NEVER book with this company in Cyprus

NEVER book with this company in Cyprus. They scammed us out of hundreds of euros of our massive deposit, and reading others' experiences, it's not the first time, in fact, it's their business model. They blamed us on all sorts of tiny marks on the white walls that were pre-existing and anyone else would call wear and tear, lied that we stained their mattress and rug, and so charged us hundreds of euros from our 2.8k deposit. In addition, the car park space allocated to me was blocked by someone else, and when I complained, they told ME to deal with it. I parked in another space and that owner reported me to the police. The water pump broke down, the electric shutters didn't work, and when the building security changed their access procedures, I was locked out and I had to deal with it, they were too lazy to sort it out. We have rented apartments all over the world and never had a problem or encountered scammers like this. Next time we stick with Airbnb, they would never accept this sort of fraudulent behaviour.

Review – Please Read Before Renting with Moving Doors
I’m sharing this review so future tenants can make an informed decision based on real experience.
While I understand that property management is a business and that reasonable deductions from a deposit are normal, my experience with Moving Doors showed a consistent pattern of unexpected charges, shifting explanations, and deductions that went far beyond what was contractually agreed.
Key concerns:
1. Substantial deposit withholding
Nearly 80% of my deposit was retained, primarily for items categorized as normal wear and tear, which the contract explicitly permits. No damage was caused.
2. Fees introduced after move-out that were not in the contract
Multiple charges appeared only after vacating the property, including:
An “exit fee” never mentioned in the agreement
Additional cleaning charges despite a €70 cleaning fee already included in the contract
An extra garbage fee, even though garbage collection was already covered under common expenses
Charges for replacing items that were unused or in normal condition
A household item billed at €55 despite having a retail price of €40
3. Disproportionate painting charge (€550)
Applied for minor wall marks consistent with everyday use, not damage.
4. Deposit return process not respected
The contract specifies return within 21 working days. After move-out, this was extended to 40 days without contractual basis.
5. Rent fully paid, yet eviction notices issued
Despite rent being paid correctly and on time, eviction notices were still sent, creating unnecessary stress and confusion.
6. Contradictory rent demands
Rent was agreed from 19 November to 19 December, yet I was later asked to pay again from 1 January, effectively requesting overlapping rent periods.
7. Internet issue ignored despite clear notice of impact
I explicitly informed Moving Doors that reliable internet was critical because I work from home.
The issue was reported multiple times.
Due to delays and poor handling, it took over two months to resolve.
During this time, the internet was unusable, preventing me from working and resulting in financial loss.
8. Ongoing maintenance and service issues
Mold and heavy dust in A/C units
Repeatedly blocked drains I was told to resolve personally
Unresolved safety and maintenance concerns in common areas
Overall impression:
Throughout the tenancy and move-out process, issues were handled slowly, inconsistently, and often contrary to the written agreement. Charges were added late, explanations changed, and essential services were not addressed in a timely manner despite clear communication.
I strongly recommend that anyone considering renting carefully document everything, confirm all fees in writing, and be cautious of deductions or charges introduced after move-out.

I would have given -1 star if that was…

I would have given -1 star if that was the option. Apartment was not at all clean even after requesting a cleaning. There was mould and fungus everywhere in the cupboards, furnishing, headboards and beddings. Me, my child and my wife fell sick. All furnishings were washed badly with tons of detergent and had laundry smell all over the apartment. Customer support is of no use as they expect you to not do anything else but chat and call them for reporting each and everything with text and photos. Otherwise they cannot do anything.
Ans, if you leave before the said duration they will try their best to eat up your deposit and charge you more citing their TnC

2 months, no deposit back

I rented an apartment for a month. Apartment was nice and clean.
It takes "up to 40 days" to get the deposit back but it has been two month since I moved out and I have not received my deposit back.
I would not rent there again and do not recommend the experience.
Save yourself the stress and get an apartment somewhere else.

Extremely unprofessional and careless

Extremely unprofessional and careless, specifically an employee named Sotiria.

Two days wasted on discussion of a rent apartment just to knew all this time it was possible to book it on their site and somebody else did exactly that.

What is the point of discussing the rent and not telling potential client he should book it?

God damn stupid people.

The apartment is fine BUT!

The apartment is fine. They lie on the website, for example, i'm supposed to have a dishwasher - but there isnt one.
So far they are very slow to respond to messages if at all

Be careful.

Apartments are looking good but terrible service

BE CAREFUL (they keep the deposit, they have different business accounts on Google, check briefly.)

Don't answer questions and even block us in Whatsapp

Great apartments but terrible costumer service

The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and I love it. However their costumer service is awful. They sometimes takes days between their reply when there’s a problem with the apartment. And note that this accords even though I’ve written and responded several times to them how I’m currently suffering because of the situation. Yet, they are extremely slow and non present at all.

Unreliable and unefficient customer service…

I have been asking to visit one of their serviced flats/short time rentals while I am in Limassol, Cyprus. They never called back or sent messages by their initiative, after requesting a date for a visit with a total of 20 messages sent on WhatsApp I finally gave up, exhausted. I will simply book somewhere else. Their level of inefficiency is unbelievable, I don't understand how they can stay in business.
