The Spamhaus Project Reviews 

Just got "blocked" by Spamhaus on my personal laptop. Went through their process and unblocked. Sent another email and got blocked again immediately. I am an individual. I don't have an IT dept to fix whatever they think the problem is. Who gives them authority and how is this any different from any other form of scam?

There are no paths to remediation once you've been hit by a false positive from this company. They do not care about business impact, and certainly won't bother investigating and remediating their error.
Their support team seem to derive joy from learning about the losses they incur.

I am just forwarding the verification code email to others, I am not spamming, my customers need these verification codes, it is because of you that my domain status is now in hold status, I cannot use my domain now, this is What a stupid company.

These ppl are gangsters... they blocked me, made jump through hoops unblocked me FOR ONE EMAIL AND BLOCKED ME AGAIN Some of us do work and not extort companies for "Security"

I sent a few mails to myself for testing with my new domain and I am marked as spam... Hmm.
UPD: They fixed it after writing them a mail.

You cannot have all my information because you've decided I'm emitting spam, as I'm certainly not ..... I try NOT to go on the internet whenever possible

no sorry, I never sent spam but your company added my domain in your block list by this reason, do you think we are stupid people or "your victims"?

First encountered this evil in 2010. They think its right to say "any ip block used for ISP's is a source of spam". Spelt the end of hosting our business emails our selves.

The worst thing about this mockery is that Microsoft use them. What on earth is that all about?

Pure evil. Who censors the censors...if you are an Admin, do everything you can to not work with this Project.

How is it right to block the majority of mail? You can only say thats blocking spam in ignorance. Evil, no accountability. The internet would be a better place without them.

They blocked my domain for no reason. They are very unfriendly, they don't want to give more details or remove the domain.

My advice, if you have a choice, don't cooperate with the Spamhaus.

A "spam filter" is there to make the internet a better place, not to make it a worse place.

They simply block entire IP ranges, so that innocent people miss out on important emails. Apparently they think it's more important to block as much as possible than people missing important emails. This is a bad thing!

They have no sense of responsibility at all. When you contact them, they just close contact tickets without providing a proper response.

So I neither expect a reponse here, they don't take responsibility. You can see that from the other reviews here.

Only advice left, if you're in charge of a server, try to avoid The Spamhaus Project.

I like it when the spam epidemic is fought. But when blocking is unjustified, it's bad for business for small and especially young companies. And that is unfair to the greatest extent. So, revise your approach!

This service is the worst possible internet parasite !
I run a search engine, it is normal that search engine crawlers browse from one host to another and reach any possible host on the internet, but this crappy service claims my IPs are "infected with malware", just because my crawlers reach certain hosts/websites. Pathetic abusive practices. Not only that, but they also notifies the ISPs with these lies.
Nobody cares if what they claim is true or not.
Horrible company.

working for MSP - constantly having battels with this company blocking legit companies, trying to get blacklist removed is like getting blood from a stone - adding salt to the injury by basic text-book copy-paste Reponses, at times can be cocky too

Twice in the last 18 months my IP address has been blocked by this so called Internet Police. The last time it was because I had received unsolicited email which I tried to unsubscribe from. Don't know the techie reason but apparently this upset Spamhaus so they blocked me and then set me a whole load of jargon telling me what I HAD to do' meant absolutely nothing to me. Got my ISP and hosting company involved and 6 days later emails ok. Now they have blocked me AGAIN for something called 'Bounce back' dating back to 9 August! Today is 23 August so why the delay. Try getting hold of them - ha!ha! good luck - the whole system appears to be run by 'bots'!

Blacklisting ip range without reason. It's really garbage company. When you raise ticket against Spamhaus, after you wait for 6 hours, their support said sorry, it is false-positive. OMG, this is not the first time happen. Why does MS365 use it? How to prevent Spamhaus from O365? This company should be blamed.

This company shouldn’t be trusted with blacklisting IPs

They can add your domain unjustly to their blacklist and then refuse to remove the listing or even to give you the reason for why it's there. Spamhaus should be blacklisted itself.

Who gave this private company any rights to decide about spam.
They are not reading messages at all, copy&paste no matter what you write to them, no reading at all, not using any arguments.
