I have a Microsoft Endpoint Admin cert course . the worst, outdated. labs are breaking all the time. really bad. not recommend
Outdated
I purchased a Skillsoft Full Stack Development course through a third party for almost 4K USD – and I must say, it was a huge disappointment.
The course material was from 2019 (6 years outdated), covering old technology with no updates to reflect the current industry.
The content were ok in 2019, but it is filled with annoying flaws: poor pedagogy, badly designed exercises, unoptimized sound. Subtitles are auto-generated with mistakes, which only adds to frustration.
TERRIBLE & UNTRUSTWORTHY
I signed up for a free trial but after cancelling my subscription they went and took out the money anyway and won't refund me!
Scum of the earth...
DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!
Courses are too Americanised namby…
Courses are too Americanised namby pamby and not appropriate for use outside an American office environment. UK and European companies should stop jumping on the US bandwagon of expecting everyone to be a robot. We're not, we are individual.
Scam
Scam. Thought I was buying a North Face backpack. Got bounced to their payment page, stopped.. £2.50 taken from my account, then an attempt at £44. Banking provider informed me. Blocked.
this company seems like a total scam!
this company seems like a total scam!! Lied to me and wasted my time!
Content great, service poor!
Whilst the content is great from the kit purchased, the customer support is lacking.
Whilst I eventually got hold of the resource I needed and purchased after 4 days or emails back and forth, I have yet to have my request acknowledged for a partial refund. Now that the course is over, all emails are being ignored. This really is not a great experience.
Approached by Skillsoft for a finance role
HR contacted me regarding a finance role at Skillsoft- i had to really force it to have details about the role (only was told salary and remote position) never been sent the job spec even after attending the interview (wow). Found out during the interview that the salary for this role was in fact less than what HR told me. Never heard from anyone after the interview- even emailed after 3 weeks for an update, nobody bothered replying. How unprofessional and disrespectful. Glad I'm not working there, it's just insulting.

My employer spent close to $1,000 on 30 hours of PDU I needed to renew my PMP certification. I put this hodepodge of random garbage videos on in the background to make it less painful. The videos had no relationship to the subject matter. The AI text-to-speech videos mispronounced basic words (repeatedly, so painfully repeatedly). I'd say they were hours forever lost, like those last years lost by smokers, except that I lost these hours in the middle of my life. Skillsoft should pay me the $1,000 for the torture I felt having to listen to these in the background (I really do prefer to work in silence).
i like skillsoft
i like skillsoft. surprised by negative reviews here.
good customer support
great quality of courses
Cloud essentials course is terrible!
I am doing the Comptia Cloud Essentials+ course which consists of many short videos which are narrated by an Indian IT professional. Unfortunatel, his English is terrible and super hard to follow, he does not use words like "the' or 'a' so sentences are in broken English. I do not understand why they don't use a native English speaker or someone who speaks it well.. Also, the graphs used in the lessons are terribly unclear and contain information which is never addressed, so they are more confusing than their intended use: to simplify a concept. Doing this course is just a struggle and a constant irritation.
Great in theory
I'm in IT certification courses, namely for cloud services, networking, and security. This is the second time I've used Skillsoft for IT related Lab work. The vast majority of the Labs are incredibly outdated. I'm talking working on a machine with a 2008 version of windows Server operating systems. Setting up firewalls on a Windows Vista machine. I have had *MAYBE* a few labs that have been on up-to-date systems. The *IDEA* of the Labs are really neat. But the execution is just horrible. They get too laggy to work on with a class of 25 people. They are out dated. They take FOREVER to complete. I wish it wasn't like that. But it is.
Terrible customer support.
I was a student there
I was a student there, the learning platforms it's good but when you're ready to take the exam have to beg for n exams permit. More than 6 months go and my credentials is expired after paying 4000 British pounds

Good tutor spoilt by terrible customer service
Booked a course with GK/SS and never received any training materials despite being promised on several occasions that it was being address. Eventually received them a week after the course finished with no real apology or explanation. As I managed to pass the exam, through my own effort and extra time, they feel that its all fine and that they don't need to do anything.
I am out of pocket compared to other providers and paid for a course i didn't truly get.
I will advise anyone looking for virtual training to stay well clear of this bunch and look at other companies who do the same thing for a lot less money.
GK used to be good and customer focused but that has all changed.
I wont be using them for my corporate training provider based on this bad customer support experience.
Highly recommended!
The Skillsoft Percipio courses I do through my employer are excellent. The courses are always very user friendly to navigate through with lots great learning tools.
Highly recommended!
Course materials below acceptable standard.
Currently studying for Cyber Security qualifications via Skillsoft course. Unfortunately not at all impressed with the materials provided. The materials consist primarily of narrated powerpoint presentations, practice exams and a "Lab" where virtual servers are available to put theory into practice. In all of these I've found some significant issues, which have hampered my progress and required frequent resorting to other information sources to verify if course materials are correct.
I have encountered several instances of course materials providing factually inaccurate information which, had I relied upon and not checked against other sources, could have cost me an exam pass. This was mirrored in the practice exams, which contained some incorrect answers and questions that were vague and poorly worded.
The "Labs" are often not actually practical at all, and are just pages of text repeating what the videos have already said. The text is frequently of very poor quality, in terms of both grammar and content. This means effort is spent decyphering the content and not learning. Of those labs that do involve actual interaction with computer systems, some are vague as to the point of the exercise and some go no further than just pointing you to a website.
Overall, I am disappointed with the materials from Skillsoft. They are a major provider of training materials, but in this instance I have found their product to be below an acceptable standard.
Avoid at all cost. Low quality rubbish
Government funded drivel that is paid for regardless of ability. Terrible video hosting. Misleading information. Do no bother to contact them. Padded out courses to bulk up what is freely available on youtube.
They are inconsistent in the terminology and very unprofessional. Do not pay for.
