Sketchfab is honestly disappointing the platform feels clunky, the search barely helps you find anything good, and half the models are either low quality or poorly optimized. The UI is frustrating, things load slowly, and it just doesn’t feel polished at all. On top of that, it isn’t even letting me create a new account, which just makes the whole experience even worse. I genuinely wish there was an option to rate it 0 stars, because 1 star feels way too generous for the experience it gives.

I cannot order the software, I want sketfab but instead of giving me a shopping cart it keeps asking me what games I play, then it says it's sending me a sign in number that never shows up and I end up back in the same place. Support-forget it, you have to have the six digits they don't send you to sign in

Upload error. See details on the model page but the only support you "might" get is after you sign up to Epic Games? What is that? Going elsewhere.

Had all my 3d models stolen from sketchfab site and now sold on Cult3d, reported it to both sites, Sketchfab offered to reset my password! 20 years work stolen in seconds

Every year, it is the same issue. As a business, I need an invoice, which is impossible. You end up being stuck in a Q&A loop on their website, and in the end, you need to wait two business days for help. Every year it's the same story. They don't seem to get their stuff right. I'm going to move on to an alternative. I'm done with Sketchfab.

I would like to buy a model. Forwarded to epic games, but IMPOSSIBLE to log in each time due to the foolish hchapta tool. No customerservice or contact possibilties whatsoever.

Not able to send me an invoice for the pro service.
Support answers vray unfriendly. Since sketchfab belongs to EPIC it´s become more worse

i need the invoice for my premium subscription, but sketchfab support hasn't answered me for over a month. it's totally complicated to even get to the support page, you have to create a discord account just for that and then it's a waste of time because nobody answers anyway.

For the past 2 or so years, I have grown to love Sketchfab as a place to share my 3D creations. There just isn’t anything like it.

But, in recent months I have noticed something different about the platform. The constant NSFW content flooding my feed and search results, the constant store scammers and thieves, little support from the staff, the community is getting overun by users who abuse the platform.

Not to mention, there was this one user who would sell ripped game models and other stolen assets yet Sketchfab denied me to become a seller with my original models.

I might end up leaving as a result. I really hope things improve in the future. But I'm not holding my breath.

Uses AI to generate models from user uploaded data, covertly changing terms for AI embrace. Watch out for Sketchfab and other stock sites, when you upload to them you are fueling their ability to compete with you in the future using their AI to generate your models!!

Useful in some situations, It can be a very useful program sometimes if you need a 3d model

I have been using Sketchfab a lot in my portfolio this year and I must say, from their website to their customer service; I am very impressed on both the business side of things and what they're doing for this great industry.

everything is good only downside is that your models can be ripped easily and also support replay is too slow

Absolutely awful. Created a store account, couldn't log in, sent a help request, can't because I need to login first. Reset password ? Sure! Sent a request for reset. Check my email ? Ok! It's been 3 days. Don't use sketchfab

Two cases of random users that havent uploaded models or contributed to the community making indecent comments that i report and they do nothing.
The staff members dont choose the ones bringing money in. They go with the "clout" option. Youll find better useful places. I used to recommend them. But they use your models against you. Part of their agreement when you upload.

Sketchfab team put alot of effort into pushing out and keeping out Indigenous 3D Content Creators. I used to recommend it as a stable solution for my clients and tech workshop participants. I no longer can recommend Sketchfab as a solution because their are way too many incidents with Sketchfab staff making it impossible for Indigenous content creators to include their own respectful, family friendly content in the platform.

They put many assets as editorial use only, which basically you can't use them commercially or to promote your products, it has basically no practical use, it is just a way to take money from people who didn't expect to pay for nothing and didn't read the license. I have bought in other stores like Unity asset store and they never make you pay for nothing. That license should be removed as has not any practical use

I just read the book of a rant from Truebones and I gotta say thats funny that they're going off about stolen content and stolen content being sold when they charge people $29 for animations they got from game rips, and whats even worse the person posted those rips on youtube for free and theygot the nerve to charge people for them.
So kettle calling the pot black here..

