgage. Overall, the app is a great way to add extra small mortgage over payments.

Really great app. Not huge returns, but every little helps! Only thing is, it's a little slow when you're waiting at the check out, but the rewards are processed really quickly

Such a brilliant idea! Who wouldn't want to pay off their mortgage quicker? Once I got my head around the app (I'm a bit of a technophobe) it's really simple. I'm now doing around 70% of my shopping via Sprive. Especially the big food shops. Love this!

Reliable and easy. Downloaded after reading about in the FT. Have been using for all my regular shopping with Sainsbury's and Amazon. Got a great reward when I took the family our for Pizza Express. Have been using for a few weeks and already received an extra £30 which has gone off the mortgage. It feels like free money - but the model makes a lot of sense.
