Waiting for Farmacist

Stood in line today along with about 8 other people waiting for the store to open at 9.00am. At five after nine we were told that they could not open the store until the pharmacist arrives for work. Waited until 9.10am and then we were told the store would not open until 9:30. Had conversation with other people and learned that the pharmacist has done this on many occasions in the past. This is unacceptable. Considering not shopping at this store anymore and I live locally. Frustrating.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Placed an online order. One item (Armani Beauty highlighter) arrived defective. Called customer service for a replacement. Sent photos. Received an email saying to return it by mail but they didn’t attach the postage label. Emailed them every day for a week to get the label but no response. Tried call customer service again this weekend but the answer message says they’re closed despite calling during the hours posted on their website. Will never buy beauty products from here again. Sephora’s customer service is superior - always so easy to deal with.

Last resort to shop here now

Living in the GTA, Shoppers Drug Mart is everywhere — it’s supposed to be the convenient, go-to spot for essentials. But convenience means nothing when the service is consistently disappointing. In-store isn’t great, but ordering online? Somehow worse. The website feels like it was designed a decade ago with zero input from anyone who’s actually used the internet. Glitchy, slow, and completely user-unfriendly.

And then there’s their delivery service — Metro Supply Chain — which is, without exaggeration, the worst courier experience I’ve ever had. Packages get lost, delivery attempts are phantoms (no doorbell, no knock, nothing), and the tracking system is a joke. One minute the package is 10 minutes away, three hours later it’s 22 minutes away, and the map looks like the driver’s on a scenic hot air balloon tour of Southern Ontario.

Worse still, they don’t respond to feedback. No acknowledgment, no apologies, no accountability. Prices are higher than competitors, and when you try to reach out via chat or email, you spend time writing detailed, helpful feedback — only for the system to crash and erase everything. It’s like they’re intentionally making it hard to be heard.

This company has clearly outgrown any interest in caring about its customers. I like collecting PC Optimum points, but honestly? I’d rather shop somewhere that respects its customers’ time, money, and intelligence.

Game Changer

Just used pan Oxl face acne wash and it made my face feel so clean; I’m really happy with this face wash my face feels like it is still being cleaned after it has been rinsed off. I can’t wait to see the result that come with the long term use in using this product.

Worst Customer Care of "Shoppers Drug Mart"

I called customer care of "Shoppers Drug Mart" to inquire about a refund. The customer care executive doesn't have patience to even listen to your queries. Even before I complete my query, the executive has disconnected my call.
It is quite surprising that the company like "Shoppers Drug Mart" has such pathetic customer care service.

No Tax Promo a bait and switch scam

I was sent an Optimum promo for No Tax on most items, in store only on September 1st from 12 am to 11:59 pm. I shopped and at the till, the Supervisor said "It says at participating stores" which I believe meant not at Loblaws or the other stores the app promotes. I feel absolutely cheated. I want SDM to make it up to me.

Lazy pharmacist

So I just been to shoppers drug Mart location 8962 152 st surrey bc.
The pharmacist was asking for to wait for one and half hour, which is way too long. Seems like doesn’t feel like to work there. Prescription is a simple but his excuse that he is alone.
it was busy at all. I’ve been in hospital for approximately 12 hours and get my prescription from here but he’s giving me more waiting their time than usual which was very disappointing.

Completely backwards company!

Don’t ever bring anything from another store that can be cross branded to their stores these jerks will lie cheat and say you stole it even when you didn’t so now I walk in with generic brand stuff from other stores they try and say I stole it yeah ok stupid it’s great value brand like can’t you read? Or do you just not care! Oh yeah I forgot you don’t care. And by the way I’ve watched so many people steal from your stores and half the time you don’t even do anything. So you’d rather go after people who don’t steal and just let the real thieves get away with it? Figures…..

