Excellent customer service and after…

Excellent customer service and after sales care. Got a Varia AKU scale which was faulty and David was in communication straight away, sent out a replacement and then another when that one got stolen in the post! Excellent supplier and couldn’t recommend enough.

Awesome service!

I haven't even received my order yet, but wanted to say how good the service has been... messaged about changing my delivery option and got a response and solution offered within 5 mins of contacting them... 5 star service for sure 😀

The personal touch, the good products, and price

A very positive experience. I had been on the lookout for a better coffee hand grinder as my current one could not do the precision required for an espresso machine. After some research of my own and a discussion on the Sigma chat with David this was narrowed down to the Kingrinder K6. A good competitive price from Sigma and in stock when very few were available. The turnaround to the order was quick, and the delivery too. Subsequently, David has helped with follow up questions. Very happy with my experience with Sigma. The product itself is well worth it, I was surprised to find myself being prepared to pay as much as I did for a coffee grinder even though there are plenty cost even more. Now I have regularly used it I am sold on it, and it really enables me to "dial" in the grind of my fresh coffee beans and get the best results from my espresso machine.

Great Small Business

Tried Sigma for the first time as they had a well priced little coffee scale I wanted for my new espresso machine. Delivery day rolls round and Royal Mail claim to have delivered it, only to send me a picture of it outside the wrong house.

I got onto Sigma and within an hour David had resolved the problem, and even offered to replace it for me while they sorted it out with Royal Mail. Had my scale the very next day. Top company, top customer service. Would recommend.

Amazing and personal customer service

I bought a hand grinder from Sigma which really didn't have the grind consistency that I needed for my espresso. I opened up the chat function, and spoke to David almost immediately. I explained that the grinder I bought really wasn't doing what I needed it to do - not a problem with Sigma, but rather the grinder itself. David kicked in to action really quickly and offered a few ways to resolve and both on chat and email kept in very close contact as I resolved the issue and ordered a new grinder.

I judge smaller companies like this not on the successful purchases, but how they respond when there is an issue. Here the issue was with the grinder, not Sigma, but they bent over backwards to help me and gave me amazing customer service. I couldn't have aske for any more, and they have certainly secured my future purchases because I feel that if there are any issues, Sigma will help me resolve in a fair and fast way.

I would very much recommend Sigma, and hope that their attention to customers wins them many more customers.

Avoid - taken money no item

Ordered and paid for Royal Mail 24 - which on Royal Mail's own website means next working day delivery, or as close to it as possible, this company hadn’t even processed my order the following day, let alone sent out to Royal Mail.
I have now been told by 'David' at Sigma, Royal Mail 24 does not mean 24 it means something else and I should have read Sigma T's and C's why charge for 24 when it means something else - personally I feel the customer service is rude and unhelpful. I have therefore requested a refund as trust with this company is now lost. I have now found the product cheaper via an eBay seller and utilising Royal Mail 24 have a tracking number with a delivery date of next working day - I would also questions why most of their ‘positive’ reviews on here are from people with very few, if any previous reviews

To give context to the above:

Chris ordered at 13:42 on Monday. This is already past our advertised 11:59am cutoff period for dispatch.

Chris emailed 18 hours later at 10am on Tuesday demanding that the order be cancelled as "we did not fulfil our obligations under a 24 hours delivery period". We state on our website that orders placed after 11:59am are dispatched the next working day.

We tried to explain this to Chris.

We apologised that he misunderstood and missed our terms of service for dispatch, and sent links for our terms (and Royal Mail's terms which do not state next working day - and we also do not advertise this service as a next working day service).

Chris also misquotes David as live chat transcripts do not show David ever saying that "Tracked 24 means a minimum of 48" this is never stated - so it is again sad to see an untruth stated here. What is also a mischaracterisation is the statement that we offered no solution - Chris demanded a refund and cancellation in his first message and we honoured that straight away, anything other than honouring his wishes would have been unreasonable of us and coercive, and Sigma is not that.

It is quite clear Chris wanted the product as soon as possible, which is completely understandable, however the terms hadn't been breeched as they were either misunderstood or not read.

Chris then accused us for falsely advertising and "hiding behind our T&C's".

The reader can probably make their own mind about this, we apologised and explained all of this to Chris, unfortunately this did not lead to any amicable conclusion as Chris only demanded a refund which we executed immediately.

Tl;Dr - 18 hours after purchase (purchased after an advertised 11:59am dispatch cutoff) Chris states we were being misleading about our delivery date. Our policy clearly states 1) dispatch cutoff at 11:59am and 2) Tracked 24 is delivered in 1-2 working days. It had only been 18 hours and hadn't been dispatched yet due to our advertised dispatch cutoff time having passed by two hours. Immediate refund and cancellation of the order was honoured as per customer request.

Heroic Sigma Saves a Poor Fool

I made an absolute goof of myself by ordering the wrong coffee grinder. To make matters worse, I did it on a Friday and had the audacity to contact this team in the evening.

But to my astonishment, they picked up.

The name "David" came on my screen like a graceful angel descending from the heavens upon this graceless fool that is me.

David fixed my conundrum faster than you could say James Hoffman.

David had the warmhearted kindness of a mother who's tending to their ill stricken child.

David was like the friends we made all along.

And just like that, this hero disappeared into the almost night, very likely onto the next helpless soul like me which made a classic ordering blunder.

