I got a bike from Sona Bikes through the bike-to-work scheme. While the bike looks great and feels stylish, there have been a few quality issues. Over time, parts like the leather handles came loose, and some components, like the brakes, needed attention sooner than expected. That said, their customer service is responsive, and they seem to care about resolving problems. For the price, there might be better options out there, but if you're after a trendy design and are willing to maintain it, Sona Bikes could still work for you. 4 stars.

Horrible, don't buy from here. Bike came in the wrong color advertised, needed to send it for a full service, sent me 2 left pedals so I had to go out and buy new ones. Just go into a physical bike shop

Nothing but issues from day 1. They seem to use the cheapest components money can buy and slap on a high price tag. Spend your money elsewhere.

Got the city bike for men with the bike2work scheme and honestly cannot be more disappointed. The leather handles have been displaced after few weeks of use, everything rattles no matter the surface you’re rodong the bike in… does not feel solid at all. Its good looks don’t equal quality and for 750 quid there are PLENTY of higher quality and more practical bikes in the market. Here you’re just paying for being a hipster.

Great experience, Ed was brilliant, gave me all the info I needed before the purchase and kept me up to date on the progress of the order. The bike was delivered and on time and all set up. Five stars.

I bought a bike a year ago. I wrote a review on Trustpilot in October 2023, because I was so unhappy with the bike. After discussing with one of the people in Sona, I deleted the review. They said they were a local Irish business to whom every review matters. I'm a local Irish worker and my bike matters to get me around the place. The experience I've had with Sona Bikes, and the bike I purchased was awful. Truly awful. In the year since I have bought the bike...

The front brake has completely failed, and seized nearly leading to an accident.
The bike crank has come off, injuring my leg.
The bike lock has seized in cold weather.
The chain has come off the bike almost anytime I try to change gear under load. Once nearly resulting in injury.

When I spoke to the company about it they asked me to send the photos of the front brake. I don't perform free labor so I didn't.

The only positive from this experience is the knowledge that I will never fall for a "bike-to-work" package scheme again.

Great company to order from, very efficient transaction process when ordering a bike through the Bike To Work Scheme. The bike received is stunning, superb quality and comes with a huge selection of accessories. Every cyclist's dream. Would highly recommend as a provider!

Bought a bike back in October of 2022 and meant to review after I'd had it a while - no issues, great bike and service and good follow up afterservice after a couple of months to iron out a couple of minor bedding in things. Would recommend.