Sketchfab is a good place to get materials by the way, if you';re starting out or wantto play with 3d models its a good place to get them and a place to show off.

After all it's the internet, the moment you post anything on here it has the potential to be stolen. That's just life in general.
But to complain like Oh people are stealing and selling, Best look in the mirror first before you start throwing stones ey?

Sketchyfab is Sketchy to say the least.. To be honest I thought Sketchfab was the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I invested heavily into it during the beginning and earlier stages when animation was first introduced. From there I created several store fronts using the embed window gl technology to drive my animation businesses. In total it took me about 5 years and some serious carpel tunnel to make it all work perfectly, in fact, BART gave me a code that allowed me to insert PAYPAL links... Once I did that, Sketchfab said that they received a complaint that someone was confused about the paypal links, Then BART told me to remove the Paypal link code that he had given me off all my content, Well that took a while to remove and was a lot of work, Then BART Threatened me to say if I didnt remove the code fast enough he was going to delete all my stuff without warning.. And I think that was childish and they even made a big joke about it all over their forum, using a video from youtube called the FINAL COUNTDOWN..
I then told BART that he was misrepresenting and I would be LEAVING SKETCHFAB, He then Deleted not only My Accounts, But like 20 to 50 OTHER PEOPLES ACCOUNTS without WARNING! That was 5 years of hard work down the DRAIN, SHOCKING, I KNOW.. But there is a SILVER LINING... I later find out that using sketchfab is not a good idea, only because there is no security, ENcrpyted they say, but thats actually hogwash. There are now several FREE applications that allow you to RIP all of the stuff out of the sketchfab windows.... BOY oh BOY am I GLAD that I dont put up my priceless artworks there,..

But wait, thats not all... I asked Bart what was going on and why my accounts and other peoples was deleted. He said very crassly, We banned you for 60 years because of your behavior, No warnings, No nuthin, just a BIG JOKE of a sad clown man named BART.

Copyrights? This had nothing to do with copyrights, SKetchfab dont care about copyrights, they are not the copyright police, they are just moderators acting completely stupid, using words like PIRACY as weapons against their own customers. And to top it off and wrap up this disaster of a company, I digress, THIS IS WORSE THAN BERNIE MADOFF! This company and the people that run it is a complete SHAM or SCAM worse than fricking NAPSTER...

But let me just say. I dont think sketchfab will be around much longer, it is kind of like napster i mean, whats with all the game rips, they actually selll all the fortnite and stuff from all the video games.... 2 weeks later I came back to find that my ip addresses was blocked, I mean who does that? blocking IPs is like so 2,000's

But that dint stop me from signing up again only to have trolls report to bart to delete my account over and over and over again. it was like BART was letting TROLLS be security guards for Sketchfab.. This really left me puzzeled...

However today I now have a sketchfab account because I realize that I can now sell RIPPED GAME CONTENT NO PROBLEMS, WITH NO QUESTIONS, THANKS SKETCHFAB...

I also noticed that when i finally made it back into sketchfab, that people had been selling my models and stuff since my accouts were deleted, Sooo, it like this... The let me set everything up, then they delete all my accounts without warning, because they were offended of my behavior..Then they take the stuff that was on my accounts all my content, and LET OTHER PEOPLE SELL IT WHILEI WAS GONE!

SO they took all my stuff, deleted my accounts, blocked my ip and gave no real explanation as to why they were doing this to me, OH WELL...

Now i intend to report this to the FBI, FTC, BBB and shareholders of Sketchfab, including their NEW CEO.

I will also be filing standard DMCA claims where and if necessary. and try to get my content back, I SHOULD SUE SKETCHFAB, But I dont want to do that, Id rather just make a HUGE STORY or get my money back,...

You people wanted to know BEFORE the BERNIE MADEOFF SCHEME, not after, So thats what we have here folks, A real HYPER SCAM,. REMEMBER NAPSTER? This is 50 million times bigger than that,

Everything about Sketchfab is about stealing... And your all the Suckers if you use it.

MORAL of the story, DONT USE SKETCHFAB, IT HAS NO SECURITY and that clown man BART, Will let Trolls run the joint, because hes to lazy to moderate it himself...