The bottom line: Sigma Coffee truly earned the name "Sigma" on this day, and probably long before I even knew them.

Coffee Grinder Purchase

Besides stocking great products at great prices.. David at Sigma Coffee provides excellent customer care, responding to some immediate queries even in the evenings. This made all the difference and I'll be ordering again!

Very good experience

I made my first order from this site last month, a timemore grinder. It was £20 cheaper than Amazon and was delivered 2 days after ordering. Would definitely order again.

Impeccable customer care and quality products

I am new to the coffee scene, so i appreciated the staff at Sigma devoting their time to help me choose the perfect coffee products to get me started. I initially placed an order but wasnt 100% sure on the product therefore reached out to Sigma to change my order . David was a great help who responded to my query promptly and couldnt help me enough, he altered my order and then talked me through what products may be suitable for me as a newbie. I ended up ordering an electric grinder, scales and some other accessories. These were dispatched quickly and arrived without delay. Over all i found ordering from Sigma Coffee a great experience and i will be ordering again .

sigma coffee are really professionals

sigma coffee are really professionals. Unbelievable help in everything I've asked for and they responded almost immediately to all emalis questions. I highly recommend them. Their products are very high quality. I have tried the Timore Black Mirror mini scale and it is fantastic. Although very accurate in measurement, it is small and fits under the tray of my Rancilio silvia espresso machine. Very easy to use with many advantages. I have just now ordered a second scale that I additionally needed, the Timore black mirror 2 scale. Congratulations Sigma.

I ordered a grinder £315 pound paid for it Dave owns the company says he sent it out with dpd parcel went missing from where he took it dpd says gone missing at pick up shop Dave says he opened an investigation dpd says he haven't just go to show how Dave lied to me to keep my money when I said to him want my refund when I said to him court action I had my refund
al so trying to get me to sign to say if parcel get delivered to send back I told him not signing any thing in short keep away from sigma coffee they are corrupt company I am going to report this company to company house and trading standards I said to him end me the proof that you opened a investigation with dpd I declined be safe don't order from sigma coffee uk

I asked him to open an investigation he said he have I spoke to dpd on the phone at least 4 times and they said he hasn't opened the company said they posted the item on Friday to day which is the 1st may still havent left dpd as not collected the parcel because he did not post it at all or he knows the person in the shop posted it then took it back I asked for proof he did not show me any proof at all and dpd hasn't collected it so ware is the parcel ask sigma coffee uk they got it don't order from this company unless you want to loose your money

We would like to give some context to the above review.

1) We Emailed Richard immediately after the order was made on Friday to inform that we could not fulfil the order due to a warehouse software glitch. Cancellation was requested and actioned immediately with a refund within one hour of the order being made.
2) We explained that we could send the item out later that evening (after the regular dispatch time), Richard agreed and was informed that delivery wouldn’t be guaranteed for the weekend.
3) On Monday at 10am Richard got in contact with us to claim the item was lost. We informed right away that the weekend had elapsed and no movement of the parcel would have taken place, but we raised an investigation with the courier immediately and shared our email via screenshot to Richard (despite claims of lying)
4) On Tuesday Richard requested an immediate refund for which we agreed and kindly asked for a Denial of Receipt form to be signed which was refused - suspicious.
5) Richard became increasingly aggressive, threatened a chargeback and threatened court action multiple times with foul language against our staff.
6) Bear in mind we were constantly in contact with Richard, often at early hours of the day and late hours of the evening.
7) As a result of the above, we issued Richard with a full refund despite it being only 3 days after the parcel was initially sent (and the day after the estimated delivery date), we kindly asked to end the conversation due to the aggressive nature. We did not need to issue any refund at this time, but we did in order to stop the incessant messaging and insults against our staff.
8) After a refund had been issued, we then received another message from Richard further threatening court action again and “hoping our customers see my TrustPilot review”
9) I happen to be the member of staff that dealt with this ticket and have recorded multiple hours of chat time with Richard in particular. We tried multiple times to resolve this issue, trying to explain that we would investigate with DPD, to have a little patience while the investigation develops, and reassuring Richard that a full refund and/or replacement would be the least we would do in the case that the item is deemed missing. We further offered a £20 discount to the order should the item turn up and Richard chose to keep it.
10) In my life of customer service, I have never felt so uncomfortable. The content of the above review is probably clear enough for you to make your own decision. It felt like everything we offered was not helpful, everything we said was not useful. It’s a sad reality, that sometimes no matter what you do – however many miles you stretch, nothing seems reasonable.

In short. Friday evening the order was made, we went out of our way to dispatch this way after the deadline. After the weekend on Monday at 10am, the parcel is claimed to be lost (the estimated delivery date was Monday) with multiple insults thrown at us. We offered multiple solutions including refunds, replacements and discounts but nothing helped. In the end we were threatened with 'court action' and we decided to issue a full refund to stop the nightmare.

Sigma have been fantastic from start to…

Sigma have been fantastic from start to finish , I originally ordered the Varia vs3 grinder along with some accessories which arrived within 2 days of my order and I was provided with shipping updates at each point which made the process very simple thank you .

In the past week I have gone back to Sigma to order some scales which i initially ordered in the wrong colour by mistake , I went into the website chat facility and David was able to amend my order immediately without delay thank you so much for this I will continue to use your site going forward, it’s nice to support good independent businesses such as this one.
