What a beautiful trip with the Caledonian Sleeper. Absolutely wonderful. The staff on board is really nice. Perfect and thank you !

We loved our trip on the Cal Sleeper - such a lovely way to travel, especially if you don't like to fly. The cabins are small but they are principally designed for sleeping and the overnight trip - the lounge cars are were you want to be sitting anyway as they have much better views. We overall both slept well in spite of the occasional motion and noise of the train itself.
The staff were lovely and helpful at all times.

Loved the lounges in London and Fort William. So nice to have a quiet place to eat, relax and shower before and after long trip.

Shower as always cold.
Breakfast could be a little better.
But still my preferred way to travel. Beds clean and comfy.

Lounge in London was very good comfortable, friendly staff.
Disappointed that staff there where not able to tell us why a limited breakfast option would only be available in the morning.
Even more disappointed when boarding train to find that not only was there a limited menu but that there would be no dinning car option in which take breakfast .
This was a big disappointment as having breakfast in comfort while admiring the scenery on the way to Fort William is the highlight of the trip.
Breakfast served in room with wooden utensils in a cardboard box, balancing hot drinks on a bed does not compete .
Feel we did not receive the experience we paid for.

Worth the extra money for bed rather than recliner. Very pleasant bar and restaurant service. On board shower surprisingly pleasant! Staff all very helpful. Brilliant to arrive refreshed in Scotland with the morning commuters and a full day ahead. Far smoother with seamless transitions from local trains etc to the sleeper than the equivalent flying.

Very understanding, professional, friendly, compassionate. Both onboard crew and online chat staff were all of these things at a very tough time emotionally following the loss of a much loved family pet/dog. I love the Caledonian Sleeper; I need not say any more.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Clean cabin with good quality linen and toiletries. Breakfast choices are good.

Overall nice service which contributed to a very pleasant experience. Train ride was noisy with lots of vibration which kept me awake. (By contrast daytime train ride back from Glasgow to Euston was super smooth)

Train and lounge employees were friendly and helpful. The train was clean and comfortable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The cabin was good and seemed very clean. Breakfasts were good. It was highly disruptive having to move my bicycle at Edinburgh but I understand the reasons. However, I feel that better information on the process and timeline could have been provided.

Very Pleasurable experience to wake in the Highlands!!

Booked a seat instead of a bed. Staff were lovely and the toilets fab!
Seats very stiff for a sleeper and not much leg space at all though, also there was no functioning internet service at ANY point throughout the journey.
I didn't order food, but the menu seemed nice and everythin smelled wonderful.
I would book again, but bring a book instead of my laptop this time.

First : guest lounge closed for no reason, second : cabins and corridors are incredibly small, terribly shaky and noisy, third : breakfast cancelled and cherry on top : an hour late in Edimburg...The only positive point : it's clean. I won't recommand at all, very disapointed and the feeling that I have wasted my money.

First-timer. I chose a "Classic" cabin. At 6'4" I found it a bit cramped. Maybe I should have inquired about the dimensions. But it was accommodating and the night's sleep was wonderful. Our train had a problem with a locomotive and there was a switch in the middle of the night. I woke up because it was so quiet; we weren't moving! But a text alert was waiting for me in the morning and a refund was offered if we didn't make Edinburgh within 30 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. That was generous. Overall, it was helpful, restful, and well worth the fare.

Let it be clear that I was extremely excited to ride on this train and even asked to purchase some merchandise while in the departing lounge, but was directed to the website which was fine. Upon arrival, the breakfast card had the two (highly marketed and anticipated) Scottish breakfast options crossed out (which disappointed us greatly) but then in the morning we were told the crossed out options were actually available. If they were available then they should have replaced the breakfast cards. I went to the club car for dinner and asked for a soda to be sent back to my partner in our cabin which seemed to confuse the staff. It was eventually delivered after I saw the message and soda can change hands from 3 stewards. My plates were also cleaned up quickly, and the server took my unfinished little bottle of gin (I had set aside) off the table with the plates (after I had asked for another glass of ice and ginger ale so I'm not sure why he assumed I was finished drinking it) which I had to go to the kitchen to request it back as he did not notice he had taken it and hadnt cleaned the plates yet, only put the plates on a side counter. Then the staff began talking casually, removed some items of their uniforms, and going over their own paperwork at the booth next to me while I was trying to enjoy the rest of my beverage in whatever semblance luxury I had left. They were even discussing guest details like the gender and age of guests and when each one was to be woken to get off the train. If I were a woman travelling alone I would be scared to know this information would be discussed while other guests were nearby. We booked and arrived at our 6:45am breakfast, but were not served our food until 6:55 and then had our plates taken away at 7:05 after some pointed questions from staff and them spraying cleaner around us and packing up the club car. We felt ill from how quickly we were forced to eat. They said 'they needed to get everyone off the train' which we were aware of course but that was to be at 7:30. Water pressure died before midnight and we could no longer flush our toilet (the light around the flush button de-luminated) so we just had to let the waste sit in the toilet. We could barely wet our hands either as the water was dribbling out of the sink. We didn't even try to shower, which we paid extra for the option to do, after we saw the water pressure issue. The bathroom door also did not latch and the under-toilet lights are unable to be turned off so we had to jerry-rig a string to tie it closed so it would not swing open in the night. The 'purpose made Scottish artisan' mattress were also very squished down to rock solid in the middle were people's pelvis and hips sit. To be fair the linens and pillows were very comfortable and plush. The station lounges were the best part of the entire experience. Although in the London lounge, 'fresh' towels were being kept haphazardly under the reception desk, stuffed and half-unfolded in the same shelves as walkie talkies, computer cords, and office supplies. The shampoo and body wash in the lounge showers were also watered down. Also, upon boarding one hour early we were told to immediately store our large bags (with our changes of clothes in them) in the last train car and we were 7 cars away from them so we elected to go without changing or the ride. It would have been nice to have the option to bring our lugguage to our room first to unpack some clothes, take one or both bags to our rooms and store them under the bed as we later saw there was a spot for, or even have the stewards offer to keep our bags in one of the empty rooms in our car. They informed us that all doors were unable to be locked from the outside on this journey anyways.. We also found out later after tasting it that the fudge provided on the bed pillow was 2 months out of date. Overall, this was absolutely not worth the money and the experience was very different from the one that is advertised. I would not recommend this service to any friends or family members and would instead recommend any competing service, even a sitting only train, or a hotel and morning train instead.

A comfortable, peaceful and enjoyable way to travel to Scotland, while already getting accustomed to its unique culture. Caledonian Sleeper renews the way to travel by night train.
The staff is kind and helpful.
The facilities and equipment are modern, very clean and easy to use. The Club Car offers a good atmosphere.
I hope it will not become more expensive.
