Hi Debbie,

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience. Skyscanner is a travel comparison site, that redirects you to your chosen airline or online travel agent, where you make the booking directly. We don’t set prices or routes ourselves, these are provided live by our travel partners.

Skyscanner offers a range of features to help you find the route or price that works best for you. Once you’ve entered your trip details and reached the results page, you can filter your options by layover time or specific stopover airports. You can also choose to see the fastest itineraries.

Once you're redirected to your chosen provider, they will be the best team to help with any queries regarding your booking. We're happy, however, to support travellers where we can.

I’ve checked for previous emails from you but haven’t been able to find a case under your name, and there isn’t an email address linked to your review, so I’m unable to contact you directly. If you’d like us to look into this further, you can contact our support team using the form below:

Thanks for your feedback. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Luisa

No compassion shown even in a terminal illness situation

I had to cancel my flight because my wife was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and has very little time left.
I fully understand the "non-refundable" policy, but I reached out hoping for some flexibility or a humanitarian exception given the dire circumstances. I was prepared to provide medical certificates. We wanted to use the refunded money for her medical expenses, but unfortunately, the airline strictly refused any special requests.
While they followed their terms and conditions, the lack of empathy and the mechanical response during such a heartbreaking time for my family was devastating. If you are looking for an airline that shows compassion in life-altering emergencies, I cannot recommend this one.

Hello Hideki,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am truly sorry to hear what your family is going through.

As a travel search engine (or price comparison site), Skyscanner is a tool to help travellers plan their trips and find the best travel arrangements, but we do not take bookings or payment directly. Unfortunately, have no visibility on your booking that you have booked with the travel provider or your activity once you have been redirected to the travel provider's website.

While airlines have their own refund policies, I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience.

We will contact you directly via email to gather more details and assist you further - please check your inbox.

Kind Regards,

Seongju - Skyscanner Support

Been using Skyscanner for over a decade — still my go-to travel tool!

I’ve been using Skyscanner since around 2012 — a travel secret I discovered through a friend — and I haven’t looked back since. It’s been my primary source for finding flight deals and planning trips ever since.

I’ve traveled to over 51 countries, and Skyscanner has made it so much easier to coordinate my flights, compare prices, and build travel schedules. I love that it’s such a practical, reliable tool — from setting flexible dates to finding the best times and airlines that fit my budget and days off.

Occasionally, I’ll run into small hiccups, but those are usually on the airline or third-party side, never Skyscanner itself. The platform just works — simple, clean, and effective. I also appreciate that it now includes hotels and rental cars, but my main use has always been for flights, and it’s come through clutch for years.

Thanks, Skyscanner, for helping make travel this smooth and accessible. Love it!

Hello Dan,

Thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear this.

Skyscanner is a travel search engine that helps you find the best travel options. Once you have found what you're looking for, you are redirected to the airline or travel agent's site where you make your booking directly.

We are keen to look into this for you and investigate it further. Please could you provide more information about the booking including the name of the flight provider you booked with on the following link?

Exellent

I can easily search for airline tickets and hotels, you can quickly search for other prices and routes, etc. It is easy to use, the font is large, the pages are not covered by unnecessary advertisements, and the blue color is gentle on the eyes. It's gentle and doesn't tire you out. Very easy to use. Thank you as always♪
