Impossible to cancel
Last year they took my premium although I had told them I didn't want to renew. It was subsequently refunded. They have just claimed a further payment from my credit card without any notification. Very difficult to contact.

About to cancel policy
I was about to cancel my insurance for my fridge freezer as I had had it for years. I spoke to William Martin and it is not often you get someone who listens but he reduced my premium and persuaded me to stay. Well done William it was nice to speak to you. SmartCover are very competitive.

Duplicate policy problem
Spoke to Bill at Smart-Sure today to explain we had mistakenly taken out a policy for which we already had cover. Bill was extremely understanding and kindly arranged for the policy to be cancelled and the direct debit refunded. We also initially spoke to another member of staff who was very courteous and understanding and arranged for Bill to telephone us to sort out the problem within 24 hours.