Stay away from buying prepared visa cards at shoppers drug mart

When I went into the store on king st west in oshawa I was a regular customer and was in this store almost every night due to my occupation I was in there at nights and they were open 24 hours. I was using my optimal card regurly as I thought the prices were a little high and it helped . When I was surprised to hear that I won a million points on the card . It worked out to a 1000 dallers worth of merchandise. I was in that store everynight for about a year buying groceries and whatever I needed . I remained a loyal customer for many months until I bought a 500 prepayed visa card because at the time i was buying bitcoin and had my bank card cancelled several times .After I bought the card I went to pay my phone bill and my crypto but the card had no money except for 1.69 left and I was only gone from the store strait home and it took about 20 min
Both visa and shoppers gave me several unacceptable excuses and shoppers directed me to some service out of the country who pretended it was the first time I called when I had called everyday for 2 weeks until they wore me out . I can prove all this as I kept the bill and I used my bank card to buy the visa but after time the bill has lost the ink and unreadable and neither company was willing to help or investigate

Self checkout

Well, I never like to use the self check out starting by the fact that I have seen that you can get into trouble by using it, as they can say that you stole, and also for the fact that they have high prices and are looking for short cuts by firing people and forcing clients to work by doing the self check out, so I always do the line.

At this store at 7060 Warden Ave, the cashier refuse to let me pay, so I left the products and call the store to let them know that is not ok to force their clients to use self check out and they should hire people to do the job, however, the manager was so rude, she said the system gets slow and that's why you have to use self check out. I told her, that before they used to have 2 people and worked well, and that I spend from 200 to 300 per month at shoppers, between OTC and beauty products and she just start making fun of me like saying that is not an important ammount.

Usually a good manager looks to hear the customers and try to improve but with managers like that, I'm not surprise the store has bad service.

Unacceptable and hostile behavior of pharmacy staff

To: Pharmacy Manager
Shoppers Drug Mart – Courtenay, BC

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Conduct and Poor Service

Dear Pharmacy Manager,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Courtenay, BC location during a recent visit to pick up a prescription.

After waiting in line, a staff member located my prescription but informed me I would need to wait for the other till, as one was out of order. The only working till was occupied by several staff members and an elderly gentleman who was communicating by writing due to a speech impairment. While I fully understand and respect the need for careful consultation in such cases, the till was not being used for transactions during this time.

I politely suggested that the consultation be moved to the non-functional till area so that the working till could be used to assist other waiting customers. In response, I was met with an unprofessional and hostile reaction from a staff member who accused me of lacking compassion, being impatient, and thinking I was “so important.” This response was not only inappropriate but also deeply disrespectful, especially given the reasonable nature of my request.

This experience was unacceptable. No customer should be subjected to such treatment when raising a valid concern. As a result, I will no longer be using your pharmacy services and will be advising others to avoid this location as well.

I hope you take this matter seriously and address the conduct of your staff to ensure other customers are not treated in the same manner.

I go to shoppers drug Mart a few times a week. When I went there today, they had no tea and no milk This isn’t the first time this has happened to me. It’s ridiculous. If I could give 0 stars I would have done that. One of the worst Shoppers out there in Milton Ontario.

The staff at Pharmacy are often wrong and always rude.
This store is 10 to 50 % more expensive on EVERYTHING than London Drugs or other nearby stores.
Long lines always. The neighborhood deserves much better.People need to consider options.

I wish I could NOT even give a one…

I wish I could NOT even give a one star. Now they have a fantastic company Metro Supply Chain doing the deliveries and it is a DISASTER.
I never had issues before and I have had deliveries at home and now you have to wait ALL day for the delivery guy. We have a system where all deliveries companies use and this one is the exception.
Lesson learned-Do not order anything!!!

Was at checkout cashier has no clue what they were doing. Told her at least 4 times what I wanted her to do with my tickets and she couldn't do it. To top it all off her name tag said she was a cashier supervisor. How can you be a supervisor and not know how to the job?
