The worst experience ever! Do not trust this company!

The worst experience ever! Bad services, dirty apartment, filthy and dysfunctional home appliances, bad internet service, no instructions, and worst of all very rude and sarcastic personnel behavior. The only kindness was prior to receiving the payment. Stay away from them!

A total scam!

A total scam! Booked one of smartbnb villas in Skiathos through booking.com with the option of free cancellation if cancelled within 3 weeks. I cancelled the following day having then read some terrible reviews about the property. I thought nothing of it having cancelled within the free time period . I then noticed weeks later that smartbnb (not booking.com) had taken 1000 euros from my account. They stated that a 20% deposit would be taken within the first 10 days ( this was very quickly taken hours later) and reimbursed within 5 days if it was within the free cancellation period which I was. Nearly 8 weeks later - no refund. I filed a complaint with booking.com ( initially I had no idea I was booking through smartbnb) and spoke to my bank who noticed further payments were due to be taken for this cancelled booking. Thanks to my bank and booking.com I have received a full refund. I’ve noticed since I logged the complaint the property has been removed from booking.com Do not book with this company!

Bad experience

We booked a holiday for our family (2 adults, 2 kids) at one of the properties: Athens Kolonaki Gem Chic Modern Apartment. We arrived and there were no duvets, they brought 1 and they told us that the other one would arrive the next day because it was late. The place was dirty: dirty bathmat, trash from other people, dirty chairs and drawers and wardrobes. We had to leave and they refused any responsibility. Horrible experience

Landlords use this site to avoid bad feedback on their listings

Initially booked apartment through booking.com. Owner then cancelled, and gave us a bit of a run around, before finally agreeing to host us, but didn't do it through booking.com. Sent us a link to book through smartbnb, and took down the listing for the original property on booking.com

Property itself was not as advertised (e.g. no view), had poor plumbing so smelled quite bad long after using the toilet. Bed sheet quality was poor. Astonishingly expensive for what we got.

The worst bit is there is zero accountability. Smartbnb offers no ability to review a property. The owners took down the listing on booking.com, so I can't add my feedback there either. I can only assume this was a deliberate choice on the owners' part to avoid booking.com fees as well as bad reviews. I'm sure in a couple of weeks after I've forgotten, they'll put the listing back up, and redo the same process, bypassing any bad review feedback.

Be wary of highly reviewed places on booking.com that then cancel and send you through to smartbnb to rebook.

Bad time

We rent an apartment at Paros, Greece, on September 2024. We paid 4 nights et we left after 1 night. The place was dirty, aunt in the bed all night and in the wall of the bathroom in the morning. Water on the floor of the bathroom, dust in the drawer. Smartbnb never wanted to refund us. They just offer to change the sheet and put insecticide. This problem was know by them and the owner never solved it. NEVER reserve with them!

Please do not book travel with Smartbnb

Please do not book travel with this agency, they charged me cash at the arrival and charge my visa online payment after check out too !!! Since I had no cash receipts I could not get my money back, I wrote to both owner and Smartbnb to no avail. Do not book with them period.

This company is a scam

As everyone else has said they operate on booking.com using chat bots and fake reviews. We had to leave the apartment because it was filthy and unsuitable for humans to be in. Fraudulent company

Cockroaches in their apartments

Cockroaches in the apartment, and the WORST communication I have ever encountered - they just ignored all calls and messages, and refused to give any refund after we checked out early due to the dirty apartment. They do not care about their customers or have any respect for them at all. Do not waste your money dealing with this company - it deserves to be spent elsewhere.

You did NOT deal with this issue of cleanliness promptly- you didn't deal with it at all.
'Unable to accommodate a refund' - a respectable company who cares about the service they are providing and their customers would have at least had a conversation with the customer about it. Your company just did not reply to this request.
'Get in touch with you directly'? Your staff just completely ignored any messages and calls and did not respond at all at the time of the issue.

I do not recommend

I do not recommend! the stay was terrible. We rented an apartment(Friendly Accomodation, Plateon Street) and even though we showed up after 4:30 p.m. (check in at 3 p.m.), the apartment was dirty and not cleaned. Clean service cleaned the apartment but it was still dirty, sticky countertops, dirty fridge and worst of all, the towels had traces of feces and were still damp. We had nothing to wipe ourselves with. the bedding was dirty! After contacting us by phone, we were promised clean bedding and towels after an hour, which was not true, and then the next day - they were not delivered either. Dirt and dust! Disgusting experiences!
